Hudson & Fouquet

The salon has a nice atmosphere, the cut and style were good and the stylist was very friendly. But something went wrong with the color, and the stylist knew it. She tried to fix it, twice, which I appreciated, but it still wasn't right, and my hair is too processed for me to want to try again. I have had color problems a couple of times over the years before this. I know it happens, but I've never had it happen at such a high end salon, with the fix not satisfactory. Also, they use trainees sometimes to do the blow dry. They explained that they do that when they squeeze people in for color appointments and that most customers "are happy to get in for the color and are glad just to get their hair dried." I won't go there again. They charge a lot and I don't think the service is any better than what I've gotten at many lower priced salons.

I thought the salon was nice and I used Nancy to cut my hair. She did a great job, was easy to talk to, and very friendly. I am iffy on if I will go back to the salon or not. The reason behind that is the price. I cannot believe that haircuts range anywhere from $60-$120 depending on who cuts your hair. I think that is outrageous!!!! I don't color my hair but I can only imagine that would be even more expensive. I have gone to a hair salon in Towson (Coco and Buff) for almost ten years. They cut my hair the same, if not better and a hair cut there is $43. I don't think this is by any means cheap but it isn't as high as Hudson and Fouquet. If I have the time and need to run errands, I might head out to Towson to do so and grab a haircut while I am there. If time is tight, I might go back to Hand F. If they lower their prices...... I'd switch to them without hesitation.

I would love to get them on Angie's List. It is very good. The service is personalized. They are very reliable. I never left this place without being 100% satisfied. I went to new place, wasn't happy with it, went back to them and they were always able to fix it. The price is higher than the rest, but the result is well worth it.
