Beware!!  Do not go to Freestate Auto & Truck if you value your money and your vehicle.  They will charge outrageous prices, ruin your car, lie about it, then charge you again to fix it.  Had my car worked on at Freestate twice within 15 days for a coolant and oil leak.  Spent a total of $2845.74. Everything seemed fine.  I worked from home a lot during that time so I didn't drive the car that much.  Two weeks later I started my car and the engine starts knocking/tapping.  Brought the car back to Freestate and they held it over night running test.  Freestate called me the next morning and said my oil pan was dented badly and leaking       oil and it wasn't like that 2 weeks ago.  I never hit anything because I hardly ever drove the car within those 2 weeks.  Freestate even suggested that maybe I hit a speed bump with ice on top of it.???  I know I never hit anything.  Besides it was a former police vehicle with a clearance level of amazing that I've had for almost 8 years.   Freestate told me it would be another $800.00 dollars to do the work of replacing the oil pan.  I took my car home, then spoke to several mechanics from GM/Chevy,  also a rep from Mobile 1 oil, and Autozone.  Turns out since I've been using Full Synthetic Oil for years and it's a high mileage car, Freestate should  have put Full Synthetic oil in the car instead of some other type of oil.  Freestate offered to do this after the fact, but again, they wanted to charge me  for this even though it was their mistake and they were the last people to work on my car before the engine started making noise.  Freestate  has good mechanics, but if a mistake is made, the company "WILL NOT" take responsibility for it, and they will look for even more ways to charge you more money  even though they ruined your car.  I took my car back thinking they would look at it for free.  Sandy the Service lady told me they would only charge me if       they had to take the oil pan off and look inside but she was just going to have her Mechanic wipe the oil off from under the car.  She didn't say anything  about charging me for that.  Yet, when I got there to pick the car up.  She charged me over $70 dollars, just to wipe under the car off.  Freestate Will rip you off and lie about what you've agreed to and what they said to you.  I went back and forth with this company for days and asked to speak to the manager (Charlie) several times but they told me he wasn't there all the time.  Finally Charlie calls me back days later and told me he would look into it and do research and get back with me that evening or first thing in the morning.  I haven't heard from him since.  It's been 5 days.  Don't waste your money or your time on this company or you'll regret it and be without a working vehicle after spending thousands of dollars like me.
Also I just had a mechanic come to my home and change my oil back to Full Synthetic.  He informed me that even though my Oil Pan is dented, it's not leaking oil.  What is leaking is the lower Gasket because Freestate put the seals on too tight.   This is something Freestate should have saw when I took the car back to them but they didn't mention it.  Which makes me think that maybe they dented the oil pan to make it look like I had a problem.   The mechanic that came to my house also told me that It would be impossible for a speed bump to damage my oil pan because of the frame I have under the car and the clearance the car has.   The last time I went to Freestate I spent $749.99 which was on 1-12-15.  The time before that was on 12-30-14 and I spend $1,869.86.   And now they insist my oil pan is leaking from a dent that I never caused and it needed to be replaced for a almost $800.00 more dollars.   It sounds like a Rip Off and a cover up to me.  I would never go back to this place and I advise everyone who value's their car, never to go here unless you want major problems.
Response from Freestate Auto & Truck Service
"Not true. We explained every step of way on what needed to be done. Mr [Member Name Removed] has been very unreasonable to work with. We have been in business since 1989 and we don't go and cause damage to anyone's car. We stand behind our work and warranty repairs 2 years, 24,000 miles. We can use BBB or AAA (if member) to settle all disputes. I will not be bullied and taken advantaged of. I am sorry that we could not help Mr [Member Name Removed] more. Charlie-owner"

My car had a vibration in the front end. They did a great job all the way around. I was greeted promptly and they immediately took my car back. They gave be what seemed to be a fair price and had the work done in a couple of hours. My car is now driving smooth again.
