We got on their schedule for the inspection, which was easy to set up, but the guy was pretty late in showing up. He did call to say he was going to be late, but it was still a little frustrating. However, once he got here, we were quite pleased. He swept the entire chimney and installed a rain cap, and inspected the rest of the chimney. He took pictures up the interior from inside, and from the top of the chimney too. Unfortunately, the chimney was in pretty bad shape. The lining was cracked in several places, and the top 8-10 flights of bricks on the top of the chimney had very little mortar left around them, and were starting to seriously crack. The guy gave us a quote for what it would cost to reparge the interior of the fireplace (to fix the lining) and do the top 10 flights of bricks. We called a day later to arrange them to do the work. They e-mailed us the contract, which we filled out, scanned, and e-mailed back. They came out the next day while we were at work and did the masonry work on the top of the chimney, which looks quite good (the bricks match exactly). They came out that weekend to do the reparging. They were on time for that, and it took about an hour to do. The guys took photos before and after so you could clearly see the work they had completed. The only issue we had with them was that we authorized them to charge the deposit to our credit card, but didn't authorize them to charge the balance. However, they did charge the balance to that credit card once the masonry was done, but the reparging wasn't done. I called their office and got what I think was a sincere apology for the mistake. At any rate, we were happy with their work, so it didn't become a bigger issue.

They came on time, did good work, and cleaned up afterward. Their cost was lower than others that bid.

Company got rid of all the original terra cotta liner and then put in a new metal one. Very good customer service- I was freaking out because of the noise and the woman on the phone talked me all the cliff : ) Everybody was very nice and the chimney works! They also delivered firewood for a very decent price. I wouldn't use another chimney sweep.

I have been very pleased with the quality of the work done. The masonry work for the chimney and all the repairs were excellent. I was so pleased with the work of the master carpenter, Hugo Terrazas, that I have continued to have the company do extensive repairs and remodeling work both inside and outside my home.

It went smoothly and well. They did what they said they would, when they said they would, cleaned up after themselves. It was great.

They came to figure out why I had a leak in my living room above the mantel. They said I needed to do a chimney rebuild above the roof line. They took pictures, but the pictures were never sent to me and never included in their proposal. They said the chimney repair would cost me 3,300 and an extra 2,000 for a stainless steel chimney liner. I ended up getting another company to do the same work for more than half off this quote. They never called me back when I had questions regarding their proposal. I am not sure I would do business with this company in the future.

We had a positive experience. My wife was there when Priddy Clean showed up. She said everything went well. Afterwards, we received a letter proposing to do additional work on the chimney cap. It'd cost over $600 which is a bit more than I can spend at the moment. Still, I liked our experience and trust Priddy Clean.

Called and set an appt. They gave me a window for a Saturday. They never showed up during the alloted time. I had to leave the house to run errands, when I got back, they left a note saying to call the office to re-schedule. A phone call would have sufficed.

Installed a chimney cap and also fixed a crumbling crown at the top of the chimney. Very friendly. They were a little later than the time scheduled for arrival, but no complaints otherwise. I appreciate the good work.

I use Priddy Clean Chimney Sweep Inc a lot. They used to clean chimneys in my old house too. Once I had scheduled them to clean all 3 chimneys in my current house. They came out and after looking said that the chimneys were all in perfect condition where they did not need any cleaning. They just charged me just the inspection fee. It was really impressive. They are honest. I have been using them for more than 10 years.

Technician arrived promptly at the beginning of time window, was quiet, respectful, efficient and completed the sweep as expected. He was not, however, able to remove a flue component and didn't offer to try, however was quite thorough in the inspection and offered advice for individual components of the estimate. He did not, however, honor a coupon I printed online, however took it so perhaps they will credit us in future services. The esimate for repair work, however, seemed EXTREMELY high. BOTTOM LINE: Efficient, thorough, relatively expensive, however easy to work with.

Initially the work went well. We were told that the work would take a week or two depending on availability (this was in September 2010). The fireboxes were re-built early on along with dismantling our old flue and installing the liner. However, all of this still took until late November. Rebuilding the chimney (something we did not anticipate) and completing the remainder of the more cosmetic work (installing the mantle, laying the hearth, tighterning the damper pulls) was a nightmare. This has now be in the process of going on for over three months (six months since we began the process) and appears as if it will end this week. I like the people at Priddy and I think that their work was sufficient, but considering the amount of money that they charge, it is inconceivable that they would let something go on for so long. There were at least six or seven situations that I can think of where I was told they would come by the house only to have no one show up, call to tell me otherwise, etc. In addition, there were at least another five or six times where they did not show but at least told me that day. I understand that their workload picked up during the winter months but that is certainly no excuse for ignoring ongoing work. I haven't had tons of experience with contractors and Priddy came highly recommended by a friend. If I were more knowledgable I'm sure that I would have just backed out of this contract back in November, so the best I can do is simply post that I would never consider using them again and will adamantly tell any friends to not use them. Again, I like them, I like their work, but as a business this was the worst experience I've had so far.

We got several estimates for the service. Priddy Clean came out on the higher end, but they came so highly recommended by Angie's List, we decided to go with them. They were very pleasant. They started the work on a Saturday and stayed most of the day. They cleaned up and were very nice. It started to go off course after this. We knew they had at least another day of work in order to complete their job. Since they started on Saturday, we assumed they would not come Sunday. The following week brought inclement weather. We did not hear from them at all. I called them the following Monday to follow-up. The gentleman who answered my call apologized and we scheduled another day for their guys to come over and finish up. My father waited at the house for their men to show up (this was the day they were supposed to finish). They did part of the work, left for lunch and did not come back! I called them back the next day, again got apologies. They told me that their guys would come when it was convenient for us. Since my husband and I both work, I scheduled them for an evening (after 5pm). On that day, I got a call at work at approximately 3pm and they said that they were on their way! I reminded them of the time we agreed upon. Later that evening, they showed up and finished their job. Overall, the work itself was very good. For the money we paid, however, I didn't appreciate slipping through the cracks.

