PJL LANDSCAPING

They were pretty good! However, If they need my hose out, they tend to flip it over my flowers.  I am a gardening fanatic, so I get upset if they flip the hose and break any of my flowers.  Also, they do not come at the set time every week depending on the weather.  Now, I am just in a habit of trying to pull the hose.  I have a big yard, so I try to pull the hose in so that they won't flip it over the flowers.  Other than that, they are fine.  I have no complaints.  I do not like to make phone calls.   If they are calling me by message, which I hate to do, they never get back in touch with me.  Overall, they were okay.

A neighbor recommended PJL to us for routine lawn and yard maintenance. My first contact with Phil was to have PJL do the fall yard cleanup (we have lots of oak trees). It took many calls to Phil before he finally returned our calls. But since he was servicing our neighbors..we decided to go ahead and hire him for the following spring despited the communication issues. For the Spring cleanup I specifically asked Phil to do a thorough "de-thatching" of the yard since we had a lot of moss growth I wanted raked out. The crew did no de-thatching...but only a light lawn raking. Again it took many repeated phone calls and voice-mail messages to get Phil to respond to my complaint. He promised to have his crew return and do the de-thatching that I requested. The crew never returned to do any de-thatching or further cleanup. They did however return to do weekly lawn cutting service. I finally left Phil a voice-mail message that I wanted to terminate his services and I also returned his invoices with written notice to terminate services...yet his crew still continued to show up for several more weeks despite repeated calls. They even sent my new landscape service away once when both arrived the same time. Throughout all this I never received any communication from PJL except for invoicing of un-authorized work and the spring cleanup that they did un-satisfactory. I finally got a phone call from Phil acknowledging my request to terminate services...and he still had the nerve to ask for payment of un-authorized lawn service. Phil had excuses (too much work, over committed to a large project, etc) for his lapse in communication...but I explained that it would only have taken a prompt response to my phone calls to explain his situation rather than no responding at all.
