"(member name removed), We applied organic fertilizer on 5/15, this is true. We applied your corn-gluten meal however on 4/18. We did not miss this application. I'd appreciate you correcting your review as this misunderstanding is harmful."
For the folks who have used them only a few times and then given up -- organic lawn care takes time and patience. We had a very poor lawn with weeds outcompeting the grass and nutrient-deficient soil. Over the course of the year that we used them, our yard had never looked better, and it was improving each month. I'm excited to have them bring it back again!
"I went to this lawn to see what her complaint could be. We aerated and seeded and applied starter fertilizer to the lawn in spring and fall in 2012 and fertilized in summer and winterized in october. With no pre-emergent used because of the spring seeding we were still able to completely control the clover and all other weeds which she had an issue with, this is not easy to do without pre-emergent and shows that we did a very thorough job while servicing her lawn. As for dead grass she has 2 small areas of creeping bentgrass (a weed brought in by birds that feed on golf course greens typically) this species is disease prone which is why golf courses use fungicides so frequently. It is a weed grass and not uncommon to turn white or orange from disease and die... this is a good thing so that it can be reseeded with good grasses. I knocked on the door to ask what the complaint could possibly be as her lawn is greener, thicker, and with fewer weeds than when we started less than a year before. Her adult son answered and I showed him the lawn and he said that he could not see anything to complain about. He recommended I call his mother to see what her problem with our service could have been. I called her on her cell phone and she explained that she loved working with us and that we were responsive and professional but that she wasn't totally pleased with the results. I asked her what part because the weeds are non-existent, the lawn is green and thick from the seeding and winterizer, and that there are only 2 small areas of dead bentgrass which we would reseed as a courtesy to our customers in the spring. She said there was nothing specific, so I asked why she would write such a negative review then which is hurtful, she could only say that she "just wasn't totally satisfied." I cannot account for unrealistic expectations; In her own words to me she said we were responsive and professional and that she enjoyed working with us. Her results were very good and 99% of the lawn looks great... but she has only 2 small (4' circles) where a weed died and she wrote a review like that without even asking how easy it would be to fill those 2 small circles in (it would've only needed about $15 worth of seed thrown this spring to fill it in nicely)."
