I will NEVER puchase any furnitures from there again.
Description of Work: I purchased furnitures from the store based on the ad. However, the deliver guys refused to take some furnitures I purchased into my house because they said my stairs are narrow, and the deliver guys recommended me to refund those furnitures. When I went back to the store, they refused to refund the furnitures even the deliver guys took the furnitures back to the storage room.

Description of Work: Buyer BEWARE. Their business practices are the worst I have ever encountered. I initially liked some furniture, was getting ready to have it delivered and changed my mind. They informed me I could not return the furniture for a credit. They ended up charging me through the credit company they use my attempts to fight through the MD BBB and the MD Attorney General's Office did not produce any results. Next stop file a lawsuit in small claims court.

Very dishonest company. Will never set foot in one of their stores again.
Description of Work: Very dishonest company. You will see a 180 degree change in their attitude the second they get your money. I was promised a delivery date and time as I was only able to take a certain block of time off. The day before delivery, they called and said it would be a completely different time. I complained but they said to call the store. I called the store and the manager there was very disrespectful to the pint where he was calling me a liar. I tried to return it but he wouldn't let me. Finally, my wife was able to take off time and accept the delivery.

Furniture broken. Telephoned Warranty Department to report the item. Regency is not honoring the 5 year warranty they sold me at the time of purchase. Many calls to the company only resulted in the company asking me to pay a technician to come out to take a look before they can make a decision to repair. Is it legal to sell warranties to customers and not come out to repair damage reported.?
Description of Work: At the time of sale, I purchased a 5 year protection plan. Telephoned many times to make a claim that their is a piece of wood hanging from the furniture. I was asked to take and photo and send it in. I sent in photo, proof of purchase, copy of actual sales receipt and copy of warranty purchased. To date the Company will not honor the warranty. Last conversation left me speechless. They asked me to pay their technician to come out to take a look. The protection plan did not indicate that I was responsible for making the claim and paying them to come out and look it over. The Protection plan cost me $105.00 and that expense should cover the plan as it is written. I found the service staff insulting and very uncooperative. They are not honoring the protection plan that they sold me at the time of purchase.

The warranty did come in the mail on October 26; it included a message to keep the Protection Plan for my records. I studied this warranty and it does cover damage beyond the original manufacturer’s warranty. I went to the address listed on the warranty. It is the same location and number I have been calling all along. I was greeted by a young woman who took one look at the warranty papers and said we don’t do business with that company anymore. I asked if I can talk with someone in the warranty department. I was told that I cannot walk in but should call in the claim at the 800 number. A receptionist asked to look at the paperwork and she said; so what’s wrong? I told her and had pictures. She said it does not cover that. I did not want to go on with the conversation so she called Shannon in the warranty department. She turns to me and said your manufacturer’s warranty has expired. I now see you have an extended 5 year warranty so you may email your pictures to Shannon and she will get back with you. I sent an email with pictures attached to pictures7900@gmail.com. (Attention Shannon Henson.) I called again on Saturday evening November 3th to speak with Shannon, Sherrie says she is not in and that she feels that Shannon has the information and will get back to me. My problem is how I know I am not talking to Shannon all along. The staff does not act like they know what a 5 year warranty plan is. One employee suggested that I under the section that applies and show it to her. Mid Atlantic Protection Plan is not honoring the warranty that they sold me.
Description of Work: I called the furniture outlet and spoke to someone named Jackie. I explained that a slat (piece of wood) is hanging underneath the sofa. I gave the young lady my contract numbers 14808 and 15033. She listened and then said that is not covered under your warranty. I called again around October 18th, 2012 to describe the damage and asked to talk with the manager. I was told that the manager is not available at this time and they will mail to me a copy of the warranty to review for myself.

The damage to the member’s sofa cannot be determined to be consumer damage or a manufacturer defect. We have informed her it would require a service fee for the technician to inspect the sofa. She is still deciding.

The worst furniture buying experience my wife and I ever been through. In may we purchased lamps, recliners, and tables. Was told delivery would be free. Ended up taking the lamps with us that day and expected delivery of remaining items two weeks later. A few days later we received a phone call stating a back order on tables would delay the delivery for an additional month. The wife and I decided we really needed the recliners and asked if they could remove the tables ($186.00) from the purchase. We were told that removing the tables from the purchase ticket would remove the free shipping and we would have to pay $180.00. We ended up borrowing a friends truck and picking up the chairs from the warehouse ourselves. Of course one of the boxes was mislabeled and we received the wrong chair. We borrowed a truck the second time to return to the warehouse and exchange it for the correct one (we had them open the box onsite this time). It is now mid August and we just got word from Regency that the tables have been pushed back again until the end of September. 5 months after we purchased them. The most unprofessional, unconcerned group of people I've ever dealt with. I'll will send the extra money at higher end stores from now on if it will mean a better experience.
Description of Work: Delivery of furniture was expected.

When I purchased the suit I was told that delivery would only be $50.00. At that point I put a $400 dollar deposit down and came back later to pay the rest. When I came back to pay the remainder I was told that delivery would cost $139.00. I attempted to get to the bottom of the issue by speaking with the manager who was not helpful at all. The sales representative who originally quoted me the $50.00 rate even came over and backed up that the price he quoted. The manager said that their sales reps will sometimes run a delivery service on the side which is probably what he was doing, although the sales rep never said was the case. After this I asked to speak with someone higher up and they sent someone over, who refused to tell me his title. This individual was very rude to me, to the point that I asked for the corporate phone number. I called the corporate number and they never returned my phone calls. I finally just decided to go pay for the delivery after about a month but when I went to the store they informed me they no longer had the bedroom suite in stock. They gave me a number to call corporate again and who finally returned my calls after two weeks. They said they had listened to my complaint and they would call me back the next day. They called and said I could get part of the money that I paid then rest on the st of October. They did not offer me any other choice like picking out another bedroom suit. I would like to know why they treat their customers like this? I have heard from others who have had trouble with them also.
Description of Work: I purchased a bedroom suite for my mother from this company.

We bought a couch here and we were notified when the couch was available for pickup. Unfortunately, the representative who called us failed to inform us that the store was currently doing inventory. My wife and I arrived at the store during the pick up hours stated in the message, with a trailer, and the store was unable to give us the couch. The office manager acknowledged the mis-communication, but offered nothing to reconcile the situation. We asked them to deliver the couch to our house at a later date, but the office manager said that delivery was not possible. When we asked to return the couch, the store wanted to charge a restocking fee. Update: I was able to get the couch and chase lounge to my home today. There are no legs for the case lounge and there are no holes in the bottoms of either the couch or chase lounge. It is a 2-3 week wait for the legs of the furniture. And Regency Furniture asked us to bring the furniture back to the store in order to drill holes for the legs.
Description of Work: We bought new furniture for our home.
