MAJESTIC HARDWOOD FLOORS

During our recent kitchen remodel, we experienced the full spectrum of contractor service ranging from horrific to exceptional. Majestic Home Improvement was average at best. The floor was completed basically on time and to our specifications with only a minor delay due to a few obvious redo areas. We had two main concerns with Keith. First, we had to point out that these redo areas even existed. We believe that Keith would not have found and repaired the problem areas with out our request. Second, Keith actually called our general contractor and complained that we were somehow avoiding or stalling on his payment when he was not even 2/3 done with the project. Out of the blue, we get a call from the general contractor inquiring why we won't pay him! I was furious. We had paid 1/3 down as a deposit with 2/3 due at completion. At the time of the call, only 2 of the 3 coats had even been applied. Keith on several occasions informed me that if he didn't get a check "this week" that he wouldn't get a pay check this week and that he hoped that I understood. I informed the general contractor that we would be happy to make the final payment once the job was complete to our satisfaction and not a minute before. The general contractor agreed and Keith was promptly paid at the completion of the job. His work was acceptable but his lack of professionalism left us sour.
