The estimator came out very quickly to provide an estimate. After I accepted the estimate, the workers came to do the work within about a week. So far, everything is fine.

I called, got an estimate, and scheduled a gutter cleaning for the following week. They gave me an automated call the day prior to the cleaning, reminding me to tape my check to the door and turn on the outside water. I came home the next day and the gutters were clean. They left a gutter report in the mailbox, which was useful as our house is new (to us) and we were unsure about the condition of the gutters (they're fine). It rained heavily a few days after the cleaning and our guttersallseem clear and leakproof. It was a very painless transaction and I'll use them again when I need my gutters cleaned.

Company was efficient, showed up on time, performed work thoroughly, and I even got a followup phone call.

N.E. Gutter Kings came highly recommended on Angie's List, so I went with them for my first gutter cleaning at my new house. I submitted a request for information via the website and received a phone call within a few hours, and I was given an estimate. I got an automated call the very next day that my cleaning job was scheduled for the following day. It was so quick and painless! I turned on the water to my two outdoor faucets and left the check taped to the front door before I left for work. N.E. Gutter Kings came during the day, as promised. I don't have a ladder yet, but I was able to inspect one low hanging gutter and it was free of leaves and debris. There were some leaves on the ground all around the gutters, but most of the debris were neatly bagged in a trash bag placed next to the garage. They definitely lived up to their "no mess" guarantee! With the invoice, they leave a "report card" showing the condition of your gutters in several areas: Gutter, corners, end caps, outlets, fascia boards, downspout, downspout extensions. All were marked "good". They also say whether they recommend your gutters be cleaned multiple times a year ("yes" for my gutters) and whether it needs a tune-up ("no" for mine). I did notice that there was an inch or so of water still in my gutter. They didn't appear to be clogged, it looked like the gutter is sloping the wrong way. They did not notice this, or at least they did not list it in the report. Not a deal breaker by any means, just one small detail they missed. Overall, it was a good experience. A little pricey based on other companies I had researched, (hence the "B" on price), but they lived up to my expectations. If you need your gutters cleaned, you will be happy with New England Gutter Kings.

They were supposed to inspect and clean gutters. I have wood gutters and some of the corners were open and needed to be repaired. which I knew about. The report they left said everything looked good..I also asked them to oil the gutters but not use the linseed oil but a shingle oil which I had. I never knew when they were coming to do the oiling since we were on vacation so they came and used the linseed oil. They bent a ridge vent with their ladder and then called me last week to schedule a cleaning. They were surprised when I said it had already been done. I would reccommend that if you have them do any work be there to watch. .

I contacted NE Gutter Kings regarding an estimate for leaking gutters at my house. I was informed that the estimate was not free, but would be included in the cost of a gutter cleaning. Based on a referral from another contractor, I went ahead with NE Gutter Kings. They promptly returned my phone call and scheduled my work within a few days. A team of two contractors arrived promptly and got right to work. They cleaned the gutters and flushed the downspouts. They also sealed two seams where I had reported leaks. Work was completed quickly. The cost was within a verbal estimate I had received on the phone ($105 for cleaning/inspection + $20 per sealed leak). I am very satisfied with the work performed by NE Gutter Kings. I would call them again.

They did a wonderful job. They were punctual and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend them and would use them again.

Work was performed without the need for us to be home which was convenient. We had experienced a problem for some time with gutters overflowing after medium to heavy rain. After the service call (which was verified via a receipt left in the mail), all appeared well until the next heavy rain and the most problematic gutter once again overflowed. However, to the company's credit, they sent someone out again to check that every gutter and downspout had been cleared (for no charge I might add), and since then, we have had no problems at all. Given we are in Charlestown and the company is based in Lowell, I appreciate the effort taken to provide such customer service. I realize that most gutters will clog eventually, and I would call New England Gutter Kings again if there was a problem.

Outstanding - I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal which I have done many times before (including for gutter cleaning by another company last year). Derek and Paul called me to check in! Companies get a huge number of responses to these Deals and you're often told there will be a delay or be patient. My husband was very concerned about an area that had water pouring out of it...Derek assured me this could just be a clogged gutter. After they came they left a written report (which no one has ever done). Sure enough, the area of concern was just a clogged gutter from debris. They could have told us we needed repairs, part of our system is quite old, but they are really honest! Highly recommended (I wish my doctor's office ran like this company).

