Cabral Irrigation completed my irrigation system in just a few hours and I paid them when I saw that it was functioning properly. However, later that evening when I went to turn on my 3 post lights for my front yard I found out they were not working. I could only assume that during the digging for the irrigation system they damaged my electrical line. We communicated by e-mail and by phone and he kept maintaining that he would come by to look at the problem and resolve it but he kept failing to show up.
I will now call my electrician and have him fix it but I think he should pay for the electrician's work. I just want to caution others before they hire this guy.
Upon a look at the contract I noticed he said he's not responsible for any utility lines that are damaged. However, he never reminded me or seemed concerned about this before his arrival. I was home and available for any questions his men had and no one asked if I had checked my utility lines or asked where they might be. If he had
reminded me of possible interference with my underground utility lines I would have asked him how to check and I would have
made sure I did the work before his installation. I also think he should not have kept putting me off saying he would come by to resolve it and he should have gone directly to saying that the contract says he's not responsible if that is the case. A good business should be careful that it relays important information directly with its customers and comes to the customer's support should an unexpected problem arise.
"Cabral Irrigation is very proud of the services we provide. We have over 3000 customers and never had a negative review in 20 years. Cabral Irrigation did not install this irrigation system but we did receive a call for a service and arrived on time. We did charge for an additional head that was damaged ( normal charge ). WITH CUSTOMER PERMISSION AND PAID FOR SERVICE. As far a leaving air in the system ( no such thing ). I returned to the location for a follow up call due to the noise in basement. I was there my self and there is a valve that will not shut off. It needs to be replaced. I told the home owner that a service call, cost of $69. plus a valve would cost about $100. Never said $100 an hour. Cabral Irrigation is fear and honest company to work with and feels that the home owner is trying to take advantage of this situation. I will not work for this home owner again and would tell irrigation contractors to beware of this home owner. Kenny Cabral Cabral Irrigation"
