TruGreen Lawn Care - 5820

I don't know how much the service costs, my husband pays all that.We have a long standing contract with them and they do everything. They do okay with the quality.

That's a bad story.  Tried to repair it and the bare spots are still there.  I have actually rehired them and I am paying more attention this time. 

Canceled service and owed a refund. Only paid me for a portion of the refund. Tried several times to resolve the issue with no luck. Probably will have to resolve this in small claims court.

They come out once a month during lawn season. They do the whole entire yard in 15 minutes. I have no unexpected issues with them.

They did a pretty good job. This is the first time I used them. It looks pretty good. Every time before they come they just make a phone call and tell me when they will come.

They are nice, courteous, and dependable. They do a good job, and they are dependable. Our grass and trees usually looks pretty good.

I was EXTREMELY displeased after my lawn service on July 1, broadleaf weed control, which killed large patches of grass, several of my blueberry bushes, a raspberry bush, and perennials and annuals in one flower bed. I don't know whether fertilizer for the grass was also applied, possibly accounting for the grass browning.  I called to complain and was told a manager would contact me within 3 days; Instead, 2 days later a young man came by to "reapply my service". I told him I did not want further chemicals, I wanted my damaged plants replaced. He took pictures on his cell phone and said he would file a report with his manager after his route, and someone would contact me. After no call for another week, I called to cancel my services and get a prorated refund of my prepaid yearly fee. Again, I was requested to not cancel until a manager would
come out, within 3 days.
This most recent call was the 2nd appearance in which I was expecting a manager coming to assess, adjust and advise.  James, the young man sent, had only been working for TruGreen for only four (4) weeks. Immediately after his visit, I called Customer Service and was told that neither of the two employees who had spoken to me, the one who had taken my phone complaint and the one who had come out to reapply, had actually forwarded their contact information to my home branch management.  Your internal communications and follow-up customer contact are severely lacking.
While my trees and shrubs have responded well to your prior service applications, my lawn looks worse now than it did when I signed up with TruGreen a year and a half ago. And I have lost landscaping and berry bushes. You have fallen below my expectations in results, service and communications.  I could have achieved better results personally at far lower cost.

He did a good job

It was not excellent but good.  I had to call them to come around; they came on schedule. 

My experience with them was good. There used to be a whole lot of weeds and those have died. I am going to get them to reseed it this year. They are pretty good. I have never had issues with their service.

I have used them for 20 years. They are extremely service, and they will come anytime if you have a problem and take care of it, if I am at home, they always knock on the door, and explain what they are going to do, and what they are treating that particular day. I pay yearly.

The company called the day before to say they would be coming. The Tru Green man came in the morning as promised. After he finished spraying the trees and shrubs he came to the door to discuss the ice damage that had occurred to some of our trees over the winter.

He told us which ones would recover and the ones that would not. I pretty much knew this already but it was good to have a professional opinion. He also gave me a printout of the chemicals he had used and at what rate, etc.

This is our first year with Trugreen and I am satisfied with their work. I pay monthly and they usually come out once a month. The aeration was an extra $260.00 for a one time service.

The day before they did the application the lawn was green. After the application of the chemicals the lawn was green, but with a film. There were areas of the lawn that normally get a lot of rain. Those areas always grow the best but that spot even has brown spots. That really surprises me. It had a strip, almost like they had put too many chemicals in the applications. It almost feels like I'm an afterthought. They are not giving me good customer service. I want my money back on my second application. I just want to find someone to come in, look at what they have done, and replace it.

The field mgr. who came out for an initial consultation was prompt, professional and very pleasant to talk to. Normally we don't sign up for services until a day or so after talking with a co. but he was extremely informative and provided extra advice for lawn care. He promised he'd try to have someone start the first treatment in a few days, which he did. The tech who came out to do the first treatment seemed to work very quickly and I questioned whether he did a thorough saturation of the treatment. He pleasantly replied that he did and that the weeds would start to die and eventually disappear within a couple of weeks. He was right! He obviously did a thorough job because my lawn now looks like it has more grass than weeds. The green color has come back also. Unfortunately, there are bald patches where the weeds were, which the tech explained would happen. I am looking forward to having them do the next treatment soon and also do the aeration and seeding to fill my grass back out in those patches. The downside of this company is that the number you call connects you with someone out of state and they take the messages. I would like to continue to use them and see how it this service goes long term. So far, my grass looks a lot better with just one treatment.