I called several different companies for estimates. I got the dog and pony show from several other companies, all of whom gave us outrageous prices or were obviously trying to upsell us on everything. This company was out to our house very quickly to do an estimate, got us the estimate quickly and in writing, responded quickly and made some changes to the estimate when we inquired about doing a few more things. Once the estimate/contract was finalized with the additional work, I sent a check in to them. They called about 8 days later to tell me the crew would be there the next day. They came the following morning and finished the job promptly. It all looks good. When I asked them about another gutter that was constantly overflowing, the worker went up, told me it was clogged and spent 20-30 minutes cleaning it out for us. They did not charge us for this additional work. We havent seen the gutters perform in heavy rain yet, but I watched them install the gutters and they seem to be installed correctly and professionally. The work looks great and they cleaned up well after themselves. We are very happy.

Our experience was horrible. We chose NE Gutter King because we were looking to replace our original half round wooden gutter on our 1946 cape house BUT wanted to retain the original look of our 1946 architecture. Looking at the various gutter options available we did not like the idea of exposed hangers offered by most gutter companies, as we wanted a seamless look in keeping with the original. We found NE Gutter Kings offered a 6 inch half round aluminum gutter with hidden hangers, hence achieving our goal. Bobby came to give us an estimate in a timely fashion. During the walk around I repeatedly checked that the finished gutter would look the same as the original. Bobby repeatedly assured me it would. We had wonderful trim molding under the gutter and again I checked repeatedly that this would not change. My understanding ( and trust me I am a detail person) was that the only difference would be the replacement gutter itself (unless they found rot beneath the existing gutter and would so would need to to replace the fascia). On the work day the guys arrived and found there to be no rot under the gutter. I was shocked however, to see that every piece of finished wood trim had been removed only the bare wood of the original fascia remained and was totally exposed. Large gauges had been taken out of the wood above the gutter. I expressed my concern but the installer told me "not to worry, it would look great when they finished". Not so. The gutter was mounted on the bare un-primed wood that had not seen the light of day since the house was constructed. I was told it would look fine after a coat of paint! All trim was gone - I can't event describe how bad it looked. I was dry mouthed in disbelief at how terrible the house looked. When my husband arrived home that evening he was shocked at how the job had been left, commenting that there were no pictures of the finished work like this in the brochure. He immediately contacted Bobby , who decided the best and most customer focused approach was to argue with my husband telling him that "I explained to your wife how it would look" Yes I guess he did - I would definitely have agreed to every piece of finished trim being ripped off to expose the bones of the house - very aesthetically pleasing. Bobby continually defended the work and it was not until my husband asked if Bobby had actually seen the work and he deferred that he had not. It was at that point he agreed to make an appointment come to the house and see the work with a view to finding a suitable solution to the problem. Bobby however did not come to the appointment but sent Edwin J. Edwin agreed that he could see why we were upset. We agreed to Edwin's suggestion that they paint the fascia with primer and install primed 3 inch crown molding under the gutter - for an additional cost . It is difficult to understand why we had to pay more to rectify the work but we just wanted to resolve the matter, and so we agreed. Now it is less than one year later and guess what - in the last few weeks we have seen the the crown molding under the gutter becoming badly water stained and turning moldy. There is obviously a leakage problem. Checking NE Gutter Kings Guaranty and Conditions we find this wording " water may leak behind the gutter if the roof's drip edge is not extended far enough over the gutter. This condition can only be corrected by installing new drip edge at an additional charge. More money - really? Aside from the fact that we thought we had new drip edge installed with the gutter we do not intend to to employ Gutter King to resolve the problem. The outcome is that we have decide to take our hard earned dollars and research another gutter company to do the work. We have have no confidence in Gutter King.

They were very responsive - the first to respond to me when I was looking for someone. We thought we only needed gutter cleaning but as we just bought the house, we were nervous that someone may try to talk us into wholly new gutters. They were very honest with us and said our gutters were fine, just stopped up. They came out within a week, cleaned the gutters in an hour, and were very efficient, punctual and affordable. Very upfront with us and didn't even need to come take a look before scheduling the work.Will definitely use them again in the future.

There was no problem other than the fact that we received a quote of over 5000 dollars to replace the gutters, when if Rudy would have just gotten up on a ladder to see what the problem was (water overflowing the gutters and streaming down the walls of the house into the cellar), he would have seen that all that was needed was missing flashing from the existing gutter system. The repair was done by someone else (who actually went up a ladder to look) for 90% less. Further to the Provider's Response, I did not ask for an estimate to replace the gutters, I asked for a solution to prevent water from streaming into the basement. I am not an expert on gutter systems and I was hoping that New England Gutter Kings would be able to provide the expertise needed to determine the most cost-effective route to solve the problem, whether it would be a service call or sales call. I would have been happy to pay for a service call, but I did not know I needed one until someone with the expertise was able to point that out. Unfortunately, that was not New England Gutter Kings.

