We'd definitely engage his services again.
Let me start by saying Nick was very professional and well versed in his products, services & industry. Nice guy all around who was easy to talk to and was a no pressure person, which I prefer. Very responsive to any and all questions and was willing to offer up all the answers and information he could. This was greatly appreciated.
Now as a whole, I don't believe this is worth $49. It was more of a sales pitch. One of which I would suggest be offered for free of charge. He did not inspect down spouts or exterior foundation, nor did he inspect window wells for leaks, etc. He did check humidity levels and also go over thoroughly his suggested fixes to keep my basement dry and prevent any future issues, especially due to me wanting to finish it. I pointed out my problem areas and he gave me solid recommendations.
When and if I choose to install certain measures in my basement, I will absolutely consider this company, if not the service, definitely the products. But this deal - not worth $49. I'm sure you can get this for free if you call another vendor. Regardless, this is tough as I did like Nick and all that he did do. Just the $49 is why I gave pricing a C. I think I wanted more of a drawn up/written plan. He did send me a detailed estimate that same day.

Yes you could get another vendor to do the inspection for free however you would not get the credit. Also Pioneer Basement has a full service department that services all the products (pumps, etc) that we install which most other contractors in the industry do not. Thanks for the review."

"We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. We do two types of leads when we go out. One is just a regular estimate for a customer looking to get work done. The other is a full basement inspection in which we have a deal on Angie's list for. It was a simple clerical error on our part and we did not mark the call as a Angie's list big deal inspection. My project manager that went out was under the assumption that it was a normal estimate call. We would be more than happy to come back out and give you the inspection you paid for. Again I apologize for the mix up but if you give us the opportunity we won't disappoint you. Thank you for bringing this to our attention so we can prevent this from happening again. "We are sorry that you thought our FastSump Pump Big Deal included digging the hole and installing a sump pump liner. It clearly states that the Big Deal is to replace an existing sump pump that already has the liner and piping. I am sorry you gave us an F. Perhaps you should read the details in our Big Deal ad. Because of your bad review we have decided to no longer renew our FastSump pump replacement Big Deal. If you feel this way then other customers may think the same thing. I am sure Pioneer Basement will make sure you get your refund. Thanks for the review as it will help us get better by not offering this type of Big Deal again."

Would definitely recommend for honest assessment of basement issues and even if you do not choose to work with them, they will answer any questions you may have. I even called Ken D. (initial contact with company and project manager) weeks after I scheduled the service and he answered my basement questions for 20 minutes on a Saturday morning.
