Superb job, awesome experience – highly recommend them! We bought our house in 2013 and experienced the worst winter ever with ice dams and roof issues. I did my best to remediate the issue but we really needed a new roof and better attic insulation. I consulted several different roofing companies that had all these new-fangled materials but the concept was simple and the costs the other vendors came back with was exorbitant. John (the owner) came out and explained the cause of ice dams and although I wanted to ice and water shield the whole roof he advised that moister would get trapped and 6” was sufficient. He was a straight shooter which I appreciated and spoke in language I could understand. We originally planned to start the project in the Spring of ’17 but we didn’t have the capital and asked if we could push it until Fall. They said that was fine and since it had been over 1 yr. since estimate honored the original quote. Troy (guy who does it all) came to access the roof to firm up the project and suggested we remove the cedar shake overhang and install shadow boards all along the edge for a tighter look. Even though the materials were more, they still honored the original estimate. The work started the Monday before Thanksgiving ‘17 and the roofers were prompt, polite, clean and worked extremely hard. Troy was there making sure they understood the scope running between multiple projects. They completed the work in 2 days (2 hard worked day) and the house looks phenomenal. Troy’s advice of installing the shadow board gave the house a beautiful tight new look for the style house we own. After inspecting it the next day, I noticed one thing was over looked which was two rain diverters over the front and back door (we don’t have gutters). We could have done this work easily ourselves but brought it up in conversation (Btw.. this was out of the scope too.) They had already been paid and working with other contractors, once they get paid they are on to the next project but sure enough the next day they showed up with two guys to install the diverters. The experience was awesome and truly appreciate the craftsmanship and aesthetics of our new roof. Fantastic job all the way around.

We very highly recommend All Under One Roof. My husband and I had several companies provide us with estimates for replacing our 30+ year old roof and John was the clear choice. He was very knowledgeable and willing to spend the time with us explaining options and recommendations and answering our many questions. He was also able to provide us with new gutters and a new skylight – which the other firms were not able to do. His price was very reasonable for all of the work that was done. Troy followed up very promptly after John’s visit with a quote and was very responsive to our additional questions. The work itself is beautiful – and the area around our house was kept very neat and clean during the 3 day process. They even took great care not to harm the flowers on our deck. I had some ice damage on the roof. They were very prompt and found the problem right away. They fixed the damage within about 45 minutes and the problem was solved. I haven't had an issue with the roof since then. I would use them again and recommend their service.

Fantastic experience working with All Under One Roof and John, Trevor and crew on my roof replacement! John took the time to review all the options and the relative value of the choices in materials and installation. He is a really honest and decent man who really cares about the welfare of his customers. With his expert advice, I chose to invest in the industry best materials to better insure against ice damage in New England. The difference in cost was surprising little and was definitely a good investment for the long haul. The project started on time and the crew was excellent. Over the 2 day period, they were hard-working, respectful of the property, professional despite the hot weather and difficult working conditions, and showed up on time each day. A couple days before the project, a dumpster was dropped off and picked up a couple days afterward. After the project, the property was clean and almost completely debris free, which is completely amazing given the job. Occasionally, I have found a roofing nail or two hidden in a planter. But that is not surprising with a project of that magnitude and much much better than expected. The crew really cares about doing a great job for the customer and it shows. Towards the end of the project, as the crew was installing the final parts of the roof, John noticed that my back deck was drooping. It was just over 10 years old and the footings had sunk in the ground more than 3 inches over the years. While he was waiting, he offered to help. The next thing I knew he had jacked up the deck with a car jack and put spacers underneath. Now my deck is level and it's been such space this summer, thanks to John. Overall, it was a great experience working with All Under One Roof and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their services.

My husband called several roofers for estimates and we are so happy that we went with All Under One Roof. John was the most knowledgeable, professional, and fairly priced out of all the companies we contacted. Troy also was a pleasure to work with and he was so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process as well. The crew was hardworking, efficient, and polite. The home and landscaping was well protected with tarps to prevent damage during the installation. The clean-up was immaculate with the removal of all work debris. The end result of the new roof is beautiful. During the installation of the roof, an issue arose that was not a reflection of their work – and both the owner and Troy went above and beyond our expectations to resolve it. Their integrity, honesty, workmanship and commitment is reason alone to go with this company. If this same unforeseen obstacle arose with an inferior roofing company, it would have not been resolved in the manner that these professionals did. The crew showed up on time (7am) worked hard and were done by 3:00! Stripped the old shingles off put on ice guard and a winter wrap. They cleaned up protected the house and left everything so clean it was hard to tell they were ever here. I called several roofers and Troy and John were the most professional fairest pricing and provide full descriptions of work and warranty they provide. None of the other companies went nearly to this depth and one even said they would just shingle over the old (never a good idea). The the company, crew was polite and considerate, local guys and gal. Amazing! Troy returned our call right away, came to our home with John, the owner, to give us an estimate and explain in detail everything they would do. . We were so pleased with their presentation that we didn't bother calling for other estimates. They are both very knowledgable and professional.
We asked them if they could start the job on April 11, and they agreed. We had a couple of days of bad weather, but they started immediately when the weather cleared. Their crew was wonderful. They finished the job in two days...starting early and working late.
We would highly recommend them ....they are also General contractors and are overseeing other jobs for us.
They return calls right away, and are here when they say they will be!

