Chuck showed up on time.  Introduced himself and had no problem wearing show covers.  He performed the service excellently.  He mentioned that when the yard is cut that clipping should not go onto the condenser lines and cleaned off my lines voluntarily.  He entered the serial numbers of the units on the receipt, mentioned the service agreement that they offer.  He also gave me a history lesson on ac, heat pumps and how long they last.

I called into the number included on the deal the same day that I purchased the offer and was able to schedule the appointment for the same week. On the day of service, the technician, Oscar arrived promptly at the schedule appointment time of 8AM. I accompanied Oscar as he conducted the inspection so that I could ask questions as he worked. Oscar was fantastic! He patiently answered all of my questions and was very helpful in explaining the work and why the different parts of the tune up were important for system maintenance. During the internal review, Oscar noticed that my water heater was in urgent need of replacement. As he pointed out, the entire bottom area of the water heater was corroded with visible sediment built up on various parts of the unit. I decided that I wanted to replace the unit as quickly as possible and Oscar assisted in getting a follow up appointment scheduled for early the following week.

They charge 98 dollars to get an estimate.

My experience with him was very good.  He was here on time.  He gave me a window between one and three and was here close to one.  He explained everything that he was doing.  He was pretty good compared to other services that I have had from other companies.

. I called the after hours emergency line and instead of getting a voice mail or answering service, I got Joey who offered to come over as soon as he finished dinner. He arrived in about an hour as he said he would and quickly diagnosed the problem. He offered to rig the motor to stay on continuously so we could have AC until the part came in. Heck yea! He suggested that I could save money by (them) purchasing a universal control board. Good suggestion as it saved me about $150. The part came in about  a week later, Joey fit me in at 6:30 AM   and voila, in an hour  everything was up and running normally. I was pleased with the service given how busy this firm was. Joey was polite, cleaned up and was very professional. I gave the firm a "B" for price because I shopped control boards around on the internet when I considered doing the repair myself, and they cost about $125-$200 so the labor, overhead and profit were around $350. Not terrible but not inexpensive either. I called another shop to get a price and they were more expensive. I'd use Sila again given the level of service I received.

The provider was suppose to perform routine maintenance for my airconditioner.   Well, what was supposed to be routine maintenance ended up being, "so called" various problems!!   This guy was saying that the airconditioner was old (bought it 4 years ago) and it would be better to replace the airconditioner and the furnance so it wouldn't cost a lot in the future.  I wanted to show if the door but I have a new born......  I'll never use them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The service went wonderfully. My tenant, who's unit was involved, was extremely happy. I think they owe me a little bit of a refund but I haven't looked into that just yet. The unit was top of the line. They did a really good job. They're going to be my service provider for both my heat pump air conditioners.

It was the time of year when the furnace needed to be checked out before the really cold weather arrived, so I took advantage of the special coupon Sila Heating and Air Conditioning was offering on Angie's List.  They had very good ratings and that was impressive.
Joey was professional and efficient.  
I liked them well enough to call them again January 28 2013 to check out my humidifier.  I would certainly recommend Sila in the future.

Sila was great from start to finish... Always friendly, looking to find solutions, straight-forward and punctual.
I should start by explaining, that 4 months earlier we had contacted two of the larger HVAC companies in the Metro area, and received terrible customer service -  one was a no show and the other only wanted to sell us a new unit (our existing unit is only 7 years old).  When we pressured them to give us a price to move the existing one, it was $2400.  That seemed a little high. 
So we looked on Angie's List and found Sila.  We told them about our dilemma... the A/C unit was using a piece of the back yard where my wife really wanted a garden shed.  So we wanted to move the unit to the side of the house.  Rich Kelly(Sila) came by a week after we called and walked us through the process of moving the unit.  Also explained, the timeline of moving it.. we might have to wait 3 weeks, since they were now in the middle of "busy season".  The price quote was $1700... seemed very fair, so we agree. 
About a week later, Rich calls and says he has an opening in two days (Monday)... Neither I or my wife were available to meet the crew at the house, so Rich said he would stop by and P/U keys, if it was OK with us...  That Monday, I came home to an Air Conditioned house and the unit was right were we wanted it.  The crew was very nice, professional and insured the unit was working properly before they left.   
This was a great company to work with...  wouldn't think of using another Heating or Air Conditioning company now.

Sila's technician, Joey, was punctual, careful, clean,  and informative.  I showed him my inside mechanicals and then my outside mechanicals.  My heat pump is about 15 years old.  He did not find a leak for R-22.  That particular coolant is going to be phased out in 2020, so I will eventually need to replace my system, but not yet.  Many companies will try to sell you the coolant because it is very expensive to replace.  Joey said I didn't need to add any.
He was honest and didn't try to do a major sell job on me of getting a new system even though my system is older and will eventually need to be updated.  I appreciated his honesty.
I was very pleased with Sila Heating and Air Conditioning and would recommend them to my friends and family.

Having called as a new customer in high season, we had a wait some for our appointment, but once the technician was here, things went very smoothly, professionally and amicably. Our guy Joey was personable and patient in explaining what needed doing, the bill was clear and transparent and within our expectations. We signed on for Sila's annual servicing plan.

I purchase the Sila A/C Tune Up package from Angie's List and I'm glad I did.  I called immediately after purchasing the package and got an appoint.  The technician, Oscar, who came out was great!  Our appointment was an 8 am and he arrive promptly.  He was extremely through and explained everything he was doing/testing.  I would highly Sila and Oscar for anyone who needs HVAC work.

This is the best HVAC company we've ever had, by far.  From the girl answering the phone to the Service Tech (Oscar) sent to our home, they were very courteous, prompt, and professional.  Oscar was just great.  Came to our home three different times.  The first time was to do the annual maintenance check.  Arrived right on time.  The next two times, he arrived early.  Our orig. condensation pump was incredibly noisy, so he took the time to research and order a couple of quieter pumps to see which one might work best in our situation.  Very knowledgeable.  Definitely a problem solver.  No hard sell or attempt to talk us into something we didn't need.  Fair and dependable.  Would absolutely use this company again and have already given their number to three neighbors.

Fantastic! Oscar the technician was very through and answered all of my questions.  He was very polite and wore boot covers to protect my floor.

The technician checked and cleaned the outside unit and flush the inside unit and refill the Freon which was low . Also showed me how to adjust the dampers which was very helpful.

Joey was my technician. He was outstanding. He showed up early for my appointment. He explained every aspect of the service he was performing it. He encouraged me to look over his shoulder while he worked. He was very detail oriented. He even gave me a $30 discount for being an Angielist member. I could not have asked for a better service call. I would definitely use Sila again and recommend their services to others.

They did a great job with the installation; especially the installation guy that came out was immaculate.  They kept it clean and I couldn’t have been happier with them.

Sila rep promptly showed for estimate to replace system.  Gave estimate on the spot which was lower than other estimate obtained.  The system is in rental house and tenant with 2 small children was going to have to move out because of heat.  Sila promised installation in about a week.  Sila offer to get window units for temporary relief, but then decided to install system on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, 5 days before their offer proposed installation.  Everything was professionally done.  Great service!!!

The technician, Oscar, was on time and very professional. I purchased a home 18 months ago and this was my first time having the AC serviced -- which means that I had a lot of questions. Oscar patiently answered ALL of my questions and walked me thru the basics of how the system works inside and out.
I highly recommend Silas. This is my second time using Silas and I love the fact that they have their techs put on those shoe covers, which I really think are unnecessary but the attention to detail is impressive. I have had two great experiences with their techs and will definitely be using them in the future!
