Wonderfully. The crew had such expertise that they offered excellent advice and the results were outstanding. They knew care and use (cleaning products). They were patient with us as we made up our mind about furniture placement and carpets. They also completed the work in the expected timeframe. We are a senior couple and they moved all the heavy furniture around for us. I will gladly have them return to do other work.

It was one of the smoothest and easiest projects I've done at my house. Luis is super easy to work with. He and his team are real professionals so the work goes fast but is also impeccably done. I was nervous about getting a match between the old and new floor because I went with a natural finish, rather than staining the wood, and the difference is virtually undetectable. The result is absolutely beautiful. I almost didn't want to put the furniture back in the rooms because the floor is stunning to look at! I'm convinced the new floors added a lot of value. The team is meticulous and takes great care with getting the details right. Luis came by after the project was complete and walked through how to properly care for the floors. He is a pleasure to work with and I plan to have him refinish the second floor in the near future. I highly recommend L&A.

I didn't price shop that first job because my expectations were so low, given the age and conditions (there had been water damage), and the price he charged seemed very reasonable. Well I was impressed when the floors looked like new, and the apartments rented immediately! Since that first job in 1998, Luis has done refinishing and repairs to apartments at another building, my residence in Great Falls, my sons 1880's farm house in Leesburg, and an most recently installed new floors in a new home. Luis and his crew are prompt, attentive to every detail, including color, finish, trim, matching, repairs, and just do all around excellent work. He's keeps very busy, and he doesn't have any slackers working with him. I feel his rates are the best around, very, very reasonable. And I feel I was very fortunate to find him back in 1998, around the time I believe he was just taking over the business his father had started. He's my go to guy for hardwood floors and stairs. I will look for pictures and post them once I find them.

They were excellent - on time, professional, worked very clean and knew their craft. Other family members have used them and they came highly recommended. Great value for the scope of work compared to other estimates received.

Great service, great price, very responsive. We had a tight schedule between closing and move-in. They worked with us to plan the work, and executed the plan perfectly couldn't be happier. Good prices and very reasonable about on-site changes (there were some stairs we added to the work order).

They were very thorough and professional.  They took care to seal off other rooms in the house, watched out for our cats, and cleaned up after themselves - no dust!  We were on a very tight time frame and the team worked very hard to ensure our floors were finished on time.

The provider came to our home to provide estimates and evaluate the condition of the floors.  Afterwards, he told us exactly what was needed to restore the wood to its natural beauty as well as suggestions on how to maintain the wood floors for longevity.
The provider also inspected the sunroom floor to see if there was a hidden wood floor under the old carpet.  He provided splotches
of carpet colors to fit our taste and new sunroom floor.  I was impressed with the amount of detail he provided in advising us on what to expect throughout the installation as well as how to prepare ourselves for the intrusion into our daily schedules.  The company was always available for our questions as they came up and after the work was completed, forwarded information to us on maintain wood floors.

.Luis is a floor artist.  He knows and cares about installing and caring for floors.  I called him in after a designer and contractor installed wood floors that creaked, cupped and looked horrible.  He was very patient and understanding.  He explained what was wrong and what my option were to remedy my situation.
Finally, I hired him to fix the mess.  The floors look great and I am very happy.  Do not make the mistake I made, hire Luis right away if you want beautiful, perfectly installed floors.

Our floors look great. They were a little late the first day (20 mins, nothing crazy). They didn't initially have the color stain we were interested in seeing, but they were accommodating to our request to have a lighter color and were able to make it work. They finished on time (earlier than estimated, actually), and were focused on making sure we were pleased and got what we wanted. Overall, very good experience, and we're happy with the results.

Erlin was incredibly responsive, professional, and courteous.  I was on a very tight schedule to put my home on the market.  After identifying L& A Floors on Angies List as a nearby and well-reviewed business, I gave them a call.  I had to leave a message, but I received a call back within the hour.  After explaining that I had a tight schedule and tight budget, Erlin agreed to come to my home that evening to provide a estimate.  He was courteous and professional.  He provided good suggestions and explained in detail how the work would be completed. (He also provided a good estimate on carpet, but I decided not to do any carpeting due to budget constraints.
For various reasons, I was unable to commit to having the work done for about 2 weeks.  When I called Erlin, he was very responsive to my request to schedule the work in just a few days.  He went out of his way to accomodate my request and fit the work into his schedule.  The work was performed on time, exactly as promised, and the outcome was excellent!
The floors look incredible.  My real estate agent was so impressed by the job (and the price and the timing) that she asked for their contact information so that she can refer them to her other clients.

I've used L and A Floors on 5 other units that I own and will continue to use them because they are very professional and takes pride in the work. If you want quality work in a timely fashion L and A is your company.

I got estimates from three different companies, but the rep from L and A seemed like the most honest and knowledgeable of the three, and he quoted us the best price. That made it an easy choice for me. We scheduled a date and they arrived on time and prepared. I was concerned about dust from the sanding but after they were done there really wasn't much dust. I was also concerned about some stains on the floors from the previous owners, but they came right out in the sanding.
I feel like throughout the process I was given good and honest advice and treated fairly. And now my floors look great, just like they were brand new.

The company sent a young man to quote the refinishing of the floor. Inorder to complete the project around the other contractors, we needed to remove the existing closet. He helped me to prepare the room for floor for a quick transformation. It was an amazing experience. He hauled the debris away. When the crew came the next day, they had the same work ethic. They explained the process and worked with my schedule. They were clean and careful to control the dust and then the smell of the chemicals. The floor is beautiful and will last for years.
