I gave Rob a deposit on May 19. He worked on my paint job 4 short days [5 -6 hours with lots of breaks] before walking off the job when I spoke angrily on July 7th. Rob had been told upon hire that I wanted the job done soon as I was planning to list the house for sale. Both my son and I tried to talk to him repeatedly to see if there was any way we could resolve the problem and get the job done. On July 7th, Rob rang my doorbell at about 10 am. He was standing there with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth blowing smoke and he asked me to plug in his electric cord - he wanted it in the front hall. I said no, because I had just had my wood floors re-finished and I did not want to leave the door ajar. He argued with me and I finally yelled - something about how he wouldn't have this problem had he gotten the work done in a reasonable time. He quit the job and is currently refusing to refund my money even though he is aware that another company had to remove all the paint he sprayed, repair the clapboards and re-do the whole job. In addition, Rob got paint on the windows, cut my trees w/o permission, used my tools and worked with headphones in his ears all day so you couldn't even talk to him. He left a mess.
Description of Work: Repaired some woodwork, did some prep, started painting front of house.
