We are Small Haul, and we are here to change the perception of the moving industry, one move at a time. Locally owned and operated by Charles Conigliaro, Small Haul has built its reputation on GREAT service: Grit, Respect, Efficiency, Attitude, Technique. We match the crew to the job. Each Hauler has a different skill set and strength, and using some pretty neat technology and an office team of internal Haulers we can quickly determine how to best service each move. Matt had a two man team to move the armoire and brought the appropriate equipment; a dolly with rubber wheels and furniture blankets. The armoire is extremely heavy and Small Haul did a very good job being careful with this piece of furniture. They moved it from the entry hall to the living room and positioned it perfectly between two windows. They were in and out in about 10 minutes. We were very happy with the work they did and would definitely use Small Haul again.

This is the second time I've used Matt and his associate. They are thorough, punctual, and professional. They did a great job and took a huge load off my mind. Highly recommended when you don't need a huge truck or team to get from A to B.

What can I say? Matt and Small Haul are a wonderful company. He was in touch with me about an estimate and scheduling the move itself which was painless. He and his colleague were on time (a few minutes early in fact), polite, careful (no damage to any of my things), transported quickly and unloaded without incident. Matt even adjusted my initial estimate down because the job didn't take as long as he originally expected. In the end, it cost about the same as if I rented my own truck and convinced a friend to help me out only this way, I didn't have to go get the vehicle and no one ended up with back pain. If I ever need a few things moved again, I will definitely be on the phone to Small Haul. This type of service is so great if you only have a few things to move. It's like having a friend with a pickup truck.

Matt made the whole process very easy. We talked by phone several times in advance of the move, and based on our estimate of how much there was to move, he made recommendations of whether he would need a rented U-Haul instead of the pick-up truck he usually relies on. Matt did not come move me personally, but his crew was extremely professional. There were 2 movers and they worked expediently and carefully. I was a bit surprised by the total amount charged, but when I called Matt to follow up, he was extremely gracious, apologized if I had misunderstood the estimate, and offered to waive certain fees. (I think the cost was higher than I had expected because of the extra time required to pick up the U-Haul and the fact that it was originating from Newton.)
All in all, they were a great crew and appropriately sized for this job. The cost probably wasn't significantly higher than if we had to arrange the UHaul ourselves without movers, and it saved us the trouble of dealing with the UHaul rental and the labor involved with moving our stuff ourselves.

Matt and Dan did a great job moving a 60and quot; TV with console, a chair and several other assorted items that I purchased on CraigsList. They also made a special stop so I could pick up a few boxes from storage. Communications were very good, the rates are fair and the guys were efficient and professional. I will certainly use them again!

Everything went like clockwork. The owner usually does the work himself with the help of one or two staff members. However, he had recently been injured in a motor vehicle accident, so was unable to move any of the items himself. The 2 men who did the actual moving were very professional, conscientious, pleasant, and hard-working. They arrived on time and completed the work very efficiently. I highly recommend this company! Not only were they terrific to work with and highly qualified, but their price was incredibly reasonable. The larger companies' estimates were 3 times higher than Small Hauls!

Outstanding experience, the movers were prompt, courteous and professional. The cost actually came in under their initial estimate. I would recommend Small Haul to anyone, they were a pleasure to deal with.

We were very happy with the experience. We've used Matt before for similar projects (moving heavy stuff we buy on Craigs list), and have always found him to be a pleasure to work with. He was quick and responsive in the quoting and scheduling process which made it easy to arrange to job. On the job he took very good care of our equipment, putting in the extra efforts to make sure that it arrived safely, and that it was installed properly. There is a wide range of professionalism among movers, and I regard Matt to be at the very high end of the spectrum. We would readily use him again.

Matt was terrific. He gave estimates for different levels of service, (we help him move or he hires someone to help). The quote with a helper was reasonable so we opted for that. He and his helper were courteous, careful and efficient. He was running late with a flat tire and called us to let us know. He was very flexible in having two destinations, unloading some of the furntiture at Goodwill, then unloading the rest at our house. We highly recommend him and will use him again.

This was one of the best service provider experiences I have had in ages. Matt was excellent with email and phone communication pre-move; was very flexible in accommodating the shipper's uncertain schedule; and was able to move jobs around to accommodate me when the shipper's error caused a potential three hour delay. Matt and his assistant were prompt, punctual, friendly, willing to take on a challenge, and above all efficient. They were careful about the furniture/walls/wall hangings, etc., and available on short notice. Matt kept me posted throughout the process and followed up with an email to let me know the job was done and the delivery made. An excellent and professional operation.

I got them off Craig's List and then realized they were on Angie's List as well. Their price was amazing. It was less than they quoted me because they said it was easier than they thought. They were so nice and professional. I can't say enough about them.

Matt was extremely efficient in coordinating the pickup of a piece of furniture in North Andover. He arrived, with a helper, exactly on time and the job took the same amount of time he estimated. They handled the furniture with care and were extremely professional. I would absolutely call him again for any small moving job. I have dealt with movers many times on local and long-distance moves and there is normally an issue with punctuality, price or quality. Not in this case. Excellent overall.

Matt and his associate Mike picked up and delivered a heavy curio cabinet from New Hampshire to Boston for me. They were fantastic and a pleasure to work with. Exactly on time, and super responsive. The cabinet was VERY heavy, and they carried it up a flight of stairs no problem. Mike also made an extra trip to my house to pick up a money order for the seller (it was a Craigslist purchase) saving me a trip for payment. I highly recommend Small Haul.

The job was to pick up and deliver a heavy metal 5 drawer lateral filing cabinet. They picked it up, brought it up a narrow flight of stairs, and put it all back together. Indeed, they insisted on making sure that every drawer closed and locked. Matt and his assistant were just fabulous. I highly recommend them.

Matt is great. Polite, responsive, helpful and gets the job done. I needed a basketball hoop picked up and delivered to my house. We emailed and scheduled a 6:30pm pick up, but then called him that same night at 5:30 to see if we could make it a little earlier. He offered to go get it right then, and by 6pm he had picked up and delivered the hoop. He charged us a reasonable $40 "curb to curb" and didn't leave until he had set up the hoop where we wanted it and had made sure that it was secure and balanced and wasn't going to fall over. I used Matt a couple of months ago to move a mattress, and had a similarly positive experience. I would most certainly use him again and have already recommended him to friends.

He was prompt and very professional. He even picked me up and we drove to Public Storage together. He was very careful with all of the furniture, so there were no scratches or dents. He was also very efficient--there was not a moment of wasted time. The price was more than fair, and the service excellent.