From the initial visit John and Troy were true professionals! They were very knowledgeable about roofing in general and answered the many questions I had. Troy was great in explaining the many options between the different types and levels of products and services they offered. About a week before the job started I received a call from John letting me know when the job was expected to start. The roofing materials were delivered the day before and the job started on time the following day. The dumpster arrived shortly before the work crew and they promptly began stripping the roof. The work crew was very professional and respectful of the landscaping around the house. They took extra care to move potted plants, kids toys, etc. out of the way prior to prepping the area. Each work area was draped with giant tarps which collected the debris which they promptly disposed of in the dumpster. It was a two day job, and the new roof was completed on time. The work crew was very diligent in removing all debris (shingles, nails, excess materials) from my driveway and landscaping. I didn't find a single nail in the driveway! The dumpster was promptly removed the day after the work was complete.
Overall, I would recommend All Under One Roof for your roofing needs. I'm glad I went with them for the following reasons:
- Knowledge about the roofing process
- Price wasn't the cheapest or most expensive. However, the quality of service, materials, and warranty set them apart from others
- Very professional and respectful work crew
- Level of cleanup exceeded my expectations
- Communication with Troy (foreman) was excellent. He's very responsive, answered questions via text, phone and email.

They explained in detail to me why installation of existing roof failed. They showed me detailed comparisons of all bidders specs and the reason for different estimates. I was was sold by all the time and effort they took to work with me. The clincher was their integrity, honesty and approach. It was important to them that I would be happy if they did the job . There crew was the most professional, courteous and respectful I have ever had in my yard. The owner came by many times unannounced and inspected everything. I have had 2 very minor situations and they addressed them "no charge". The second one was this week. As soon as I called they were scheduling to get on the roof and re-mediate. I have never left feedback - ever- on anything, yet I find myself 2 years later extremely happy with their quality of product and personnel. To Troy and the gang- thank you. I will keep you on speed dial!

Generally speaking this company seems OK.
However they refused to repair or replace the rotten rake board and trim board. And it sounds they charge a lot to do this next year.
I understand they are very busy these days, however after talking with 3 other professionals, they all can do this repair. It is only all under one roof which is not willing do this. I feel that all under one roof just do not want to do my business.
I am wondering what if some defects are discovered after tearing off the roof? Are they going to repair it or ignore it?
This is very disappointing. They forgot that the best company is the ones who understand customer's need. If you refuse customer when business is good, customer will refuse you when business is bad.
I will not spend $7000 without repair these and I do not want to stay another winter to suffer the potential problem again. My rating is purely based on comparison with other professionals, there are factors:
Professional A: $X per linear feet to replace the board+trim. To cut 2 foot at four corners will cost around $60. Primed wood, no paint.
Professional B: $X per linear feet to replace the whole board to PVC board, not including trim.
Professional C: $1X per linear feet to replace the board + trim. If it is small area, they can paint it with paint supplied from me. .
Leaving the price part, all other professionals are able to do rake board repair work. My rating on you is low basically because you do not understand customer`s pain and you can not provide one of services like other professionals. My rating has nothing to do with your job quality since I was not served, thus no comment.

