Brothers Sew & Vac

I HIGHLY recommend Brothers Sew and Vac, in all its locations, as it is a family business in the 2nd or 3rd generation run by the nicest, most professional owners - I have bought applicances and replacement filters from them in Bethesda dn also Rockville for years and both brothers are excellent salesmen - I just worked with Paul in Bethesda and was totally impressed with how courteous, knowledgeabe, professional and helpful he was - he went out of his way to make my order go easily, saved me some charges, and got my items to me super quickly. You can tell he is just a really really nice and honest person, as are the other employees I have encoutered at Brothers. They sell the best products/brands and their "positive, can-do, the customer is always right" attitude is SO REFRESHING - I would never go to another store but this for what they offer. I feel in good hands with them and know i can trust them.

This guy was so, so, so nice.  Explained the problem so I didn't feel stupid.  Explained the fix.  Told me the price.  Discounted the price.  Fixed it while I waited.  Changed the bag and filters - for FREE.  And carried the vacuum to my car.  Honestly, I don't think I have ever felt like I had been in such competent, pleasant hands.  This guy was really great.  I'd go back and I'd buy my next vacuum from him.

Very well. I bought my vacuum cleaner from them many years ago and I go their for occasional servicing and to buy replacement bags.

Took the vacuum hose to the store for repair. I had purchased it there 2 years ago. The store rep said they would attempt to fix it in store if possible. I left it and got a call a day or so later that it was ready for pick up. Fixing it in store saved me money as opposed to if they had to send it back to the manufacturer. Note: it was not a just a simple repair because the hose tear was near a mechanical device. I was very pleased.

After many hours of research, I still had questions about which vacuum was best. Some members of my household had pretty bad allergies, so I needed one that would be able to keep the air quality good. The gentleman who helped me was incredibly helpful. He was an expert on the subject of vacuum cleaner of all makes and models. Not only do they sell vacuums, but they repair them so they really know what works and what doesn't. They have been in business on Connecticut Ave. for 50 years, and I found out why. They really do give the customer what they need. I was expecting the salesman to try to upsell me a more expensive model, but in reality, I was talked out of the model I had in mind and sold the less expensive model because I didn't need everything that came with the other vacuum (because I have hardwood floors and the other vacuum was good for hardwood and thick carpets). Honestly, shops like these are a dying breed. You will not have an excellent buying experience like this online.
