The carpet looks very good. The upstairs carpeting was in fine shape already and just needed a light cleaning. But the carpeting on the steps to the basement was worn and dirty, and the rest of the basement carpeting really needed a good cleaning. The basement carpeting, including the steps, looks much improved - clean and much fluffier. I gave A Plus a "C" for professionalism because the hose leaked on the wool rug in the entryway. One large area of the rug (about 25 percent) was saturated. Had my husband not noticed it, the hardwood underneath would have been ruined. Some type of floor protection (a tarp or whatever) should have been placed underneath the hose. Since the leakage from the hose may have been dirty water, I'm going to have the rug cleaned.

We had such a great experience when A-Plus re-carpeted our living room, basement stairs and basement family room in 2009, they were our first choice. We got a few other quotes to be sure, but we weren't impressed with the competition's price, quality or professionalism. When I called Lou Valentine, our salesman at A-Plus, I was shocked and pleased that he remembered me, our townhouse, the prior job, and even our family over a year after we had work done!! This time, we were re-carpeting in preparation for selling our home, and Lou was able to give low-cost recommendations that would still look very nice. Just like the last time we worked with A-Plus, Lou was able to sketch out a way to cover all the areas (bedrooms, hall, closet floors, steps) and minimize waste so they wouldn't buy/cut more carpet than was needed. Lou has many years' experience in this industry and this shows that A-Plus is really trying to deliver the best value to their customers. Lou also provided a quote at our request to replace some laminate flooring in our kitchen/dining room. Later when we met with our realtors, they said it wasn't necessary. Still, Lou had valuable suggestions and was able to provide a very competitive quote. The installation team was professional and fast. There was a small glitch because screwing down the subfloor wasn't written on the work order. However, the workmen called into the office to check and it was resolved right away. They moved a lot of furniture and were very careful with all of it. And I haven't seen any scuff marks on our baseboards, even on the stairs! They did a great job cleaning up when they were done. The carpet looks fantastic and certainly makes our house look better to prospective buyers. Everyone who's walked through has commented how they love the thick padding, which A-Plus sells as their standard with all orders! It was such a great experience. I can't recommend A-Plus enough!

They were wonderful to work with. Rosemary came out 3 times and Eric, the owner, came out twice. They were making sure I was happy, and they themselves were beyond awesome. I would recommend them to everybody. In fact, I'm having them come back next year to refinish the floor in the kitchen and my bathroom to match the other color of flooring they installed.

The carpeting and hardwood had originally been purchased for our son for a condo he was buying. When the sale fell through, we were forced to take the goods for ourselves or lose a large amount of money to restocking fees. Fortunately, we needed new carpeting. It's not exactly a color I would have picked but that's not their problem. We had most of our dealings with Rosemary. She was very accommodating and tried her best to make this work out best for us.We did pay a little more for some Duraceramic than we would have if we ordered it on the web but that was a small part of the bill. (We were installing it ourselves in our laundry room. ) She helped us get a wood for our bedroom that we would like because the wood our son had chosen wasn't what we wanted. We had one small setback with the carpet because the goods they received had problems with the backing. We had to reschedule and Eric offered a free carpet cleaning because of the delay. The men who came to install the wood did an adequate job. We have since noticed a few spots on the edges of some boards that are a little nicked. I'm a perfectionist so I notice these things. Overall, we were happy with the work. The carpet people came on another day. I thought they did a good job and never found any carpet tacks or other debris. We wanted to save some of the old carpet and they were very obliging about rolling it up for us. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and Rosemary practically became one of the family for awhile. She was very kind to our son and helpful when he was trying to choose what he wanted for his condo. It was going to be our gift to him, but it didn't quite work as we planned. She made this big problem work out well for us.

The technician arrived promptly, was courteous and tidy. He apologized when he couldn't remove some spots. (They had been there for years.) Overall, very nice job for a one-man crew in 60 mins.

Mr. Valentine was punctual, professional, and helpful when measuring and going over carpeting choices. Estimate was given on the spot. Their price was 2nd best among the 3 estimates I received. I don't go strictly by price, but the winning bidder gave me no reason to pay slightly more.

This company was fantastic-on time, affordable, very polite, and did great work. We had a number of pet stains and they cleaned them all-carpets looked better than new. Carpets dried very quickly (within a couple hours) and did not smell at all. I would highly recommend this company.

