The inspection and report were thorough and well done. However, it was a nightmare of calls, emails, and finally threats of poor reviews to get the report delivered months later. We ended up using a different company to do the roof repairs because of this. I understand that the family who owns the company had personal issues during this time that contributed to these problems. Had they been better communicators, those issues wouldn't have impacted the work so dramatically.

My experience with Michael F. Nash & Sons Inc. worked out well. The inspection took about 20 minutes. It was from the ground. They're very friendly. It's him and his son, I think. Then they sent me the report.I haven't done any of the repairs, but in terms of what they said they would provide for the amount of money, which was the inspection, they did exactly that.

Jeremiah was very good to work with. Occasionally there were some delays, but I know it was just becuase he was busy, and nothing too major to really complain about. Once we got the estimate, he was very easy to talk to and he was happy to explain it when we had questions. We did hire them to do the work - it took a little while to have the work scheduled because of some rain delays, but once it started they were completely done in two days. They had left behind some materials, but other than that the area was left clean. The work they did is great - we now have the best looking roof on the street! Everything they did was top quality. I even had a home inspector say that the roof looks great now, and that we got a very good deal on it. I would definiltely recommend them to friends, and should I ever need another roof, I will use them again.

Communication is poor to non-existent.  I never received contact from them for three weeks upon purchasing my Angie's List coupon for their gutter cleaning service,  I attempted three times by email and twice by phone to contact them.  Their phone number answers with a generic answering service, and they NEVER respond to this.  They never responded to their emails either.  I had to actually call Angie's List to have them contact them; Nash Brothers.  Angie's List called me to tell me they would finally be at my home within a couple of days, over three weeks after I paid for their service.  I was at work when they came, but my wife was home.  She said a swarm of workers cleaned the gutters, and they did clean up very well after themselves, but I have no idea how thorough they were.  They had to borrow one of our flimsy garden hoses to spray out the gutters (professionals should provide there own, IMO).  That/our hose was only designed for very light gardening, and immediately after they used it it now heavily leaks, and has to be replaced.  I was also to have received an inspection of our gutters, and of our roof, as part of the service.  I was told we would receive an email evaluation WEEKS ago, but to date we have not.  I do not recommend Nash Brothers.  They are hacks.  I still want my paid-for inspection email response!

Mr. Nash was there himself to supervise. He introduced himself and gave me a card.  I believe he is interested in doing business, and concerned with doing a professional job hoping to generate more business. His company can do many other things. I 
kept the card.

I had a variety of issues that he pointed out. He fixed a down spout. He was supposed to give me an estimate on future work but did not get back with me. However, he was very nice and seemed very knowledgeable. I have a very old roof and he could have tried to upsell me but he did not do that. He fixed some leaks and my down spout.

Angie's list is new for me. I am disappointed in this experience.

They have been inundated by the Angies list Big deal coupon and have
had a hard time keeping up with demand.  I finally got them to the house
and spoke to Mr Nash Sr.  What a wonderful guy.  I'm willing to give
them the benefit of the doubt regarding the follow up.  These big deals
seem to always bite contractors in the butt.  They were personable and
professional.  I'd use them again.

Asked them for a quote for some other work as well.  They do roofing, general carpentry etc.  Not just gutters.  Good bunch of guys.

The roof inspection was never done.

Not too many details.  Father and son came with workers to repair the roof.  I had been given an estimate well beforehand and some understanding of what they would do.

DONE WELL AND PROFESSIONALLY.

I have no complaints at all about the work that was done. It looks good and has resolved the leak we were experiencing. The issue of the inspection which we purchased as a Big Deal I wasn't as pleased with. After much delay and back-and-forth, someone came out and looked from the inside our our attic at the roof and the leak. They were meant to come back to examine the roof from the top. The inspector agreed with our assessment that the flashing needed to be replaced. The inspection report ended up saying there was a leak at the chimney and the flashing needed to be repaired, which was what we'd already said and known--not a full report on things which were not obvious to us. Our whole purpose in having the inspection was to reveal other potential problems on our roof.
Later we got a very reasonable quote for the work (along with the promised discount from the Big Deal) and we said to please go ahead with that work. Of course it's hard to schedule roofing work in the winter/early spring so we expected delays and there were certainly many. There were also times that they tried to come do the work but needed electrical access outside and we could not make provision for that since we'd already be off at work, etc.
When the work was actually completed, it looked good and has fixed the problem. I had pressured them to complete the on roof part of the inspection while they were there and they said it all looked good. I suppose that's possible, but given some other signals that installation of our roof may not have been done with the highest professional standards, we are a little doubtful...

Inspected the roof and explained in detail any problems with the roof on 4/20/13.  Emailed detail of inspection report with pictures on 5/22.  Requested quote for repairs or replacement of entire roof on 5/28.  Have not received quote as yet.

I was supposed to get a roof inspection with a written report for $50 through an Angie's List Big Deal.  I reached Jeremiah Nash, the of Nash & Sons.  The inspection was scheduled for a Monday.  I know for a fact that he never showed up, because I was at home all day.  No excuse was ever given and no report was ever sent subsequently.
I left phone messages for him, but Jeremiah never returned my call.  Reading other reviews, I see that this seems to be common with him.  Completely useless.  Grade F.

There was a misunderstanding.  Service provider's was expecting to hear from customers by email (not phone).  I was contacted the day after I submitted the review with an apology.  Shortly after the call, my gutters were cleaned and they removed a birds nest that was clogging the downspout.  Also repaired a hole in the fascia board with lead flashing made by sqirrels trying to get into the house.  I'm very happy with the job!

This is a revised report.  Previously, I said I had not received a written report from Mr. Nash.  This was not the case.  He sent the report to me the very next day, but it was sent to my SPAM folder, so I never saw it.  I have no complaints whatsoever.  I will use them in the future when needed and have recommended them to my neighbors.  Both gentlemen went far above and beyond the job description and were very polite and professional!  Thank you!

Inspection was thorough, clearly explained (in person; less so in written report).  Answered my questions and suggested services relevant to his observations and my questions.  Was not pushy at all--this did not come across as a "fishing expedition".  I am currently awaiting an appointment for work I've requested as a result of this inspection.
Scheduling was a breeze.  Day and time I asked for.  However, Jeremiah wasn't able to come when he expected he would, so it was later in the day that he ended up coming.  Not a problem.

Nash has done the inspection for us, and we are waiting for the actual fix.

Had Michael F Nash & Sons Inc inspect roof area that we had questions about installing solar panels on. They took photos and gave me a PDF report in detail of what needs to be done. Very happy with the service they provided. Looking at getting the complete roof replaced.

Nice, professional job. Very nice people to deal with who are serious about their work.

I bought the Angies List promotion.  After reading some of the recent reviews, I realized I had a similar experience as many others. 
Here is the timeline
02/27: Nash and Sons came to our house for a roof inspection
03/05: sent email requesting a report on the inspection. Received a reply that I would get the report tomorrow (03/06)
03/12: sent follow up email asking for inspection report. Received an email reply apoligizing for the delay
03/14: Received inspection 
I asked some follow up questions on email, such as what the would be an estimate of the costs to make repairs. We exchanged several calls but were never able to touch base.
