It was very smooth and hassle-free process which I appreciated.  They showed me several samples and provided excellent references before going through with the work.  Furthermore, they arrived on time, did an excellent job, and charged a very competitive price.  I would definitely recommend them.

They did a great job. It's wonderful and I have no complaints. We did some price shopping and they were reasonable. A friend of ours had also utilized them. They worked with us and prior to having the kitchen done we were updating the bathroom, so I called them up to ask if I could do a granite top for the bathroom and they were really nice. I went where they have their remnants because I didn't need that big of a piece and they were very helpful and when they came out they did a good job. The only downside was that their English wasn't as proficient as I would've liked. There was one man who spoke the language and he was okay, but he wasn't what I would really consider fluent. The sales people did and luckily there wasn't any issues, but have there been any I think that would have been a barrier and for the amount of money I was putting out I could've been frustrated by that. They were able to do my kitchen in one piece which I was very happy with because it was seamless which is important with granite countertops. I was very happy and they came out and installed it on the day as promised and all the work was done. I would recommend them and they were affordable. For me personally it was a lot of trips back and forth to the warehouse and in my opinion if they were going to make this work the right way everything would be in one location when you go in and pick your stone instead of going to a small showroom. They were definitely competitive because some places were asking more. We went with what their entry level was and after looking at four or five different places and an online search. The sales lady was very good about emailing us back and when they were supposed to be here they were here. They are very hard workers and knew what they were doing.

There are an astounding number of marble and granite slabs to view at the Mendon showroom.  Before settling on a particular product, we were provided samples to take home and review in different light and against our cabinets, appliances and plumbing.  Measuring was done as scheduled, was meticulous, and took quite a while with survey tools and lasers, resulting in a perfect fit.  We "tagged" specific granite pieces to use for our fabrication at the showroom, if you want a particular line or grain you may chose it. Delivery and installation was on time and professionally done, amazing to watch the extremely heavy pieces of cut granite hauled into my home, around door frames, and laid into place in the kitchen.  There are no flaws in the granite, fabrication, installation or the construction.  I have been using the counters for 4 months without issue or complaint.

The procees went OK but not great. When we met with German in the Mendon office I rasied two concerns that I had. The first was how they would handle the appliance cabinet that was sitting on my coutertop and the second was how they would handle the ceramic tile and trim that I have on the walls above the counters in some areas. I was told that granite counter tops were thinner than formica countertops and that plywood would be used to adjust the height (this is in the contract) and that while the installers would be very careful it is possible that one or two of the trim pieces could be damaged. I was Ok with these reponses. Three installers and one supervisor came to do the installation.. The supevisor started to size up the job. Something I would have expected to happen after the contract was signed not at instalation time. Upon looking at the tile trim he asked if it would be easy just to get new trim. I said no as I had been unsuccessful in finding replacements for several years. We told him to go ahead with the installation anyway because at this point there was no turning back. All the fabrication had been done and I had given them $4000 already. First there was no plywood base, so there was a gap between the countertop and the appliance cabinet and the countertop and the tile and the countertop and the wallpaper. We were told that the reason there is no plywood base was that it can be seen and was unsightly which made sense. Someone in fabrication needs to tell the sales people in the showroom about this. The installer then tried to move the trim down to meet the countertop. Most of the trim pieces broke and were not usable. The three young men who were doing the installation were very responsible, polite, and professional. As they were finishing up the instalation Rodrigo came to us with a recommendation of how we could address the trim issue. They could fabricate a 1/2 in round edge trim piece to sit on top of the countertop to meet the tile. This sounded like a real good option and we agreed to try it. They came back in a week with this trim and it worked out well. But I still have a gap under the appliance cabinet and I have to repaper all the other walls because of the gap left there. One more thing. When we signed the contract we were then shown two pieces granite that would be used for out order. We agreed that they were acceptable. One of the two pieces had more pattern in it than the other and I marked that piece for my island. When the installation was complete I noticed that the piece I wanted for the center island was on another counter top. I realize that a special effort would need to have been made during the fabrication process to make sure the island had the brightest part of the design on it but given that I had earmarked a specific piece for the island I expected that to happen. An "A" shop would have taken that extra effort. All in all the experience was OK not great.

OVERALL THE EXPERIENCE WAS A GOOD ONE. THOUGH THEY DID FAIL TO COMMUNICATE A FEW MINOR ISSUES, SUCH AS FEES FOR REMOVAL OF OLD FORMICA COUNTERS, WITH US, UNTIL THE WORKERS ARRIVED WITH THE NEW COUNTERS. THEY WERE QUICK TO RECTIFY THE MISCOMMUNICATION. WHEN WE HAD A QUESTION ABOUT WHETHER A FISSURE IN THE SURFACE WAS A PROBLEM WE WERE IMPRESSED THAT THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY CAME TO OUR HOUSE AND WENT OVER ALL THE WORK AND SPENT TIME WITH US MAKING SURE WE WERE COMPLETELY SATISFIED. THE DESIGNER WAS ALSO VERY GOOD AT RECOMMENDING DIFFERENT DESIGNS THAT ACTUALLY MADE THE SURFACE OF THE COUNTERS AND ISLAND LARGER. THE COUNTERS WERE INSTALLED PERFECTLY AND WE WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.
