They provide individualized attention. They've never lost or broken anything. They are hard workers and they always do what they say they will. They are family owned and they are very reputable.

They were excellent. They are a family owned company. They had to go into three homes to pick up or deposit furniture and even took some to furniture we didn't want to an antique shop. Most people have trouble with movers, but I didn't have any problem with Moyer's. My mother's real estate agent and the antique store recommended them to me. They were so efficient, from the estimator to the actual movers. They are a very big outfit and I saw them in action. They could suggest the arrangement of furniture and moved everything without a scratch. They charged by the hour and they didn't waste a bit of time. It was a first class operation all the way around. I thought they were very reasonably priced too.

They have been really accomadating and have had good customer service. They packed and unpacked for us,  picked up all the extra boxes, and took apart our beds for us. They will put back all your beds and dressers together too. They did a great job labeling all the boxes. We will only use them to move us. I think the price is great for all that they do.

We love them. They are terrific. They do partial loads. I have recommended them. They are not the lowest. They are very careful. The final amount was lower than what we had thought. They were very nice and respectful.

We had a great experience with Moyer and Sons. Everybody was very polite and cautious. They were here when they said they were going to be here.

A large tree fell on our house. We had Moyer move furniture out of the affected room and attic and they stored it for about six months, then moved it all back in. They were very professional, reliable and easy to work with. I highly recommend them.

They did a fine job moving and did not scratch or dent anything. But they are not inexpensive.

My moving experience with Moyer and Sons went very well, and I would recommend them for local moves. (I do not have experience with their out-of-state moves.) I requested an in-home estimate via their website outside business hours, and they called back within a few hours of opening the same day. Everyone I interacted with was extremely professional and customer-oriented. Their estimate was not the lowest I received, but it wasn't unreasonably high, and I felt the quality of my experience made up for the price difference.

Moyer and Sons gave me the option of buying boxes from them, which I declined, or coming to their warehouse to pick up any used boxes they had available, which I did. They also brought packing materials for my panel TV and used wardrobe boxes the day of the move, free of charge. The moving team arrived on time the day of the move, were friendly and professional, and were very careful as they carried and stacked boxes and furniture. The only issue (very minor) I had was that the moving team did not have directions to my new house or GPS, so I had have them follow my car. If you use Moyer and Sons, I recommend having directions ready for them when they arrive--probably a good idea for any moving company, really.

It went very well. We had many antique pieces of furniture and many breakable items - and a large quantity of items to move. They were on time, followed the schedule, and accomplished everything as estimated, within the estimated cost. They were very careful with everything - being very careful, for example, to cover the floors in both locations with cardboard to avoid any floor damage. They helped us place furniture items in the new house, and on a few occasions had no objection to moving furniture between floors, even in the new place. Four men worked very quickly and effectively, and put everything just where we asked them to. Moving is difficult but they did a great job, were good to work with, and we'd use them again.

The movers arrived on time to pick up the items from the storage unit. They did not need to pack any items (an extra cost which had been specified in detail in the contract). They understood and assisted me with keeping my own list of items (I had printed up a sheet with numbers so that I could identify things as they were loaded on the truck). They made sure I didn't miss anything. When we did miss two items, they added them to the bottom of the list. They started at 9:00 am and finished by 12:30 pm. I signed the paper authenticating the "light weight" (the weight of the empty truck) and followed the truck when packed with my items to the Moyer scale in Gaithersburg, MD, to see the "gross weight" (the weight of the loaded truck). They did not mind at all and even made sure I didn't get lost on the Interstate during the 45 minute drive. I tipped all three guys $20 each. I called headquarters in MD on the night before delivery and they assured me the truck would be there between 9 and 10. The driver actually arrived at 8:15 am. I think there was a mix-up since New Orleans is on Central Time -- not a problem, really. Unfortunately, the two helpers that Moyer had lined up to assist the driver didn't show up -- typical New Orleans. It took a couple of hours to find replacements but they were excellent when they did arrive. The truck had to park at the end of the block because electric wires were hanging too low to drive the truck under. They had to carry everything from the truck down the block to the house. I had two different people checking off my list -- one person as the items were carried off the truck and the other person as they were carried into the house. NOTHING was lost. The corner of a particle board file cabinet was broken (small damage) -- the only damage! When I lost track of a weather vane, the driver offered to look under all the pads in the truck. We knew the vane had been outside the truck but just I couldn't remember where it got to. The driver was willing to look through the items we had unloaded in the house but I wouldn't let him. We found it. I tipped all three guys $30 each. Moyer did exactly what they said they would do and charged me exactly what they said they were going to charge me.

They were on time and professional. They did excellent work, but had a high price. The price shown was to move from North Carolina to Maryland and they packed our fragile belongings for us. Everything arrived in great condition.

It was fantastic! Our estimate was spot on (make sure you make a list of all your large items before contacting any moving company) and the team was professional, motivated and extremely pleasant to work with! I would hire them again!

This is our fourth move utilizing Moyer and Sons, and as always was as easy as a move can go. They showed up at our home in Atlanta with six employees and carefully packed every item in the house. We were on a tight schedule, and the time for the pack and load was limited to three days. When it looked like it might take longer, Moyer hired local people form Atlanta to keep the schedule. They arrived at our new house as scheduled and had sufficient employees to complete the unload/unpack ahead of schedule. When it was all done, we could only find two small items (with a value of less than $100) damage and Moyer promptly paid for them.

The moving team showed up two days after the Valentine's Day ice storm. We were nervous about how they would deal with the ice but they assured us it was not going to be a problem. They were right! They maneuvered the truck expertly and were able to load everything without a hitch. They provided wardrobe boxes (for free) and also loaded all the hanging clothes into them (and removed them on the other end). They were extremely careful with a few fragile pieces. Even though they could have managed with one truck, they used two, so they wouldn't have to take the time to carefully fit everything into one. At the unloading end, they placed every piece as requested (even when we changed our minds). They used carpet protectors everywhere. The whole team was courteous, efficient, and very strong!! We had absolutely no damage to anything, not even scrapes on the walls. It was as close to a stress-free move as one could hope for!

THEIR PRICES WERE COMPETITIVE WITH OTHER MOVING COMPANIES, BUT I LIKED THE FACT THAT THEY GAVE ME USED BOXES AND PAPER. THEY MOVED ME THREE TIMES OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS AND EACH TIME THEY HAVE NEVER BROKEN ANYTHING OR DAMAGED WALLS. THEY PUT PROTECTIVE PLASTIC OVER THE FLOORING, AND PADDED THE TILE and WOOD SURFACES. THE BIDS WERE ON TIME, AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN EXACT OR SLIGHTLY UNDER. MY PARENTS USED A DIFFERENT COMPANY AND THEY HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!
