I was about to leave for the airport when the serpentine belt on my car came off the tensioner. I made the airport run with my other car, but returned home with the challenge of how to get the belt and tensioner replaced Hudson Automotive responded quickly to my request to tow my car into their shop and replaced not only the belt, but the worn tensioner that had caused the belt to come off in the first place and the idler pulley as well. Total cost was well below what it would have cost me to tow to my dealer and the car is back running like new again.

We are very pleased with them. They are reliable and reasonable. They do what they say they do and I will continue using them in future.

Car is Honda CRV 10 yrs old with 90k miles. Symptoms were scraping on turns, clunk on right turn & bumps, and sudden onset engine noise on start. After diagnosis, owner Jay called for approval before doing work. The scraping was bent/rusted brake backing plates (mud guards). The clunk was right upper ball joint, plus loose front sway bar links. Removal of the right valve cover & upper timing covers revealed timing belt was OK (phew!), but crankshaft harmonic balancer was broken (age). We authorized all proposed work, except for replacing sway bar links. Work was complete one day later. No subsequent trouble. For over 10 years, we have used Hudson Road Auto because it was close, reliable and super-honest. In early 2012, the business was sold to Jay Looney, who retained the two mechanics and many customers. Jay adds up-to-date technology experience and fantastic diagnostic skill to the high business ethics of the former owner. We are very pleased.

Needed new tires for a trailer. The price was very competitive to other quotes I received. The were very flexible about when I could bring it in and had it done when promised. They even checked the bearing when they had the rims off and adjusted one and packed the bearings. They are trustworthy, reasonably priced, and easy to do business with. I highly recommend them!

I have been going to them for a number of years. I have always been satisfied with the work they do. They are honest, can usually get an appointment on short notice and never try to sell you items you don't need. I trust the job and advice they give on my car. They may not always be the cheapest out there, but they are the best.

I find that their price is a little high, but they are really very good at fixing cars. That's why we keep going there. They get the job done quickly, and I think that they are very honest. They have a high level of integrity. They will not sell me something that is not needed.
