He was quick to respond to my initial telephone message, set up an appointment in two days, called before arrival and showed up right on time. Got right to work, identified the problem at once, tested if the motor would start with a little ether spray (it did) and was off to get the parts required to fix it. He returned in less than 10 minutes with the engine repaired and the receipt for the parts. He also gave me much needed instruction on how to start and store the engine, including the tricky part about reading the oil level. He was smart, courteous; and I felt the asked for charge of $40 total ($19 of which was parts) was appropriate and probably a great deal considering all the fuel for his truck to drive to my house, off to the store and back - quality personal service and instruction. He was a total professional, did great work quickly and was an overall nice guy. Could not recommend him more if you need a small engine up to a large riding mower's engine repaired.
Description of Work: He arrived promptly after calling me to set up an appointment. He immediately examined my gas powered tiller and identified the problem - a cracked and leaking primer bulb, and the fact that my air filter was missing. Then he took the motor, which was a detachable Ryobi 4 cycle engine, off to find the necessary parts at our local small town hardware store. He returned in less than 10 minutes with the primer bulb replaced with a new one and a new air filter installed (which appears to not have been included in my original purchase). He then proceeded to start the motor easilly and gave me a great deal of necessary instruction in the care, maintenance and especially how to store the engine over the winter months. All information which did not come with the instruction manual - and this was my first hand held device powered by gasoline instead of electricity, so his time spent with me explaining the ins and outs of the machine was invaluable.