We used our Angie's List discount on the service. They wanted to charge $1800.00 to fix the whole system and we are not sure we even need it. If we get a gas insert fireplace, they are going to stick their own flues and it doesn't matter if the welding of ceramic venting is in perfect shape or not. They were fine. They were good. They were professional. They came in and left. They did very well. They said they would come up with an estimate and that was emailed to me within a day or two. They did good work and I would hire them again if we needed them. I don't know that we will because we are probably going to go for a gas insert. The estimate came back really high. They wanted $1800.00 to do some chimney work. They actually quoted $2100.00 and then they came back with $1800.00 like a special deal because we just had some work done. The flues are in segments and some of them are out of alignments. They were going to do some cementing inside so the gas wouldn't leak into the house. It was reasonable stuff, but it seemed a little bit pricey.

I asked for an analysis of my chimney and that they do what is necessary for it to be up to standards. They took pictures of it and it was obvious it was rusty. Priddy Clean called and told me that I needed a Chase and a cap and I asked them if it needed anything else because I did not want any leakage from the chimney into the attic and they said they did not think so. Once they completed the job, my husband was up in the attic and you can see holes around the chimney so Priddy Clean did not caulk around it and just left the chaise and cap as is.

The company was able to schedule the work promptly (within 48 hours of my call), and although the crew was a couple of hours later than scheduled, they called me in advance to alert me to the fact that they would be late. The crew of 2 was efficient, polite and professional, and based on the performance of my fireplace, did an excellent job.

We had an absolutely awful experience with Priddy Clean Chimney Sweep that resulted in a major health hazard. We hired them to clean our two chimneys and at this time they recommended that we install sterling silver linings in both of our flues due to a fire hazard. Based on the information provided to us by this company, we decided to install a sterling silver tube in our downstairs chimney/flue. The company spent almost 10 hours installing the sterling silver tube on January 13. That evening, our boiler shut off and the radiators turned off. We had no heat. The next day we paid for an emergency visit by a plumber, who told us a carbon monoxide sensor in the boiler was triggered and recommended we contact Priddy Clean Chimney Sweep. It turns out that Priddy Clean Chimney Sweep was completely negligent in recommending the installation of a lining in our flue because they cut off the exhaust pipe of our boiler. As a result, we spent three days without heat in January due to our legitimate fear of carbon monoxide poisoning. When Priddy returned to fix the problem, they ended up hitting some pipe that flooded our basement (our tenants unit). There was about an inch of water in our tenant?s bedroom. They spent all day working on the issue and never found a solution. They just pulled out the silver lining and left. The problem was that our house is 115 years old and at one point was heated by coal, resulting in the boiler venting into the chimney flue. A competent chimney company would have checked to ensure that this was not the case before installing a sterling silver lining that created a serious hazard to our home and health. Even though Priddy Clean Chimney Sweep refunded most of our money, we still felt at a severe disadvantage after spending three days with no heat and paying for a plumber to come out. I would highly recommend not using this company. They created a dangerous situation that resulted in us being in fear for our health, our home, and wasted over 20 hours of our time.

Priddy was great. I called them to get a second quote, which was significantly less than the first quote I received. They arrived on time, and were able to complete the work very soon after I called them. The work looks great (thanks, Miguel!), and I'm very happy to finally have this work done on my home. I would definitely recommend them for quality work at a good price.

We had to reschedule twice before the job was completed. Once because the technician didn't show during the time span. When I called they were very apologetic and scheduled another time that was convenient for me. The second time was because of the weather (it was too windy). The third time was the charm. The technician arrived within the specified time frame. He was careful to cover the carpet to avoid soot getting on it. He inspected and cleaned the chimney. He was very professional and answered the questions that I had and appeared very knowledgeable. Overall, the experience was still excellent.

They project went okay. Overall, I am happy with the work they did. However, they almost forgot a major part of the project (to reparge the smoke chamber, which was cracked and broken). I had to call them back to come and finish the job. I felt like the crew could have finished the project sooner, as they left in the middle of the day once for a few hours. The salesman was very patient, trusting, knowledgeable and not pushy in any way. Ultimately the job they did is good, and I am confident in the work done, however the labor and workers could have conducted themselves a bit more professionally. They do deserve the praise and great grades they have earned on Angie's List.

The workers were prompt in arriving for work, very courteous and very careful about removing and replacing my mantle and objects. They worked in extreme cold and some snow and tried to finish the job as quickly as possible. The company did a followup call about the service. They left information about care of the fireplace and chimmey. I was very satisfied with their work and customer service.

It was a rtainy day and I thought I had made two appointments but neither of the companies showed up. I went to the phone book and called them. A very professional man came out and diagnosed the problem took the measure4ments and when they came to do the work they showed me a picture of the masonery so il dedcided to have the chimney repaiered. There was no protection on the top before so rain going down the chimney had turned it into crumblling pieces. That was what the furnace man told me when he said i needed a liner. They were trustworthy and reliable as I left them alone with access to the house as I had to go to work and they needed to do some instalations iln the fireplace to replace the old flu. I am happy with the service.
