I like their total honesty, trust worthiness, superior quality of work, professionalism, price, expertise in cars and other foreign car and availability. This one guy is a gem of the human being because he is honest and trustworthy. He never tried to scam anybody. He is always looking for parts that he can get if the car is not on warranty. He will forgo repairs that he feels are not necessary. His honesty and integrity is above reproach.

front pads and rotors replaced
issue with sticking brakes was diagnosed as possible corroded rear brake hardware - replaced hardware "kit"
problem with sticking brakes is better, though not completely resolved
consulted with things to try if problem persists
tried those strategies, and identified which wheel is sticking
one wheel became loose 35 miles after service! This was attributed by mechanic to corrosion on hub, for which this car (Saab 9-5) is known to have a problem
problem was averted by my intervention (tightening bolts with jack lug wrench on road)

I found MVSC on Angie's List after searching the area for certified Saab mechanics. I called and spoke with the mechanic, Rosario, and explained the problem. He made time for me to come in immediately and obtained at the error codes from the onboard computer. He explained that there were several codes but that it made sense to look at the valve pressure code first as solving that issue may void the other codes. I was pleased that he approached the problem methodically and economically. He found that the valve pressure problem was caused by a broken seal. As the car is 11 years old and parts are no longer readily available. He suggested re-sealing with a strong adhesive to see if it held up. He also suggested monitoring the check engine light to see if the other problems cleared in the next few days. I also had him perform an oil change with synthetic oil. He charged me $50 to repair the seal and $62.50 for the oil change. I was very pleased with his straightforwardness and will definitely use his service in the future.

With over 30 years of auto repair experience, the professionalism and quick response to my needs was overwhelming. I returned again in March for a separate minor repair that took less than 10 minutes. Very hard to find reputable, honest mechanics with a great sense of humor. Very pleasant experience that will make me a repeat customer.

The owner and the predecessor have been working on my cars for the last 30 years. The guy who owns it now is one of the founders. The 2 original founders were the service manager and a mechanic at Central Saab in St. Lawrence, which ran out of business. They went out on their own when Central Saab essentially sold their franchise. I have known Rosy and she has been working on my cars for almost 30 years. He didn't charge me anything because it was quick and I have been their customer for 30 years.
