A new battery was installed on a Mercedes. the shop charged $130 plus tax for the battery. The battery died 11 months later and would not take a charge any more.  A reputable shop belonging to well known chain of automobile parts retailers, tested the battery and concluded it was dead.When we stopped by at G&W Auto, its owner. Jay Gerges, who installed the battery, refused to make a partial refund for the remaining 74 months of the warranted battery life (85 months warranty) and when we pointed out to him that he sold us as new a battery which was punched out as having been installed in October 2005 -- the shop sold us a used battery as new, the fact that we observed only when we removed the battery in order to bring it to G&W Auto. Jay told us that he did not know how it happened that a "new" battery sold to us in 2010 was punched as having been installed first in 2005, he said "I do not punch out the numbers, the supplier (Interstate Batteries) does". This was a  lie. Installing a used battery was a fraud magnified by the refusal to either make a refund or to provide a new battery.In another repair, of an SUV, Jay tightened the leaking gasket the differential but neglected to check the level of the oil in the differential -- the differential run almost dry for a few weeks after Jay's "repair" and the estimate is we will have to spend $2000 to replace the rear axle including the differential.

Do not use Jay Gerges services -- he is a fraud.
