Phoenix Fence & Deck

The owner, Jeff Rogers, is very responsive. He gave us the estimate the day after we called the him and got the permit one day after we sign the contract. He is very easy to work with and provided professional recommendations to serve our needs. We had to postpone our starting time due to the delay of our shed delivery. He was very accommodating and patiently waited until we were ready. During our project, we made a couple of changes along the way, he met all of our requirements without hesitation. Most importantly, he built us a beautiful fense. We have received so many high remarks from our neighbors about our fense.

Our fence was mostly destroyed during the derecho in June. I called Jeff about an estimate on a new fence. He arrived on the date and time as promised. We walked around the property as he performed measurements and explained what exactly would be needed to install the new fence- moving woodpile, removing a small tree, clearing brush, removing an old chain link fence, etc. He provided an estimate that seemed fair and reasonable.

I was extremely impressed by Jeff Rogers--owner of Phoenix Fence and Deck--from the very first phone call asking for an estimate. He came out to our place the day after Thanksgiving and was wonderful to work with. After we agreed to hire his outfit to do the work, they came and installed the fence about a week later. They did first-rate work. We asked them to do a minor adjustment to the gate end of the fence, and Jeff's responsiveness to this request was what impressed us the most. Frankly, I can't remember anyone we've hired in the past 15 years who was as eager to ensure that we were 100% satisfied with the final product. I would HIGHLY recommend Jeff Rogers and Phoenix Fence to anyone who needs fence work done.

Gorgeously constructed and efficiently created. Scheduled to be completed the day Superstorm Sandy hit, finished the day after. Jeff came out several times without charge and was amazingly patient as I changed my mind several times as to the design and construction materials. Although not the cheapest option - it was in my opinion the best value for the available options. I highly recommend this company.

We could not have been more pleased with our experience with Phoenix Fence. The owner, Jeff Rogers, made numerous visits to our home as we worked through various layouts. He accompanied us to the County planning office, worked patiently with our neighbors to make sure they were comfortable with the property line demarcations, met our rushed timetable to get the fence in by Thanksgiving, and supervised its installation. Jeff was always available to speak with us and could not have been more professional and accommodating.

Jeff, the owner, was very punctual and professional when providing the estimate. There was no pressure to use his company when the estimate was provided and the work was accomplished within 4 days of my decision (a very quick turn around given the time of year).

Phoenix was a great company to do business with. The gentleman that have us the initial estimate was punctual, thorough, and polite. He followed up after the initial meeting and provided additional information that I had not asked about initially. The day I'd installation, the crew (along with the Roscoe (who gave us the estimate) arrived at the promises time and were great. They were polite and got to work. One neighbor had concerns (unfounded) about the property line and called the office. The owner then came to the house to make sure that the measurements were correct - which they were! The fence looks great, crew was professional and did a great hub, owner was responsive and Roscoe was terrific PLUS it was a fair price (lowest bid of 4).

Phoenix Fence came out and did an estimate very quickly. The estimate was a decent price and I really likes the guy who gave the estimate. He was an owner or a higher up in the company and he was very helpful. Then scheduling of the actual fence removal and building was fine but then the day came that it was scheduled for. I was given an estimate of around 8-10am, but they were late by at least 2 hours. So they removed the fence and put up a new one fine. Unfortunately the sticks were not removed as was promised. Also over the next week, I found 2 old pieces of fence wood that had nails in them. Just laying the yard. I did not have a terrible time with this company but I do not think I would use them again.

They came and installed it. They got all of the permits they needed and installed it very effectively and nicely. No hassles or anything.

To begin, Jeff Rogers, the owner, came out and did an initial estimate of the job - he was a pleaseure to work with from the beginning. He was prompt in returning phone calls, and very friendly and funny on the phone and in person. He was a good listener and really paid attention to what I wanted - as well as gave his expert opinion while still allowing me to make the final decision. He has wonderful customer service. He walked the whole area we wanted to have fenced and took careful measurements and pointed out areas that might be troublesome and what his plan would be. Then once the survey was done we immediately sat down and talked about options and he wrote up an estimate for me. He was patient, honest, and not at all pushy. We had to have him come out for another estimate after we had a slight change to our plans after one connecting neighbor put up new fencing the day after he had come out (what an odd coincidence!) and our other neighbor wanted to add on a little extra to the job - So Jeff came back out on a Saturday with no complaints. We booked the job, and a week later they called to schedule the job. They showed up first thing in the morning with two big trucks and a large crew of very friendly and professional guys. They were all very considerate and even offered to clear out some branches that had fallen in our yard during a previous storm, while they were clearing out the fence. They worked straight through the day - made sure they got feedback from us on any placement of posts or gates before they did the work. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of work they did. The fence is absolutely gorgeous and they did an amazing job of carefully navigating an existing retaining wall and a tree that was in their path. I can't believe they did all the work they did, as quickly as they did, and with such careful precision. I wouldn't hesitate to call Jeff and his crew to come out and do any other fencing or deck work. It's so nice to see people take such pride in their work, and have such respect for their customers. I feel like we really lucked out with Phoenix Fence, and I hope they get lots of jobs in our neighborhood.

Awesome!!! There was a lot of damage in the local area due to the storm. Despite that fact, Jeff Rogers was very responsive and had someone out the next day. The fence was standing back up by the time I was home from work. This exceeded my expectations. Great job!

