About us
Dakin Humane Society is a community supported animal welfare organization that provides services for more than 20,000 animals and their people each year. Since its inception in 1969, Dakin has become one of the most recognized nonprofit organizations in the Pioneer Valley and a national leader in animal welfare.

Services we offer
Dakin offers animals for adoption (cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and other small animals); low-cost, high quality spay and neuter surgery; low-cost vaccines; dog training classes at all levels; workshops for pet lovers; pet food assistance; and help re-homing pets.
Services we don't offer
We are not municipally funded and thus do not provide animal control services. We do not provide boarding or grooming services.
