W H Winegar & Son Plumbing and Heating

The Winegar company was very responsive to my Angie's List inquiry. They established an arrival time and came just when they said they would. As a matter of fact, I was at an appointment when they arrived (had hoped to be finished before) and they actually came back later in the day. The repairman was very prompt, thorough and quick with the repairs -- really appreciated them working with me on the scheduling as often when you miss your appointment window, you are out of luck with repairmen/technicians! Good job!

When I called them, they returned my call promptly. We set a time for an appraisal and the plumber arrived promptly and quickly assessed the problems. He gave me various options for handling the problem. I selected the option that seemed best and he promised to give me an estimate. The estimate came well within the amount I thought the job would cost. We set the date for the work. The workmen arrived promptly and began to work. The job was completed sufficiently by the end of the work day so that I could use the bathroom. On the following day one workman came in and finished the installation of the vanity and the calking around the fixtures. The work was neat and clean and the workmen removed all excess material and debris from the work area and the front of the house. Excellent job!

It went well. Jim was on time (he called ahead), put down a tarp to protect my floors, and proceeded to clear the line. I asked him how much time was left on the garbage disposal, and he honestly said they cannot exactly tell, but I should probably plan to replace it by next spring. He was very courteous and cleaned up once the work had been completed.

The interaction with the person that came was good. He went out of his way to do the investigation and find out what was wrong. I would hire them again. My only complaint is that most plumbers charge a lot. I?ve used them for a number of years, so I can?t compare their price, however.

We wanted to replace our old water heater with a new, energy-efficient one that would qualify for the new federal tax credit. Terry came out to the house to look over our old model to evaluate the changes that would have to be made in order to meet new codes. He gave us an estimate for both a traditional model and an energy-efficient one so that we could make an informed decision. Once we decided on the energy-efficient option, Terry kept in regular contact with us, setting up the delivery and installation dates and overseeing the work. The delivery man and installers arrived at the designated time, as promised, and the work was completed in a single day. Terry followed up with a visit to the completed job and arranged for the WSSC inspection, answering all of our questions courteously and completely. We are very pleased with Terry's attention to detail and will call Winegar for future plumbing jobs.

From start to finish, it was a pleasure having W.H. Winegar & Son do the job. I called in the morning and they were able to send someone in the afternoon, preventing me from having to take another day off from work. The technician introduced himself when he arrived - such professionalism! The soldering of the new pipe was so precise and beautifully done. I thought the cost was reasonable considering the repairs that were done and the time involved. A wonderful experience and I was a very happy customer. Would highly recommend them. When they learned I was a member of Angie's List, they gave me a discount!

It went great, overall. I awoke to find my basement flooded. It appeared that my exterior stairway drain had clogged and it was unclear whether the sump pump was operating normally. My regular plumber was unavailable, and recommended WH Winegar. Terry was extremely helpful and responsive. He was able to schedule an appointment for the same day and even called and came early when an another appointment finished up quicker than expected.

They came out the very next day and were able to get the new water heater in very quickly. They arrived promptly. They were courteous about being in my home and they didn't leave a mess. Also they were friendly and nice.

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT COMPANY. I USE THEM FOR BOTH PERSONAL AND BUSINESS JOBS. THEY PROVIDE GOOD SERVICE, ARE DEPENDABLE, AND TRUSTWORTHY. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO SEVERAL FRIENDS.

THEY GAVE ME A TIME-WINDOW FOR THE APPOINTMENT, BUT ALSO AGREED TO CALL ME 30 MINUTES BEFORE TO LET ME KNOW THEY WERE ON THE WAY. THIS ALLOWED ME TO GO OUT AND RUN ERRANDS CLOSE TO HOME WHICH WAS GREAT. THE COST INCLUDED OVERTIME, BECAUSE THE WORK WAS DONE ON A SATURDAY, BUT THEY WERE QUICK AND COURTEOUS, AND I WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.
