Car was picked-up on on schedule and received call from the driver regarding delivery time once loading was complete (hauling a distance of ~300 miles, so ~5 hours' drive-time). Delivery occurred about 30 minutes earlier than planned, received phonecall from driver with ample time. Unloading was smooth and without incident, occurred in large parking lot with ample room for the rig and safe unloading of the car.

Pickup and dropoff were just as predicted. Protection of the car was top notch. Price was at least competitive with other closed transport auto transporters. The service was not bid out but actually done by Intercity and the driver was their man.
The car was protected during the transport and every thing about it was perfect. At pickup, the driver noted every little flaw on the exterior of the car and at delivery I couldn't find a thing that had not already been noted.
Excellent! Could not have gone better.

We used Intercity Lines to transport a car from California to Massachusetts. It is a little more costly to go with an enclosed truck, versus the usual open truck offered by other transport services, but we felt it was well worth it. The folks at Intercity are very pleasant. The only problem we experienced was setting up the dates for pick up and drop off. We had a lot of flexibility in pick up date, and it would be better if Intercity could have someone in charge of logistics who would keep in constant contact offering dates as they become available and as Intercity's schedule changes. It is understandable that trucks don't leave California until they are mostly full, but the website does not allow you to schedule a date range, and they don't call to update you very often. That's our only complaint. Otherwise, they do a fantastic job. Our driver, Steve, was very punctual, very pleasant, and very accommodating. He kept us well informed of his progress, so we flew from CA to MA just ahead of the car. At the delivery end, we have a lot of low hanging wires on neighborhood streets, so the driver agreed to drop the car at a parking lot in town. He arrived exactly when he said he would. The car arrived in perfect condition. We would use them again, without hesitation, and the peace of mind knowing that the car was in excellent hands and transported in an enclosed truck was well worth the slight additional cost of enclosed transport versus open transport.

My daughter recently accepted a job offer in Miami. Transporting her car across country was a concern of ours because of all the negative reviews we'd read. Our neighbor recommended Intercity Lines. After contacting them we agreed on price and pick up date was set. Their driver arrived promptly on pick-up date, and gave us his cell number to contact him anytime. He arrived in Miami 4 days earlier than we expected, saving my daughter additional costs for car rental. Car delivered in same condition as sent. Overall we were more than pleased. Would definitely use again and recommend highly.

I think the best example I can use is the e-mail I sent to Intercity Lines after delivering of my car:
"Mr. Bergeron
I apologize for the delay in responding to you. I received your voicemail message on Tuesday, August 16, 2011. I am glad that you called as I wanted to provide some feedback on my experience with your company.
The Corvette was initially supposed to be picked up on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. My mother called me to advise that the driver had some trouble with the truck and had to reschedule pick-up for Wednesday, August 10. My understanding is that the driver communicated with her promptly and informed her fully about what was going on and apologized for the inconvenience. I spoke with my mom again Wednesday evening after the car had been picked up. She said that the driver, Jessie, had arrived on-time and had loaded the car with no problems. She said that he was very personable, courteous, friendly and professional. She told me that he intended to be at my house in Virginia sometime before noon the next day. I was surprised to hear this as I was not expecting the delivery to be so prompt. (It actually put me in a small flail state as I was installing a larger gate on my privacy fence to allow access for the car and, quite frankly, thought delivery would take a couple of days and that I would have more time - very glad to be wrong on that score!)
Jessie called me the next morning around 11:30 a.m. and said that he had run into heavy traffic and was going to be delayed, but should arrive by around 2:30 p.m. He also asked some thoughtful questions about my development with an eye to whether or not he would be able to get his truck in and out (which I had not thought about). Jessie also called me when he was about one hour out, which allowed me to finish up at my office and get home in time to meet him.He arrived with the Corvette around 2:00 p.m. Due to the configuration of the truck and the main road in my development he had to go to the end of the street and make a u-turn in a "T" intersection. How he managed to pull that off as smoothly as he did is beyond me and a credit to him as a driver.
Once the truck was secured he introduced himself and talked to me as he was unloading the car. I was as impressed with the truck as I was with Jessie. Once the car was unloaded he went over the paperwork with me and did not rush me as I went over the car. I was then able to get in and drive my new baby back to the house.
I hope you don't mind but I attached a few photos of the car being unloaded.
I could not be happier with Intercity Lines. You were prompt with responding to requests for quotes. You were prompt with scheduling dates. You were prompt and efficient with pick-up and delivery. I still cannot believe that you were able to deliver the car the next day after it was picked-up.
This was my first experience with transporting a car but my research led me to narrow possibilities down to 3 companies. My mother's research did the same. Intercity Lines was on both short lists. As such I had high expectations. Intercity exceeded my expectations.
If I even need to transport the car again your company will be the first call I make.If you need any additional information please do not hesitate to contact me."

In short, the process was smooth, from getting an estimate of the pickup/delivery to the payment for the service, to the scheduling of the pickup, to the delivery itself.
I added yet another vehicle to my collection and am quite pleased.
