I was on the fence about this review, but in the end I decided that this firewood experience was better than others over the last few years and I will probably order from them again. I absolutely dread buying firewood. You never know what you're going to get (quality or quantity) and by the time you stack it and realize you were shorted, and burn a few logs and realize it's not fully seasoned, your check has been cashed and there's not much you can do. In my experience deliveries are almost always short, it's just a matter of how much. Also, firewood dealers use the term "seasoned" very loosely. After several years of bad experience from other dealers, I decided to give 3 Guys a try. I thought maybe my problem was that I was always ordering the cheapest wood I could find. 3 Guys wasn't the cheapest but still priced pretty well, and I'd seen them advertise for years in the Action Unlimited so I thought they would be reputable, The woman on the phone assured me that they've been doing this a long time, and they always deliver the full amount. So I placed my order for 4 cords, and they delivered a few days later exactly when they said they would. With two young kids stacking firewood is usually not high on my weekend priority list, so it took me about a month to finish the job. When I finished, I pulled out the tape measure and calculator and came up with about 375 cu ft, just shy of 3 cords. Being short didn't surprise me, but being short a full cord did. I decided I'd give them a call, but since a month had passed since they delivered I didn't know what my chances were of getting more wood delivered. After a few attempts and an unreturned voice mail, I finally got the same woman to answer. She didn't sound surprised or dubious by the amount that I was short, and simply took my address and told me they'd deliver another cord by the end of the week. No questions and no fuss, but I was skeptical that I'd ever see that delivery truck. Sure enough, the next weekend a truck appeared with another load of wood. The driver was super friendly, and he's probably the reason I consider this an overall positive experience. I asked if he wanted to measure my wood stack and he said it wasn't necessary. He apologized for the inconvenience, and explained that they take customers at their word because they wanted to build a reputation for good service. He even wanted me to tell my neighbors. So in the end I received the full amount of wood that I paid for. It's split into very nice size pieces, and seems well seasoned. In fact, we burned some of it today and it lights right up, and there's no steam hissing out of the ends of the logs. Based on the previous review, I'm not convinced that I was originally shorted by mistake. This company delivers a lot of wood, and I would expect that they know exactly how much they are delivering. However, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, and since they delivered more wood without any fuss I'll order from them again next year. Unfortunately the firewood business is generally pretty shady, and I feel like I can trust 3 Guys to do the right thing so I'll stick with them. Despite the rocky start to our relationship, I would also recommend them to others. Just be sure to stack and measure your wood.

Talked with very pleasant secretary on the phone made my wood order of 3 cords and was told that the delivery would be made before noon two days later. On wood delivery day I waited all morning until afternoon, At which time I called to see if the driver was lost or running late...the pleasant woman on the phone said Dick was running behind he will be there in 1 hour so that would have put him here at 1:30pm he showed up at 4:00pm . He backed into the very accessible spot I had laid out for him to dump the wood. I was told the truck only has 2 cords in it and he will need to go and get another cord for me. I told him that was fine and I would see him in a half hour...Right! 6:00pm rolls around and he dumps half a load of dirt bark and some wood and leaves. The next two days I stacked all the wood he brought me. IT WAS UNDER 2 CORDS!!! Three loads of wood and I was still short 1.3 cords. But the check I gave him was cashed already. While talking with the driver/owner Dick after the first load I learned that he has been in this business for years and bragged how he was 72 yo. There is no way in my mind that this was a mistake. The guys in the wood business KNOW how much wood fits in their truck, Especially a 72 yo guy who has been in the business for his whole life. They just DON'T expect you to stack the wood. When I found out I was short I called and was told that Dick would call me that night.....NO CALL...next morning called again was told Dick would have to call me afternoon. Waited again NO CALL....Called again that night and I got a machine. Later that night a message was left on my phone it was Dick finally...He said he would deliver what I was short on Monday night. He did but looked like a kid who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He didn't even attempt to measure or see how much wood I was short . If I owned a firewood company and someone said I shorted them...you bet your a** I would double check and make sure they were right. On a personal note this is my first time writing a review on anything. I have finally had it and felt I needed to pass on this information. My feelings still stand that this was deliberate not an accident or mistake or break down in communication. I restated what I ordered when he showed up. SO...MAKE SURE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!!!!

They delivered the wood at night. They did not let me know that they were there. Since it was night time I was not able to inspect the load. When I brought the wood into my home it did not burn. When I was stacking the wood I found out that there were other types of wood besides oak. They also told me it would be between 16-18 inches and some pieces were bigger.

I responded to their add in the Action Unlimited for seasoned firewood. Richard Bonetti agreed to deliver 2 cords of seasoned firewood to our house. He asked me to leave a check taped to the door so we didn't have to coordinate a delivery time (my first mistake). He agreed to deliver on Thursday but didn't make it until Friday - which is no big deal. But the delivery on Friday came at a time when I was out, which was unfortunate because if I had seen this wood I never would have accepted the delivery. I have never seen greener firewood delivered under the pretense of being "seasoned". It was saturated with water, the bark stuck on like glue, no checks in the ends - totally and completely green. I placed two sticks in a blazing hot wood stove and they sat there like duds - would not burn. So I called Dick and complained. He seemed genuinely surprised - he must deal the wood but doesn't cut & season it. He promised to bring me "some" dry wood the following day, which made me feel a little better about having to stack and store 2 cords of wood for next year's winter season AND deal with finding additional seasoned firewood for this year plus somehow come up with the additional money needed... BUT, he never showed up and hasn't called. I'm VERY disappointed with this experience. We ordered another cord (that's all we could now afford) from another company and when the guy delivered the wood this weekend, he looked at the first wood that we had delivered and also said that it was totally unacceptable to be called seasoned firewood.
Description of Work: Ordered 2 cords of SEASONED firewood to be delivered to our house for use in our wood stove this winter. The wood was delivered but it was NOT seasoned - it was totally green and unusable.

Saw their advertisement in the Action Unlimited for firewood. They had good prices. I ordered a cord. It is very good quality. They had free delivery. I'm planning to order two more cords.
