We were in process of selling house. Had some minor task throughout house that needed to be completed. We were on a tight schedule with numerous contractors. Booked two days of service with them 10 days in advance via e mail. No show no call due to an error on their scheduling system. Owner Bob Samson contacted by e mail and responded professionally and courteously. We will use them again at our new home but will confirm day before!

2 hours of painting on stairwell done professionally and with great care to keep space neat and clean. Thanks.

The work was never done so I can no speak to the quality, but the lack of professionalism and lack respect for my time has cemented the fact that I will not do work with this vendor in the future.

Great, the guy (I think his name was Peter), did the work quickly & exactly how I wanted.

Called Handyman Matters to arrange the installation of an over-the-range microwave oven (standard GE). They were fairly responsive about calling back to arrange a time slot. The day of the appointment, however, they cancelled because the arranged handyman had a personal issue come up. After a little bit of phone tag they arranged for someone to come the next day at 5:00 PM. The handyman ended up running quite a bit behind and arrived at our house around 7:30 PM (he called around 5:15 PM to inform me of the delay and was apologetic). Once he got there, it was pretty straightforward. He knew what he was doing and installed the microwave in about an hour exactly.

Mark E. is outstanding, he has worked in our home twice. Bob who runs the franchise has been really helpful when I've asked him about scope and cost. My daughter had a small dark closet and HM opened it up and reframed it. They have also come in and done small jobs -- hanging racks, blinds a TV etc. I wish all providers were like this company.

Rich was excellent. Very thorough and professional and cleaned up after each project. I was so pleased, I had him size up another project and he was able to give me an estimate on the spot. Expect him back in the next couple of weeks to complete the work.

Overall the quality was excellent. It took a lot longer than we had planned for, and because the service is hourly, it was a lot more costly than I had anticipated. I think this was because the contractor spent a lot of time getting it just right. He was also very chatty, but was sensitive to that when estimating the number of hours.

Went well. Showed up exactly on time. Completed project in less time than estimated. Very neat, quick and polite.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was great. They did everything. It was basically my honey do list from my wife and they got through it. I would recommend them. They got more done than I thought they would. They were fast and they cleaned up when they were done. It was all good. I liked the price.

They were very good. I had them over for the tile work first and he mentioned he did carpentry work. He did such a nice job on the tile, I called him to rebuild the shed. He put in the new framing, siding. He was able to do all the work in 4 days. Scheduling was not bad at all. I only had to wait about a week to schedule the job. I had the same worker do both jobs. Everything turned out great.

We've used Handyman Matters many times, and have always been satisfied. The handyman was neat and courteous, and did a great job fixing the chairs and cabinet hinges that we needed tightening. All in all, a great value and a great experience.

She did an excellent job. I didn't expect it to come out so well. I didn't know it would have been such a big job.

I was very pleased from the time of my first call. Bob was the ultimate professional (attentive, accomodating, and courteous). Bob called the day before my appointment to reschedule the planned date and time, explaining that the job on the current day ran over and the handyman would be finishing the job. I had to reschedule the new date myself, and when leaving a message with the company's service Bob was prompt in returning my call and rescheduling. Always polite, professional and helpful. The handyman (Rick) provided terrific service. He arrived on time, I explained the list of tasks that needed to be addressed, and he explained the order in which he was addressing my needs and why. It was very apparent that he knew what to do and and how to do it. He took measurements quickly and was careful in doing each job, and asked for my feedback (for the height for the mirrors). He worked very cleanly - collecting the boxes and packing from the shelf and the mirror, and not leaving any dust from cutting the patch for the drywall, and not even a spot of spackle. I would absolutely recommend this company. I was very very pleased. I used an Angie's List Big Deal, and the price was right. The hourly rate for services other than the Deal are very reasonable.

I had what I thought was about 10 hours of work, and he did it in about an hour. Excellent work. Took care of a major punch list. I will have him back for sure.

Went very well. They were excellent and timely about fixing some rough spots ( that might have even been my fault). Courteous. Responsive. Would call them again.

Professional and punctual. Mark arrived on time and there was an email reminder the day before. The repairs were done well. I had bought the Big Deal for $99 for 2 hours of service, the repairs ended up taking longer plus there was a $35 per-visit charge that was not mentioned beforehand. Very good communication from Bob at the company to prepare for the visit. Overall an A. Update: the refund check for the $35 charge was received, thanks!

Handyman matters was very accommodating of my Big Deal. I had initially purchased this for another project but they realized when they came out that it was not possible to do what I wanted which made sense when they pointed out why. Instead I had them refinish and repaint/seal patio stairs and front stairs. The serviceman arrived about 15min early and was able to complete the job including clean up within the 2hr timeframe the deal allotted.

Bob responded quickly to all calls. Confirmation via phone and email. Mark arrived on time, was very nice and knowledgeable about what he was doing. Also gave me an estimate for another job and had good ideas as to how to fix the problem. I felt comfortable leaving him alone. The microwave was installed and everything was cleaned up. Very professional.

Everything went well. I gave the contractor a list of items to work on in the morning and went about my day. All work was completed and quality was good.

I purchased a Big Deal for $99.00 for two hours of handyman service. I called and spoke with them about a month ago and set up a time for them to come out. They did not show up for that appointment so I called back to reschedule for the following weekend and they did not show up then either. I called one last time to have them come out today and again they did not show up. There was no real reason given to me as to why they did not keep the appointment with me when i spoke with them. And they have not called back today to cancel or reschedule.

Called to schedule repair to leak in attic/ kitchen ceiling. First call went as expected. Then I called to reschedule, I was told; "I' m on my way to the Cape for the weekend, I'll give you a call Monday to reschedule". That never happen. I called on Tuesday and was given the yah, yah, attitude when I mentioned the missed call on his end. He blew right through to rescheduling. That was supposed to happen today. Got an email last night, stating:" Man who was scheduled to do your job in the morning, has had a family issue come up, have to reschedule. Will call in the morning." The call has not happen. I just scheduled a ton of Honey To Do items with another company.

It was ridiculously expensive to put two nails in the wall and hang it up, other than that it was fine. I just wish that the price had been a little lower. I spent $75 to have them hang five pictures. I do not know how to put nails in to hang them. I had no other options. I know how to do it now. They were here 10 minutes. I would not use them again.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it turned out pretty well. There were some additional charges and the guy actually didn’t have the coupon with him, and so I had to show it to him. He just gave me the discount on the coupon. He did a good job and I would refer him to someone else. He did an excellent job, and in two hours he went and bought the material and got it all done. He got things done on the list I had.
