David W Paulson Jr. Clock Repair & Restoration

Based on the very positive reviews on Angie's List I called Mr. Paulson on a Saturday. He answered on the first ring (like clock work). I explained that my Grandmother's old grandfather clock had not run in over a decade. He explained about the service life of this particular clock and said he could come and try to make it work. If he could not we could discuss other options like replacing the movement. Either way it would be $150 for the call out. Fair enough! The following Monday, Mr Paulson showed up and fixed my clock! According to my wife he was very punctual, respectful and nice. He suggested that we get the clock serviced every two years but suggested we call him rather than him calling us. Oh no, please call us!! Thanks, Mr. Paulson, you've given me back a piece of my family's history. See you in two years!

Mr. Paulson came to our home to repair a grandfather clock and a wall clock, both of which had not worked for a number of years. He arrived on time on the date agreed upon and spent some time repairing the clocks. Once he had them up and running, he then took the time to show me the right way to wind and adjust the clocks. He also told me about maintenance and indicated that I should feel free to call him at any time should any problem arise with the clocks.

Our grandfather clock had not worked properly for quite some time. We missed hearing the chimes so much. Out of curiosity, I looked in the telephone book to see if any companies existed on the South Shore, especially if anyone would service clocks in the home. To my surprise, I found an ad for a company in a nearby town. I was equally surprised to find that the owner picked up the phone and informed me that he would be able to come out on the same day, a Saturday! He had two other house calls in town. Mr. Paulson arrived promptly, at the agreed upon time. He carefully dismantled our clock. He took great pains to inspect and repair it. He patiently answered my questions about the appropriate use and care of the clock. I enthusiastically suggest that others contact this family owned business.