This is the third review that I've written, as we had a lot of back and forth but ultimately, I'm very happy with the outcome. Our floors look terrific and we're very happy with them. Our experience with our salesperson, Lou, was positive and he was knowledgeable and thorough in answering my many questions. I liked that we were able to visit the showroom on a Saturday morning as well as late on a weekday evening to accommodate our family's schedule. There were a few snags along the way, but in the end, the owner Eric went well out of his way to see that we were happy and that the work was completed to our satisfaction. For example, our house key was lost by one of his employees, and he came to our home himself to install new locks for us. About two weeks after the work was completed, we discovered a large spot on our family room carpet (not the room where work had been performed) of polyurethane, that had dried and ruined the carpet. At first, Eric offered $150 off the replacement of our carpet, but I wasn't thrilled as we didn't have the other $1500 or so to cough up to replace the carpet at this time. When he found out that I wasn't satisfied with that solution, he personally came to our home again and spoke with my husband (and me over the phone) to reach a solution with us. He agreed to replace our carpet at his expense and scheduled the replacement of that carpet on the same day. There are many service industry businesses that want their customers happy and that provide customer service. However, I feel that Eric at A Plus went above and beyond what is typical to see that we were happy and that we'd want to use him again. Our "wish list" for home improvements is long, but as we are financially able to upgrade some other floors in our home, I will certainly be calling A Plus again.

Our salesperson was Rosemary and she had good ideas about the type of carpet that would work for our needs. After she came to our home to measure, we met her at the showroom and took home samples. We made selections based on her recommendation and I believe she worked to get us the best price. The installers were puctual but they did not have any tack strips with them, so they left to buy some. When they returned they worked hard all day; however, we did have communication issues with English being their second language. We were supposed to have a wooden threshold, but they only had metal and did not seem concerned that that was incorrect. They said to call the office and it would be taken care of later. They did not clean up after themselves as thoroughly as I would have liked (I found some tacks on our walkway that could have been stepped on!) I had other workers from A plus come out twice, once to install the correct wooden threshold, and once to stretch places of the carpet that had pulled away from the wall. I wish it would have been done correctly the first time, but I am pleased with the end result. The carpet we selected is beautiful and feels great underfoot. I hope it lasts for many years!

A Plus was great! The salesman came to our house, he was professional and provided us with a couple of estimates for the entire house as well as separate estimates just to carpet the living room. The estimates were fairly priced. We visited their showroom and were able to choose the carpet and color, Rosemary assisted us and was extremely helpful. There was no pressure at all to sign, they gave us plenty of time to consider our options and were more than willing to install carpet only in the living room. Installation took only a few hours, the crew was quick, efficient and made sure to clean everything up when they were finished. One additional note: there was a small imperfection in the carpet pad, we called A Plus and the next day they came back to remove the small knot in the pad at no charge. They were great throughout the process and I would highly recommend them, I know we will be calling them back to get the rest of the carpet replaced.

Eric and his team installed carpeting in my whole house and was very good to work with. There was a mixup on the pad that I had ordered the morning of the installation. I called A-plus and within an hour Eric had located an even better pad and had it delivered in time to complete the installation on schedule. Eric even stopped by the house himself to look at the finished product. The carpet looks great and was a good value. The only complaint that I had was that the installers could have done a better job of removing the old staples from the floor. After installation I was finding a few staples in the carpet which could be a big problem walking barefoot.

The installation went well and we are extremely pleased with the results. The workforce is extremely conscientious during installation and spent a significant amount of time placing wood and making sure the overall result on the floor was pleasing and layed out well. The result is beautiful. Wrapping up the small details was a bit challenging and took some time but Eric was always responsive, returned calls and made sure all the details were complete. I highly recommend A plus carpet and flooring.

A-Plus did an excellent job from start to finish. Almost immediately after sending them an email inquiry I was called by Rosemary to discuss my needs. She made sure that I knew their location and hours. She also told me that she was willing to stay late if I had trouble making it in to their showroom in time and gave me her personal mobile phone number. When we went to the showroom they had a nice room off to the side for our kids to play in so that we could discuss flooring without being distracted. Rosemary showed us several products and set up an appointment to have our home measured. We were in a very tight time crunch as we were having our new furniture delivered in about a week and wanted the carpet replaced before the furniture showed up. Their people were prompt, polite, and efficient. The measurement and carpet installation went perfectly. The installer made absolutely sure that I was pleased before he left. I got a follow-up call within a day or two from Rosemary to make sure that everything was to my satisfaction. I was very impressed with A-Plus and will be using them for all of my future flooring needs.

In the process of installing the new floor, the installers were supposed to remove both the toilet and vanity from the powder room; they only removed the toilet and did the flooring around the vanity in a rather half-a** fashion. I had trouble communicating w/ the installers b/c they spoke very little English. I called the company that night w/ some of my concerns, and Eric came out the next day in an attempt to address them. I'm not thrilled w/ the experience, but overall, the floor looks good (but a bit crooked, which Eric said was because my house was crooked, natch). Wouldn't use them again, though.

