Our experience with Jack and his team was great from start to finish. Jack is extremely knowledgeable about all things electrical and had several great suggestions for us along the way. His team showed up on time every day and got tons accomplished each day. We were amazed at what they were able to do in five days!

We coordinated everything through Jack. We found him to be very responsive and receptive. We were very pleased with all their work. Our house really did look better when they were done. The recessed lights came out great, better than I'd hoped. They took care of getting the electrical permit and having their work inspected.

I was also impressed that Jack called me a few days after the work was completed to find out if everything was okay and ask if we were satisfied with all their work and was there anything else we needed or that they could do. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician and would definitely have them back to do more work in the future.

I set up an appointment to have the work done. I was supposed to receive an estimate beforehand, and I did not. They sent someone out to do the work. We had an early appointment, and the service representative showed up late, however he did call to tell me. After assessing how much the work would cost, he determined that the total price be $475. This includes a bracket, a fee to get a permit to do the work, and also to have adjustments made to my circuit breaker. This turned out to be way more than I was intending on spending to just have my TV mounted. I decided to not have the work done.

They answered me right away. They send out one person, some of them send two people and you need to pay for two people. He was here basically right on time and cleaned up after themselves and they were good. I had a problem which may have been partially my fault. I had got a fan that was too big for the space. When I read him all the dimension they thought it would fit. So they could not do it that day. They could do only one of them. I take partial responsibility for that. I read all the measurement that was outside of the box but I also measured something else wrong. Price wise they were little higher than the others and $75 an hour is what I normally pay. Quality wise they were excellent. I will use them in the future.

I purchased the Angie's Deal and expected to wait weeks for an appointment (I had a problem with that on a prior deal). I called and was promptly slotted for service. I received confirmation emails and calls. The appointment was within an hour window -- not a morning or afternoon. Mike -- the electrician -- called as he was on the way. He wore booties on his shoes (even though I said it was not needed) and cleaned up everything. The work was done promptly and well. He made recommendations for some other changes I asked about but was not pushy with the sale. I would DEFINITELY use this company again.

I was adding a new bathroom and needed a licensed electrician to add a circuit. For work reasons, I could only meet with a representative on the weekend. John himself came out to the house and gave me a quote on the spot. I asked a bunch of questions about permitting and he talked me through the whole process of permitting and inspections. His guys showed up when they were supposed do, did the work they were supposed to, and took care of everything they said they would. After working with several contractors on this project, these guys were outstanding compared to the rest. I would definitely use them again. No drama here, they just did a great job!

I called because of the deal offered through Angie's list - I was originally looking for an assessment on what could be accomplished with lighting in two areas that don't receive a lot of light. The office staff asked me to send pictures of the areas and encouraged me to go out and purchase the fixtures I wanted installed. I wasn't thrilled with the selection at the local store but made a late night run to go buy the fixtures. (which ended up getting returned the next day anyway)

Mike stopped by the next day and took the time to explain to me what could and could not be done in the areas I wanted - he performed some initial exploratory work in the ceilings and found that the fixtures I had purchased would not fit. I greatly appreciated that he took the time to actually listen to what I really wanted and was able to devise a plan on what fixtures would work with the ceiling clearance I had (with ductwork running extensively through out the ceiling) Mike had some great ideas and his expertise was evident. He indicated that the work would take 2 days and when I indicated that I wanted to scale back some of the work, he was more than happy to work with me to make the changes.

Mike showed up the following week with another electrician to assist on the ceiling work and both of them went promptly to work, . Mike took great care to cover my kitchen and living room items as the plaster and insulation dust exposed by the work would have made a huge mess. After day 1, he cleaned up the work areas completely (and left it in a cleaner state than it started that day!)

Day 2 Mike arrived promptly and continued the work, being meticulous about covering everything up again and finishing up the wiring. I came down midway through the progress and I have to say that the work he did was amazing. The lighting really made a huge difference in the area that was completed. Mike took the time to explain the small changes he made to the original plan and let me know that things were progressing well. He also installed the whole house surge suppressor and changed a GFCI that had been giving me problems since I had moved in.

I'm incredibly happy with the completed work Mike did. The mess after the work was non -existent, except for some dust in a few places and day 2 was during a very strong rainstorm - so the fact that the house was that clean was pretty amazing. The ceiling work was great - only two small holes need to be painted and he even removed some screws left in the ceiling from previous fixtures.

Overall, I am very happy with JP McCurdy and especially with their electrician Mike. I have some other electrical work that needs to be done in the future and I intend on calling them for the next projects.

The electrician that came to my home was punctual, professional and knowledgeable. He was also able to give me some estimates for other work I have been considering (under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen and a whole house surge protector). I am very happy with the work and will definitely call them again.

I was very satisfied by the work. I had an Angie's List Big Deal, and it was accepted with no problems, and the work I wanted to be done was finished within the two hour time slot. The technician was very knowledgeable about old houses, and immediately recognized and addressed the issues that kept us from installing the fixtures ourselves. I would be happy to use this company again for electrical needs.

I was very pleased with the work. i asked for workman who were experienced with old houses and that's exactly who they sent. The job di run over estimate, but that was because I added some things along the way. The price was very fair (not exactly a bargain) but the work was excellent!

They are still working. Now my brother has hired them too. He is also happy with their work. They are neat. Trust worthy guys who come to work. The owner John has a lot of smart ideas when it comes to your home and knows who to call if you need a handy man Plummer ect. And he makes all the calls. I am very happy with them.

It was fine. They show up when they promised. They stand behind there work. The guys are every professional. One time they ddn't sho up on time. They called back apologized and took care of it.

They came out. They were very courteous and very polite. They are polished. The estimate was good. When the job was being performed Mr McCurdy showed up to supervise. All the people that you interact with from the receptionist to the estimator to the person who did the work were courteous and polite people. They were very neat and clean in the work they did. They did a very good job. Hey had to run a line on the outside of the house because of the age of our house. The way it was done you really can't tell. It was put in neatly. We were very pleased. I also like that they send e-mails occasionally on electrical updates.

It is excellent. They always come when they have agreed to. They will come that day or the next day if something doesn't seem to be up and running yet. They are always courteous.

J.P. McCurdy arrived on time, worked hard, and did a great job. They did everything on time and cleaned up after themselves. They made only 2 holes and everything turned out gorgeous.

I have used McCurdy before to install a ceiling fan and was very happy with their conduct and service both then and now. The work this time took two days- they were a little late arriving each day (1.5 hrs) due to another job running late. Their electrician, Bill, was hard-working, efficient, and professional. I'm not sure that I got such a good deal price wise, but the work exceeded my expectations, both in the end result and the conduct on site. Very careful and fastidious about cleaning up afterwards. I would recommend them to anyone without exception and would use them again.

I CALLED SEVERAL ELECTRICIANS FOR THIS JOB, AND MR. MCCURDY WAS THE ONLY ONE TO RETURN MY CALL. HE PERFORMED THE JOB ONE DAY AFTER I SPOKE WITH HIM, AND THE QUALITY OF HIS WORK WAS FINE.
