After being stiffed by a Cape Cod company for two rooms, a closet where they removed wall paper and a crew of 5 people (they didn't even finish book cases, and other finess), we called Fernandes pro services. They were willing to head out to the Cape to finish some areas. We brought them in for 5 rooms and wound up doing the entire interior for our home. The quality and cleanliness within reason, professionalism and the joy they have in their workmanship is astonishing. The owner, Vinicius and his sidekick Diego are disarmingly young with a pride in their work and work ethics that are rarely found. They know their work, they are artists that work with joy, smiles, politeness, completeness. No detail escapes them. Don't even look elsewhere. You want these trustworthy men in your home making it sparkling perfect! I have to edit my review after Vinicius texted me to lay me out in lavender and tell me off as a customer - so let's tell the story, because the company has a LOT to offer and learn, and my tips for the consumer should help in the comms. Vinicius has completed the outside of our Hudson home and had no problems coming back to fix "dings". They also fix wood rot, and make things pretty again! Impressive for young professionals. Check out the work on the outdoors on one property - GORGEOUS! Then we had a MASSIVE job on the inside with 2 crews - a flooring and the paining - both companies were TOLD about the situation and AGREED to the job nonetheless, but this is where some things went south. 5+ Stars for the CEILING! Take a look at my FAVORITE part of the job - the false ceiling - GORGEOUS! Check out photos of the new floor WITH the paint job. Incredibly different than the pre-work. They took a dingy false ceiling the previous owners had put in, and made it look like a million bucks!
Home reno's are VERY taxing on homeowners. While interviewing Olinsky Construction in Hudson (fantastic company), they were walking us through how stressful it is for homeowners and how critical having open comms and not taking personally a stressed homeowner is really critical to the business. There's always a catch when you are dealing with big projects - pride, and inexperience can get in the way. Ours was a very 2 teams simultaneously going situation that was really stressing. I strongly recommend to avoid miscommunications put expectations in writing - email or contract, not text. As a new and young company, there is some training involved, so take it to heart and make expectations clear upfront, and if you need to lose your cool, breath into a paper bag! Vinicius takes learning to heart, is learning that it is a stressful process and is willing to learn and train his people. So don't let his and his team's youth detract from the beautiful work they do.
These kinds of projects are dirty and time consuming, and when on a time crunch, it's more than understanding that homeowners will get stressed! It's ok - you won't have to question the results with this team, Fernandes offers a satisfaction guaranteed for the job. He has equipment that minimizes dust factor, but like all construction jobs, it's not dust free. Strongly encourage you have a "post reno" cleaning crew on hand to help clean up. They will tape up windows, and try to cover up as best possible, but there is no way to avoid construction mess. It's impossible, and no contractor can guarantee you a "dust free" job. They can guarantee to create less particulates than a regular sand by hand job. All in all, the work is beautiful, and if you keep you head cool, and your expectations clear and in writing, you will be stunned and amazed by your results! HIGHLY recommended! Check mine out!