"Yes the house was built in 1966 and yes the walls are not straight. We always recommend the best type of installation for the required job. The removal of the existing vinyl would have costed over $1000.00 and was not necessary. The customer agreed with this. The customer complained that we laid the vinyl off center and that we laid it at an angle. I Eric Rome showed up ASAP and showed that we did the job correctly. Once the customer saw the truth about the walls the complaint was over. We did a perfect job and addressed all issues. I wish all walls were perfect however in this house they were not close to straight. We did exactly the specified work on the contract and did a great job. The service I believe was great too. I appreciate the nice rating We have a review listed in the "Home inspection" section from the member. We posted a response however I need to add to the response stating the following "Removal of the vanity was never discussed and not in our contract. My carpet salesman was excellent in showing and explaining the carpets and padding available. Unfortunately, he was taken ill and that led to problems. My biggest complaint is with communication. I had to actually take out my contract and show it to the head workman to prove that what I said was to be done was correct and not the notes on his work sheet. He definitely had an attitude problem with this rather than just making a phone call to resolve the situation. The owner got involved quickly which was good, but when they were starting to lay down the padding, I noticed that it was not what I had ordered. Again the head workman acted like I was the one with the problem and inconveniencing him. If I hadn't paid attention, they would have put the wrong padding down and I would never have known about it. The other problem I had was I wanted the carpet taken up one day and the new carpeting installed another. We have very squeaky floors and I wanted my husband to screw the floors down. Eric said they would take care of it and had special equipment to do this. So, I let them. Eric came and took care of the squeaks in one room-great job. Then he left and the workmen were responsible. I guess they just didn't know exactly how to do this because I still have squeaks in my other 2 rooms. Was very upset- I should have had my husband take care of this. On the positive side, the men did a great job of laying down the padding and installing the carpet. It is beautiful. So, make sure every little detail is in writing- watch to make sure you are getting the correct carpet and padding.

They did an excellent job of both the carpeting and the hardwood flooring and for a excellent price. They are very responsive to questions and concerns and show a strong desire to make sure their customers are happy with their product. Also, their representative, Rosemary, was wonderful and worked with us even thought she was dealing with complications outside of her control.

Mostly I love my floors. The hardwood is perfect. The workers were very efficent. Some of the details they thought of were beautiful, like putting darker molding along the kitchen cabinets to match them. Marcus called when they moved the fridge out to put the laminte underneath to let me know my icemaker was leaking and that it needed to be fixed or it would wreck the flooring which I appreciated because I had no idea the ice maker was leaking. He also told me he tried to shut off the water supply but couldn't figure it out - I have to give him points for trying, I didn't know how to shut if off either. He also told me I needed to put felt pads on my funiture so I wouldn't scratch the new floors. He told me many times, I got the impression people ignore that warning. When they put the molding by the pantry the nails went through to the stairway. Eric (owner) came out to look and they paid the handyman who was coming the next day to repair that as well as a hole they put in the wall pulling out a bookcase that was secured by a screw at the top. Some of the things I didn't like were not setting the nails deeper in the molding in the foyer. You can see them sticking up. The worker basically said that's the way they are. Some of the edges of the molding were put in so that no unfinished wood was showing and some were not. The front, back and pantry doors needed to be shortened because the laminate was about 1/4" higher. I had to pay a handyman to cut them down - the workers who put down the floor didn't want to be bothered even though they had a saw.

My experience below was from a carpet stretching job, so I'll leave it here. I'm updating to say that A Plus came to refinish our floors in our former home. I was impressed by how quickly the process was - from estimate to finished in under a week. The floors were gorgeous, the trim looks great. We had a small carpet stretching job that needing doing in our new home. This company was very quick in providing an estimate and scheduling a repair, which was good news because our furniture was being moved in in a few days time. The team who came to do the repair were honest in letting us know that the carpet was damaged enough that a full stretch would not be possible. They also warned that because the carpet was damaged (broken through the padding underneath), the stretching might not last. I appreciated this; they could have just done the repair and let it go at that. We went ahead with the repair with astounding results. The carpet looks 100% better than it did. When we have to get this carpet replaced down the road, we will certainly use this honest and reliable company.

Eric came to give us an estimate. He was punctual, thorough and gave us a bunch of options for carpeting. I felt comfortable with him and his company immediately, and therefore elected to have them do the work. The carpet arrived in the exact amount number of days that he predicted, and they immediately called to schedule installation. Every time I called them, I spoke with a very friendly, helpful person who made sure that all of the arrangements were handled quickly and appropriately. They were very accommodating to my schedule, even when I asked to change the installation date. They installed the carpet quickly and efficiently and it looks great! 1 or 2 small marks were left behind on our freshly-painted wall, but I don't consider this to be a big deal.

Services was great. for example, after the carpet was initially installed, they called us weeks later to say they'd learned of sub-standard carpet production from the manufacturer. They insisted on installing superior grade carpet and carried out the job within a week of notifying us at no cost ($0) to us! These guys are great. DEPENDABLE, reasonably priced and prompt!

I made it clear it was a rental, but they tried to put on too many add ons. I wasn't interested in doing too much, since it was a rental. They were very friendly, but didn't listen to what I was saying.

He was right on time and here about 2 hours. Very professional and flexible. There was absolutely no cleaner residue smell (which I loved.) The carpets were almost dry when he finished and the carpet pile was pulled up and fluffy like it was when it was new. I would absolutely use him again!