"Dear valued homeowners, in response to this review I would have to whole heartedly disagree with this particular homeowners' opinion. We are a smaller general contracting/roofing company that has been around since 1974. We are completely dedicated to quality craftsmanship and customer service. I really don't think this homeowner understands how hard this industry is and how detrimental a "C" rating can be to a company such as ours. This homeowner reached out to us for a full roof replacement. I responded that day within a few hours. An appointment was set. The estimate went well. There was no mention of any carpentry involved on the project in the first place. After the homeowner received the original estimate...he contacted me thanking me for the responsiveness....he stated that he was impressed with the estimate process and really wanted to work with my company but he had bids that were lower. We work on certain protocols for profit margins that are very tight especially trying to survive in progress in such a volatile industry. Even under those circumstances I agreed to lower the total cost by $200.00 and was going to add in another service of cutting all new lead flashing into the chimney at no additional cost. I also added a 20 year extended MFG warranty for no additional cost. After all this is when I received a request from the homeowner about possibly replacing some trim boards. I told him to cut out the bad areas(not fully replacing) it would be a couple hundred dollars...not a" large amount". Honestly...this is something that we are completely capable of and do a lot...but at this time of year and coming off one of the worst winters we have had...I have an extensive backlog and as a company we made the decision not to take on any more remodeling or carpentry work. I need to concentrate on the jobs and homeowners that I am already contracted with earlier in the year. I explained this to the homeowner and he actually stated to me that he might be willing to hold off and do the project next year in the Spring. I told him that would be great and I could definitely do the roof along with the carpentry...I also stated that I would even hold his pricing even though I know there will be a material increase. Also, the implication of us leaving or ignoring any compromised areas is insulting and ludicrous! I quote directly from my proposal Line#3 "Inspect and re-nail any loose or lifted plywood. Any compromised plywood WILL be replaced at an additional cost of$---- per sheet of 1/2" CDX Fir plywood." This is part of my protocol on any and every project I am involved with. There is a reason why we have been in business this long...are a A+ rated member of the Accredited BBB for the last 15 years and are a multiple consecutive Angie's list Super Service award winning company. Simply we do things the right way!! After the homeowner told me that he was possibly thinking on holding and waiting for me next year I didn't hear from him for a few days and then received another email stating that other contractors were willing to do the carpentry work and the roof this year. I told him that sometimes homeowners and contractors don't match up sometimes for whatever reason...IE price, relationship, scheduling , job scope etc. Then wished him the best of luck on his project. I didn't receive any response from the last email so I figured it was done and we were both moving on. Then I receive this disheartening review. To all the Angie's List homeowners out there...I truly believe that this review was complete unwarranted and un called for and hopefully anyone who reads it at least takes the time to try to understand where I'm coming from. John, Troy, and the team from All Under One Roof are excellent. We are very happy with the outcome of the work and got compliments from all the neighbors about how much of an improvement it was for the curb appeal of our house. During the quote process John and Troy's attention to detail was great and they pointed out things that needed to be done that other contractors didn't - such as replacing the gutters to look "new" along with the siding - so there were no hidden surprises in the project cost. The team worked in a professional manner, and were all nice guys who were on time each day and did their best to not disrupt our day to day lives. The project finished on time and at exactly the cost John and Troy quoted, and we are very happy with the work, so we would recommend All Under One Roof without reservations.

Troy was in touch with me and gave me a 1-2 week heads up before the project started. The Friday before the start, all the roofing materials were delivered and set off the driveway on 2 pallets. Work started the next Monday, and John and his crew arrived at 7:30 PM sharp in a caravan of cars and trucks. It was due to be a very warm day - unusual for so early in May, so the guys decided to work stripping and replacing the front side of our 2-story colonial roof and attached 2-car garage. At this point, I had gone back and forth with Troy and John numerous times, and felt so comfortable I just went to work leaving my wife to fill me in on any issues. As expected, there were none.
As John stated when he arrived, the guys were all self-sufficient...no need to enter our house or use any facilities while they were there. They were extremely polite and respectful, and my wife felt at ease being at home with all of these men working around her. She told me that they worked quickly and efficiently, with 3-4 guys up on the roof shingling and 2-3 down on the ground cleaning up. They worked until about 2 PM and then called it a day due to the heat. Of course, when I arrived home a dumpster had been delivered and been put on wood beams on one side of our driveway, and aside from the sign in the front yard it was hard to tell there was a construction project going on.
The crew came back the next day to finish the job, led by Frank, and again went to work on the back side of the roof, completing things the same as the day before. Because we didn't really need gutters, John agreed to put rain diverters on the roof just above our outside entry doors; Troy came back and did this on his own 2 days later. In the end, the roof came out looking great and the yard was clean - I only found 1 or 2 nails and a few small roofing product wrappers. Again, aside from their sign out in the front yard, you couldn't have guessed we had a major construction project going on.
I highly recommend the work that All Under One Roof did for us. When your spending that amount of money to do a once or twice in a lifetime project that is important in protecting your home, there is some anxiousness involved. Not so with John and Troy - both are very friendly, down-to-earth, and great guys. We trusted them and felt we were going to get a great roof at a fair price, and that it would be done right. That was all very true. I am the type that usually ride contractors and want to be around to make sure that things are done right - there was no feeling or need that I had to do that with them.
Again, give these guys a call and a chance to bid on your job. They use a great product with a terrific warranty (Certain Teed), they install it right, it looks great, and most of all you will have peace of mind in trusting them with and around your home. Thanks again guys, we'd be happy to have you back to work on any future projects!
