Great experience from the first sales pitch to the final walk-thru. The salesmen were knowledgeable, responsive, and pitched their product without pressuring us. The pricing was competitive. The installers did a great job cleaning up each day, answered our questions, and finished within the timeframe estimated.

Call before you buy any deals from this company! I had to wait three and half weeks before I could schedule an appointment. If I had known this before I purchased the service, I would have chosen another company--even one with a lesser grade.
Other than having to wait almost a month, the service was fine. The employee showed up on time, was professional, and the person with whom I spoke on the phone was very nice.

I thought that the technician was very professional and skilled, but what he told me and put in writing what was wrong with my central AC did not seem to make sense given that I bought the house less than a year ago, I had a home inspection at the time, the seller had the system checked and maintenance performed immediately prior to my closing, and I had just turned the AC on.  According to him, the coils were 75% clogged and the condensate pump was broken, and total repairs and cleaning would cost about $500-$600; he gave me the name of another company that he said did warranty work and that he said I should ask for.  The entire system is only about 4-5 years old, so fairly new, and it was freezing up.  I sent that diagnosis to the home warrantly company, and they denied my claim over the phone because that level of coil clogging had to be "my fault."  I called another HVAC company on Angie's List to look at it, and that technician said the coils were perfectly clean, the condensate pump was working, but not great, and it could go at any time or could last another year, but that wouldn't cause the problem I was having--the real problem that was causing the freezing up was probably due to the flexible ductwork the previous owner put in to raise the clearance of the basement ceiling.  That ductwork had been compromised by the electrican who replaced my panel a few weeks before. He also said that the company the technician had recommended, which is not on Angie's List, was "shady." Consequently, I got very bad information from Sila, and I would not use them again for fear that I would get the same technician.

The initial service call went great and the technician explained all our options.  We decided to get an estimate on a new conditioner.  The salesman (John Trancucci) was also very good and gave us all the information to determine the best choice for us.  The installers came on 7/26 and spent the day replacing our old conditioner with a new Lennox.  At the end of the day, all seemed to be working.  However, later that evening the cooling stopped.  Since it was then the weekend, we waited to call until Sunday (our mistake as they said they would have returned immediately).  They were able to find the problem and correct it and all seems well now.    They were always very prompt, professional, and pleasant.  It was a positive experience working with this company. 

I was very pleased with Sila and while I didn't need the A/C tune up with the type of unit I have, I do plan to use them for other HVAC services in the future. Scheduling was easy thanks to having a website I could do it from. They called to confirm and they showed up on time.

We were able to scheduled the appointment of the same day we called.  The serviceman showed up on time and was very personable.  He assess our heating and thermostat and told us that they were working properly.  We also asked for and received an estimate fora humidified.  Our overall experience was excellent.

The staff was a pleasure to work with. They did not complain or argue with us to change the design. I was very pleased on how fast they were able to make the changes. They were delightful about everything.

The provider showed up on time, and was very professional.  He performed the tune-up and cleaned off my unit on the outside, I noticed that it ran more smoothly afterwards. 

Excellent job. I work at home so was home during the install. The crew was professional and courteous. They installed the high velocity tubes and vents with no damage to my walls or floors. It's a 90 year old Craftsman home with plaster walls so that is not easy. They did additional things like disconnect and remove a central AC fan unit in the basement at no additional charge.
They organized my attic after the unit was installed so everything was completely back to normal.
Everyday they were on time and worked long days to finish the job in just 4 days. When they would leave they would clean everything up including materials that were outside. The AC system is excellent. 
This is one of the best companies I have ever worked with. Highly recommended.

HVAC technician arrived on time and within 30-40 minutes was able to determine that my A/C had stopped working due to a leak.  The technician was also able to pinpoint the leak and succinctly provide the steps needed for repair and an estimate.

Appointment was easy to make.  Serviceman arrived on early side of the appointment window (a plus).  He was efficient, professional, personable.  No attempt to sell additional services.  Responded to all questions.

I contacted Sila after a search here on the list and am very glad I did. I have had two other companies come in to check on the system and the Sila tech was the only one who thought to check the electrical breaker panel, which turned out to be the root cause of our heat pump failure (the switch had somehow been knocked out of its anchor point on the panel which shut that circuit down). They also accurately identified the age of our system (which, to their credit, the two other technicians estimated accurately as well). However, in addition to looking at the breaker panel, the Sila tech also showed me some details about the compressor unit to check to ensure it was funtioning properly, which the other two technicians didn't. The upshot is, as our unit is nearing the end of its useful life anyway, we'll be replacing it as soon as we've set the money aside, and when we do Sila is at the top of our provider list. I'm *very* impressed with the service and knowledge displayed.

Got an appointment the same day for a two hour window. Technician showed up early after calling to confirm. Quick diagnosis, good explanation, and fixed the problem correctly.

Rich from Sila came to our home to provide a free estimate for a central unit (A/C) in our home. Rich was on time and very professional. He left with details needed and said we'd receive an estimate after the 4th of July holiday weekend.
I had to call twice just to get the original meeting for the estimate set up, and I've called and emailed to see about the actual numbers and have gotten absolutely no response.
Based on this I would certainly not feel comfortable with Sila completing work.

Went well.  The tune up was done fast and professionally.

He came out and said you have a strong air flow to the lower registers and a very faint flow to the upper registers.  I spoke with him Friday and he said he couldn't fix it but would report it and I would hear back from them on Monday.  I never received a call Monday. So I called them and left a message and didn't receive a call back until Wednesday. When I called to request the service I told them what I was experiencing and they said that it doesn't sound like you have a problem we can't just come out to inspect your air conditioner. I talked to them on the phone and they said that they would send someone out to give us an estimate and I told them that they had already come out to give an estimate.  I ended up calling another company and they came out and fixed the problem right away.

Was serviced by Joey from Sila Heating. Very professional, knowledgeable and efficient young man. Answered all of my questions, knew his job well, made recommendations about what I needed to do additionally, no hard sell on any additional services. Will continue to use Sila for all of my furnace needs!

Sila specializes in installing mini-ducts to get air into places that we hadn't been able to before. The did everything exactly as promised and got everything done in time. There was one small problem and they came back right away and got it fixed. They were not the cheapest of the service providers that we had looked into, but because they specialize in the high-velocity ducts, we went with them. They even provided us with references to call and check, so that made the decision easier. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

The staff at Sila are very professional. They were up front, punctual and friendly. They came to my house diagnosed my problem and gave me a price for two different options. The installation was on a very heavy rain day. They did not cancel and were very careful not to track water inside my house. Everything went according to schedule and I am enjoying my new air system. I even got a discount for using Angie's List.