The estimator arrived when he said he would, examined and measured my house, and offered me several options, including several kinds of gutters and gutters with leaf protection. He provided detailed estimates for each of the options. He told me that it was possible that the rotted gutters might have caused rot in the fascia boards behind them, and included estimates for replacing those if necessary. I called them back a few weeks later with my decision to just use basic aluminum gutters, reusing the existing downspouts, and made an appointment for the work, and paid a deposit. The crew arrived on time, removed the old gutters (discovering that there was no rot behind them), and installed the new gutters. The work was done quickly and professionally, with no mess for me to clean up afterwards. I paid the crew when they completed the work. Later, when I examined the invoice, I discovered that I had paid for one of the services they offer but which I did not have performed. I promptly called them, and they agreed that it was an error, and I received a refund check within a week. I was completely satisfied with their service.

They were able to do the work with no one home, and worked from ladders to do the job with minimal risk or damage. In addition to cleaning everything out, they did a full inspection and left a detailed report with the state of everything and any recommendations they had. This was not a way to encourage us to purchase more services or installation of equipment, but was an actual honest inspection report. They responded quickly to email and phone calls, and were incredibly efficient.

Had received an estimate for gutter cleaning and soffit repairs, as well as minor repairs for a porch overhang. After decidin to go with them I called to make an appointment. The person on the phone (I didn't catch his name) was very rude, but made an appointment to come out 7/19. I took the day off from work, however no one showed and we had to make another appointment. They did come out for this appointment on 7/25, however they were only prepared to clean gutters, saying that they were unaware that we had to do work on the soffits, and that the estimate which we received was too low. When they left we tried to make another appointment, however no one returned my calls. We are looking for another contractor to do the work they were supposed to.

Estimation and installation went smoothly and they left no mess. They suggested that I get the additional gutter guards and promised that if they got clogged they would clean them. The gutters were poorly installed, resulting in most of them leaking. Also the gutter guards don't work and the gutters so-equipped routinely need cleaning. After the first season I tried repeatedly to get them to come out to clean them but only after about 6 calls over the course of months did they finally come back to clean them. In the years since, I have gone up on the roof myself to clean the gutters yearly. While up there I noticed that they hammered nails in some places right through the shingles thereby ruining the waterproofness of those shingles. I'll never let them near my house again. And despite their generous discount coupon (that they lure customers in with) the price was pretty high given that this is a small house. update re. Sept 2011 work. As a result of the poor review I recently left on the work originally done in 2006 I received a call from the president of the company in Sept 2011. He seems to truly care about his customer's experience, and stands behind his product. He offered to have someone come out to view the gutters and this team came at the appointed time, luckily it was raining that day and the technician was able to see firsthand how the gutters were failing. They offered to re-do the installation and also to install flashing where needed, as well as do a complete cleanout of the system all for free. They missed 2 appointments, one due to bad weather and I had to call a few times to track this down but they did come out on Sept 16 and made all repairs and corrections for free as they said they would. The work crew was extremely courteous and competent. I am very pleased with the resolution and would now only suggest that the scheduling office keep customers informed if their appointment has been bumped, but this is a relatively minor concern. I can understand why they have so many A ratings on Angie's list, they are a good company and I plan to use them again when I need gutter work.

Process went great estimator was professional and patient, the folks at the office were pleasant and informative, and the job was done so well that when I got home the job was clean and as described. Great Job for a great price!

My mother's comments: "My phone message was returned promptly. All my questions were answered. I gave Keith the information he requested. He quoted the cost for the work and I felt it was fair and reasonable. I didn't have to be here for the job to be done. Jack did the work on the day and at the time he promised. He left an invoice with a section called "Gutter System Inspection Report" completed. A few days later I received an estimate for having a gutter protection/cover options system installed. I had expressed an interest in this. I am very satisfied with everything and everyone I spoke to. If (and when) I decide on a protection system, I will certainly call New England Gutter Kings, Inc."

I received a callback immediately. Work was scheduled and took place within 2 weeks. Work was done professionally as expected.

I called and made an appt for an estimate, the guy never showed up. I got a follow up call later that day with an apology from the office, we made another appt for the estimator to come out today (8/19) and the guy again did not show up. I work full time and am making concessions to be home for this vendor -- and they do not show up. I called the office again and got no explanation for the 'no show'. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and Undependable.

The gentleman called before appt and was able to show up a little early. He was polite and professional and answered all my questions.

It never went I think it is unprofessional for them to give me an estimate and the when I request the work to be done I don't hear from any one.

I would recommend to everyone. Very fair.

They were excellent. They were exceptionally courteous. There was one spot that was still leaking a little bit, and they came back to repair it. The service was excellent. They did a great job and a complete clean up. We have a very high roof and they had long enough ladders to do the work on my home. They kept their word and the price was very reasonable.
