A true pleasure to deal with. Kept us informed, arrived on time, did high quality work and came in slightly under the initial estimate.

It went great. I contacted Shawn, who was honest about his availability to perform the work. I texted him a picture of where the leak was, and he knew exactly what he needed. The tub clean-out was in a very tough to reach spot in the ceiling. With my permission, he carefully removed part of the wooden soffit without damaging anything. It's important to note that other plumbers told me the whole soffit would have to come down and be rebuilt. He explained the whole process to after he was finished. The price was very fair. He was able to come out a week sooner than he originally thought and at a convenient time for me. I highly recommend Shawn's Plumbing.

Shawn is very knowledgeable, courteous and honest. He made great suggestions during his estimate, advising us against an expensive installation of water pressure-activated sump pump ? apparently, water pressure powered pumps are prone to failure ? and offering us a reasonable price for the work he did perform, which was executed in a timely and professional manner. I'd recommend Shawn's services without hesitation.

I initially contacted Shawn to help with a low hot-water flow situation after personally installing a new kitchen faucet.  He answered my Angie's list inquiry within 10 minutes, and we spoke on the phone within the hour.  After explaining the problem, Shawn agreed with my suspicion that the hot water shut off under the sink needed to be replaced, and we made an appointment for the following day.
Shawn arrived right on time, and I was very impressed that instead of going forward with the valve replacement, he first ran a series of diagnostic tests which revealed that the true culprit was a deteriorated gasket in the main pressure control valve.  Sure enough, upon clearing the hot water pipe under the sink, chunks of rubber gasket that had been stuck at the under-sink valve were dislodged and water flow resumed normally.  Shawn also checked and cleared small rubber pieces from the other fixtures in the house.  He suspected that our recent bathroom remodeling, and the frequent on/off at the main valve had proven too much for the 30+ y/o rubber gasket. 
We made plans for him to come back to replace the main PCV the next week.  The total for both visits was $300.
While he was at the house, I mentioned another issue with regard to hot water running out.  Our current water boiler was nearing 14 years of age.  Shawn suggested a new boiler, and highly recommended the SSU Superstore 45 Stainless Steel unit, citing it's high efficiency and lifetime warranty.  We scheduled the new boiler installation which Shawn completed in just a few hours, using high quality materials and brass pipes.  He also removed the old water boiler.  This job cost $3,250, which was $150 less than Shawn quoted.
I found Shawn to be extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional.  Without reservation, he will be our go-to contact for all future plumbing needs!

Shawn is awesome. We had a nightmare of a situation over the course of a month which eventually led to us replacing our hot water heater. Shawn was there every step of the way to explain in detail to us the problem and solutions. He not only answered his phone every time we called, he also came out to our house within a day of each issue.
Shawn is very dedicated to his work and to doing a good job. He will take the extra steps to make sure everything is functioning well.

Shawn provided excellent Service and I highly recommend him. I called him at night with a leaking water heater emergency and, even though I did not have a prior business relationship with him, he responded promptly. He talked me through shutting off the water heater and came over the next day to assess the situation. He replaced the water heater the next day and while he was at my place, he noticed another leaking pipe and he went out to get the required parts and repalced the leaking pipe too. In addition, he corrected  some poor plumbing workmanship left behind by some previous workmen. I would definitely call on Shawn again for any other plumbing work that may come up.

sMy hot water heater began leaking the week of the service.  I knew it was time to replace it as it was old.  I contacted two contractor to get estimates.  Shawn replied right away and in fact was at my house within 30 minutes.  His estimate was a hundred dollars cheaper than the other contractor.  The difference only being a hundred dollars wasn't the selling point, it was the fact that he seemed more knowledgeable about the issue, and what my options were.  Once I made the decision (that same day), he was able to have the job completed that very day.  His work was thorough and left my basement neat and clean.  Great service!

He was really professional. He gave me details about the issue and his resolution. The problem was resolved at the same day and no problem since then. 

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Shawn!  We recently purchased and older home with some large problems to address.  However, we weren't prepared for our heat and hot water to go out during this last snow storm...Shawn went ABOVE and BEYOND for us...incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful.  He was able to address our immediate concerns as well as help us plan for the future.  He was super responsive and made us feel as if he wanted to fix our problems as much as we wanted them fixed.  We will be calling on Shawn in the future...for sure!

Shawn's knowledge and experience helped me to make the right decision; His patience and advice helped me decide for best solution for my situation and i was very thankful for his communication, responsiveness and openness. He will lead you, present all options and be straighforward about PROS and CONS.. Job took about 8 hours or so and Shawn went above his required task to improve my installations that were in terrible shape!! He took extra time to clean up Electric water mess and extra time to improve existing furnace installation which was out of his work scope! He didnt ask for higher price but he wanted to do the best job possible and ensure my family has best and safest solution. We cannot be happier with outcome and end result. Excellent.  Shawn is a real professional. Prompt, knowledgable, and does an excellent job.  He also helped with the plumbing needed for a washer dryer install before this project (again we had a problem with a stuck valve) and he went above and beyond helping us with the install. Will definitely use Shawn again in the future.

Called me back the same day I left the message.  Scheduled a visit within 2 days to estimate the new faucet project.  Arrived on time.  Gave an estimate that I thought was fair. Next I showed him the leaking toilet, & he quickly diagnosed an error the original installer had made, and knew how to fix it.  Said he would do it the same time as the faucet.
Made a date to do the work just 2 days later.   Arrived on time with the necessary materials.  .Did the work in the time he estimated it would take.  Everything works and looks good.  Cost was as estimated.  He called back the following day to make sure I was happy.  We would use Shawn again with no hesitation.

I called Shawn because we were having some issues with water pressure and quality.  He picked up the phone right away and came out for an assessment a few days later when it was convenient for me. He showed up on time and was very knowledgeable and thorough as he walked me through the system. He identified the problem and was refreshingly easy to talk to as he went through different options with me. He wrote up an estimate promptly and again worked around my schedule to set up a time to do the work. He was professional, worked efficiently and took the time to show me a few things so that I am better educated. There was one small issue afterwards which he came and fixed right away on a Saturday morning; then he followed up with me later on his own accord to make sure everything was still working properly!  Shawn cares about his work and will put in the extra effort. He is already scheduled to work on a few more things for me and I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family.

Shawn came the day we contacted him to fix a pipe in our basement from a recent slow drain issue.  He installed a different style pipe which made more sense.  He came back later that week to disconnect a stove and returned the following day to reconnect the new stove and installed a waterline for a new refrigerator.
He was very professional and friendly and we are very pleased with his work.  We are considering using him when we have a new hot water tank installed.

the hot water at my new home was lukewarm, so I called Sean to diagnose thinking that I was going to have to make a huge investment on a new tankless hot water heater. Sean was able to figure out that the reason for the lukewarm shower water was from the mix and the volume of cold water coming into the house was overpowering the hot. Sean was able to take the existing improperly installed flow valve and replace in the correct area fixing the problem. He also fixed running toilets, a loose flange and some other plumbing odds and ends. Long story short I still have some life left in my hot water system thanks to Sean and I didn't have to shell out $2500 for a new one. He is also very responsive and great will follow up.

We are still in process but the first parts of the work have gone very well.

Shawn is a nice guy who does good work. He came on short notice to replace our hot water heater when it went down. The only problem was that he assured me that he would file the permit with the town clerk and charged me for it. I only found out three months later that it was never done. I called Shawn and told him about the situation, and he said he would check into it and call me back. I never heard from him again. Despite the good quality of the work and service, the D on professionalism above is for charging me for a service (the issuing of the permit) that he never provided and for not following through when informed of the oversight.
