Job went well.  Handyman was on time, efficient and explained what he was doing and why.  He was able to come up with some creative solutions on the fly to some issues that arose.  There seemed to be some sort of miscommunication of what the job was that he was going to be performing, but he quickly resolved the situation with a phone call.  I would recommend this service.  They called back quickly, worked around the weather, were on time, cleaned up after the job, explained the costs.

I don't remember the exact date of service.  It was in the May timeframe.  The work was done over 2 days - one day needed to be rescheduled due to rain..since you can't stain a deck in the rain ;0)

It went well. Craig came as always on time about quarter to 8am.Checked out the ladder area and came up with and excellent way to complete the work. He then went to Home Depot and picked up the required items and returned in an hour and right away started to build the project. Upon completion he made sure I could open and close the ladder/door a few times so that I knew how to handle it. He even fixed a folding closet door while he was here. He does not rush but makes certain the job is well done.

It is very well made and looks very neat.

I must say again that Craig's work is very neat and well done.

We will be getting their help again for a few projects this month and are looking forward to that.

I had used Handyman Matters previously to install new closet doors and the project went great.  However, this time around I was trying to get a bathroom remodeled.  Bob got back to my email right away and asked for pictures of my bathroom so he could give me a fair estimate.  I sent the pictures and did not hear back from him for over a month, despite several follow-up emails and phone calls.  Eventually when he did get back to me, he apologized and said he was dealing with "a few personnel issues" and then did give me an estimate and talked me through our project.  Yet again, Bob has since gone MIA on me and has not responded to my questions nor provided me with a revised estimate or dates to schedule the project.  Looks like based on other Angie's reviews, I'm not the only one he has failed to get back to.  His lack of responsiveness clearly means that he is having problems in his business - I would not trust his word on anything at this point.  Bob - I gave you the benefit of the doubt more than once and will not bother with you for any projects in the future.

He told us he will get back to us with an estimate and email it to us.  It is now Sept 27, and we did not get a phone call or an email with an estimate.  I gave him the benefit of a doubt that he may be busy but I am certain that by now three weeks later, he will not be giving us an estimate.  He wasted 2-3 weeks of my time.  If he did not want to do the job, he should let us know so we can move forward.  We left a voice message and he never responded.  Very disappointed.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Provider cancelled appointments to quote on work twice - each time the day before with explanation that problems with another job was the reason.  
Had to wait 3 weeks to get the first appointment, then another 3 weeks for the second.  After the second cancellation we decided to pursue another professional.  
Very annoying and a complete waste of time.

This was initially intended to be a continuation of a previous project with Handyman Matters. The previous craftsman had painted our bathroom and it needed another coat, so we decided to purchase the $349 for 4 hours Angie's Deal and additionally have him fix the screens on our porch whose screening needed replacing. The craftsman thought that this could all be done in 4 hours. However, the evening before the work was scheduled be done, Handyman called us to say that the previous craftsman was no longer working for them, so we would need to schedule someone else, which we did.
The new craftsman called us the evening before the scheduled work to ask about adjusting the start time (no problem) and find out about the work. He showed up when scheduled, but apparently there had been some misunderstanding over the phone, as he had brought the wrong size screening. He examined one of the screens and determined that it was not suitably designed to take fiberglass screening and that the it also was in too poor shape to take metal screening. Also, the frames were fairly badly sealed in with paint. He wasn't sure that he could do the work in the scheduled amount of time, if at all. Then he hit upon the idea of custom building some aluminum-framed screens and setting them into the wooden frames. He unhooked and knocked out the wooden frames, pulling off some pieces of the surrounding wood in the process, and took off (after asking authorization) to Home Depot to get the materials to build the aluminum screens. He successfully built the screens, installed them in the wood frames, and reinstalled the wood frames, adding some glue to reattach the wood pieces that had been removed initially.  He worked as quickly and efficiently as possible, attempting to stay within the 4-hour limit, but ended up needing an additional hour, which was reasonable. The resulting work looked good from the inside, and we have no more mosquitoes getting in; but the outside needs some work.
The reasons for a "B" rating on this are:
1. The second coat of paint in the bathroom never got done. Reluctantly, we ended up doing it ourselves. Whether the original craftsman underestimated the work or knew something that the new craftsman did not, either way is not good.
2. The new craftsman had not seen the work to be done in advance, as the original craftsman had, which led to inefficiency.
3. The new craftsman's removal of the screens was rather "brute force" with a hammer from the inside. A little work with a chisel around the edges outside might have prevented the breaking off of pieces of wood that happened.
The result and process were "good", but I can't really say "excellent'".

I don’t recall there being any troubles with scheduling. He completed some plastering, repaired a door, and other handyman work. They arrived on time and completed the job quickly. They were able to complete all of the work I had planned for this job. They did a good job. Everything was fine.

I arranged for Bob to come to review our job and give us an estimate.  He was supposed to arrive at 9:00 on a Friday morning, and I stayed home from work to wait for the appointment.  By 10:00, he hadn't arrived, I called the office, he had forgotten the appointment, but did come over at that point to review the job. Bob was apologetic about the mixup, and I didn't make a big deal about it, mistakes happen.  However, what really irks me is that I have never heard back from this company with an estimate, even though I emailed the office enquiring about it several days later.  It has been 6 days since I sent the email to the office, still haven't heard anything.  A big waste of my time.

Several of the jobs were not done well, e.g. towel bar was at an angle. I had problems scheduling.
DO NOT REMEMBER ANY OTHER DETAILS AFTER 2 YEARS. YOUR POLICY OF PROVIDING REMINDERS ABOUT REVIEWS EVERY TIME WE ENTER YOUR SITE IS ANNOYING AND RIDICULOUS. YOU SHOULD STOP AFTER A SPECIFIC LENGTH OF TIME. IT IS FRUSTRATING ENOUGH TO MAKE ME CONSIDER NOT RENEWING MY MEMBERSHIP.

I had purchased the deal wanting to have a faucet repaired. The technician diagnosed that it needed to be replaced and could not be repaired. He left to purchase the needed parts and came back to complete the replacement. He also repaired a door knob and hinges.  The technician was very nice. They did a good job withthe work and everything was fine.