Representative arrived as scheduled, provided written estimate. When accepted representative arranged to expedite repair given legal requirement to have pool area fenced. Chain link fence replacement was for over 35' of chain link fence around back end of pool. Work completed speedily, destroyed fencing removed and work site was clear of any post work debris. Replacement performed on tall wooden fence done as promptly, neatly and work site left as clean and orderly as possible. All of the above happened without my being there to request any service or quality of service.

We were very pleased with them. They were very responsive and very competent. We had a slightly difficult situation but they were very cooperative in dealing with it and they handled it very well. They came when they said they would come and they were very prompt. They did what they said they were going to do and were professional doing it. We are very happy with their work.

The company was very responsive and came out within one day, leaving a clear, written estimate for me. They also offered a 10% discount for Angie's List customers, which reduced my total cost by nearly $85 (original estimate was $832; with coupon the cost was $748.80). The owner, Rosco Lockhart, mailed me a "thank you" note the following day for giving him a chance to bid on the job. The workmen arrived only a few days after I accepted the contract. There was a mix-up regarding the type of wood I ordered; I had specified pressure-treated pine, but the workmen only had cedar in their truck. A quick phone call to Mr. Lockhart resolved the problem and the workmen said they would return within a day or two with the pressure treated pine. They actually came back later the same day and completed the job within a few hours. I was very satisfied with the work and, although the cost was more than I wanted to spend on the storm-damaged fence, it was in line with other estimates and the 10% Angie's List discount was an important factor in my choosing Phoenix. I would hire this company again.

They did a good job. I would recommend them.

It turned out very good. I was happy with everything they did. They did everything they said they were going to do. They were on time and worked quickly. I recommended them to my family.

Jeff and his team did a great job. Besides having a competitive price compared to the two other companies I called, he was available sooner, was the most knowledgable and handled unforseen conditions. I had a large amount of tree overhang and brush from blocking the fence route as well as a little concrete. The other fence companies told me I needed to hire a landscaper first to clear the way for them. Jeff removed the brush and the concrete and hauled it away at no additional charge. The two fences look great. I highly recommend Phoenix Fence.

This was a really great experience from start to finish. Jeff took the time to talk with us during the estimate, answer all our questions, discuss our options, pros/cons, etc. He was easy to reach and work with while we were ironing out the details prior to the start of the job. He quoted us what seemed like an impossibly short length of time to complete such a large job, and then his team met it easily. They took care of everything they needed to do to set up the fence, including moving a sizable wood pile. The quality and construction of the fence is great. Sturdy, solid, no gaps, not a warped board in sight. They artfully routed it around trees where they had to, and did an excellent job running the fence up and down hills. The yard was left in great shape, too; I was expecting some nails or building materials to be left behind, but they cleaned up just about everything. I'd highly, highly recommend Phoenix if you're looking for a fence. This was one of the best service experiences I've ever had. It seems rare to arrange for something and have it go perfectly, but this did - for something as complicated, expensive, and potentially stressful as a large fence project, that's priceless. The work was good. He was prompt and pleasant to work with. The work was done on-time and he guaranteed his it. We would recommend him to others. He did give us a discount for being an Angie's List member.

Work went very well. His 3 man crew worked most of the day and got the job done. Really appreciate his fast turn-around service. One caveat: at about $22 per square foot for the fence, I don't kno if the price is reasonable or not. I wish I had on hand or received from Mr. Rodgers something to compare prices for his work. I would strongly ecommend his firm again but I hope he provides a comparsion price list so that the customer is confident that the price is consistent with other firm's or his own customers' prices.

Jeff Roger, the owner, came to estimate the cost at the end of April. As I had specific requirements he was able to design the necessary flower box and rapidly determine the fencing costs. $620 deposit sealed the deal. The construction day was delayed until June 13 due to the approval required from my Condo Board and the necessary County permit. On the day of installation Jeff and his crew turned up at 10:00 am and had everything built by 4:00 pm. Exactly as agreed upon and with easy-to-use lockable gate hardware. I couldn't be happier!

The service provided was excellent and more reasonably priced than another company

Jeff came out at the appointed time and gave recommendations and an estimate for replacing the split rail fence. The fence was completed in late May--looks great, and they were very professional; cleaned up and hauled all the old fence away. We spoke with him about a couple of other projects we had in mind, and he researched these and gave us some ideas.We did not need to replace our deck, but the railing and steps around it were rotten and needed replacing. Jeff listened to what we wanted, met with us at the hardware store to show us options for what products we might want to use, then spent time checking out the existing rail and steps so he could figure out the best way to repair it. We felt like he really knew what he was doing, and he wanted to make sure it was done right. Once we agreed upon it, he and his workers showed up at the appointed time and finished the job quickly. They cleaned everything up very well.In addition--we had a few smaller jobs (welding a chain fence in several places) and he took care of those as well.

First, I advise you to look no further. Get your 3 bids if you must, but pick Jeff in the end. He will meet all reasonable quotes. I wish all contractors were as excellent as Jeff. He is honest, direct, fair...a real gem! Jeff is immediately responsive to every phone call and both he and his crew were punctual. They performed the entire job in one day, but took great care to do the job well. Jeff walked me around the fence afterward so that I could see and appreciate the fine details of the work. I am glad that he did. I would not have noticed the care that was taken to ensure all the mesh joined to my neighbors fences and reached the ground; that the hardware on the gates was of such high quality. To be honest, initially I wasn't thrilled about having to spend money on a replacement for something that already existed. But I love my fence! It enhances the property now and I have received so many compliments from neighbors.
