 + -1 moreInitially I received excellent help in selecting a high quality floor material in just the right colors to match 3 intersecting wood floors. The estimate process was on time and helpful and comfortable. The process required was explained in every detail. My house is 100 years old, and a tear-out of various compromised layers was necessary. I know that the information given to me was exactly what I had learned through my own research. The price was exactly where I thought it should be. All the work was performed by carpenters/floor layers who were extremely competent, courteous, and helpful. The results are beautiful, and successfully integrate a kitchen and new laundry/mudroom. Atlantic has my highest praise.
Description of Work: My house is 100 years old. The old enclosed porch which is now the laundry room had 3 layers of old wood, some of it with dry rot. Those had to be taken out right down to the floor joists, which were fine. The floor level then had to be matched to the kitchen, into which the new floor would also flow. The kitchen had to have one layer of wood and vinyl removed, and new wooden underlayment put in place. This included covering a 100 year old brick section which was a hearth. 4 thresholds were necessary to lead into adjoining rooms. I did choose a premium Mannington vinyl floor.
