Graeme and his crew arrived promptly on the scheduled day. We discussed exactly what they were going to do, then they quickly and efficiently went to work. They did a great job removing two very large poplar trees, and trimming many other trees. They took the large logs from the property, and chipped the smaller branches. Graeme asked me if I wanted the wood chips; when I said I did, he spread them where I wanted them. They did an excellent job cleaning up when they were done. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the work they did.

Graeme was very responsive about initial quote and was easy to contact via text. However, they didn't show until late in the afternoon to perform the work. They rushed to get everything done before dark and in the process felled a full size pine tree on mature patio plantings and destroyed several shrubs. Small debris was not removed but was raked into the mulch pile. They also destroyed our lawn. We were reimbursed for the cost of the shrubs but there is no replacing 10 years of growth. We've had more expensive and less expensive tree work done and this was by far the worst quality in terms of clean up and attention to detail. We have a lot of spring clean up to do.

After being stiffed by one tree company that eventually didn't even show up after pushing our job out over 2 months beyond what he said, I was happy with the prompt and professional response of Elliott Tree. Their price was at least 1/3 more than the other company, but then I paid nothing since they never showed up anyway. So I think the price was fair for the job. They had to push our job out a couple of times, totally understandable since it was winter and we had some wet and windy weather. I was contacted each time, and even the day of them showing up to be sure it was a good day to start the job. It was a fairly large size job, and they wanted to complete it within 2 days. I think that was pushing it a bit, but we had weather coming in the end of the second day. For the most party they work like a finely tuned machine, with at least 3 or 4 guys on the job. The second day was a rush near the end as darkness and snow started setting in. They ended up having to leave a huge pile of logs for maybe up to a week, until they could coordinate the logging trucks to completely remove them all. That was totally fine, no issue with that. They cleaned up the front and side yard just as they said they would. The only issue, well a couple of things, was the back hill of 1/2 acre is still very messy with large branches and tons of clippings that will take us a long time to clean up manually. I kept thinking they may come back and finish, that is how many were left. But it is now about 2 months later it is clear that the job is complete in their eyes. I understand they are very busy and have a tight schedule, but we would have appreciated that finishing touch that would have taken them a lot less time than it will take us. We also have a ton of stumps to deal with, which I knew we would. I did think the original job included the grinding of the three large stumps near the house, but when the job time came, he informed it the price did not include that. So a couple of things I would do in the future, be sure you are VERY clear on the what the job includes and does not include. They will do exactly what is on the quoted sheet, but no more. Also be totally clear on how much will be cleaned up. We don't have plans for more tree work for a long time and the stumps will have to be excavated, which Elliott Tree doesn't do. grinding 30 plus stumps would not be cost effective. In the mean time we have to clean up a hill of a TON of brush and I am not sure where we will put it all. SO just be clear on the job and what you can expect. In general very professional, but when under a time crunch be sure to be clear with what you expect.

GREAT service! Very responsive, great pricing, extremely professional. We live in a narrow cul-de-sac and were concerned with all the cable/phone/electric lines running through the tree but there were no issues at all. They were prompt and did great work.

They were great. The workers were professional and good to work with. They cleaned up well after the work was done including the hauling away of branches and debris. I would use their services again if needed. I was very pleased with their work.

I called and Mark from Elliott Tree came out and quoted me a price and scheduled the job for the following week. They came out exactly when they said they would. The Maple tree had a large branch over my roof that had been split from the snow storm we had a couple of years ago in October. Graeme cut down the large branch then trimmed up the tree to make it look good. The tree is about 40 years old and very large. They cut the branch into smaller pieces so I could use them as firewood. They ground out the stump of the Crab apple tree after cutting that down as well. They brought a 'mulcher' and cleaned everything up. I have other tree work I need to have done. I will definitely hire them to do all my tree work. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them.

We have a very wooded lot and it is difficult to safely remove trees without fear of doing damage to the home, the power lines, or healthy trees. Elliott Tree was wonderful. They gave us great advice on the health of the trees, even suggesting that we keep trees that we thought were unhealthy, but were just fine in the eyes of a professional. The staff was very polite and courteous. They even cleaned up after themselves. Great experience overall. This is the second time we have used them and I would recommend them.

They were very good, professional and had all the right equipment. They were in an out in about an hour an a half. I thought their price might be a bit high, but I really don't know. They were very prompt and swept up and cleaned up very nice. We are on a cul-de-sac and they kept the trees in the cul-de-sac. They cleaned up everything nice before they left.

Arrived on time 8 AM, reviewed problems in locating the crane, trucks, and shredding machine---and went to work cutting, gathering branches and "grinding" up trees as needed. They raked and cleaned up tons of debris, planted grass seed and went on. I took pictures and generally stayed out of the way. The teamwork shown was exemplary--so uncommon to see these days.

We called Elliott Tree on June 28, 2013, to obtain a quote for trimming 5 large trees, 4 off the house and 1 off the driveway. Graeme was working nearby and came out the same day to talk about the work we wanted done. The discussion included both the "must have" list and two potential additional options. When we received the quote, it was clear, complete, reasonable and included the price for the "must have" list as well as each option. The quote also identified the cost of putting down plywood to protect the grass and the services included in the overall price. We emailed a few questions which were promptly answered, completed the paperwork and sent it back electronically. July 23rd was the scheduled date. Unfortunately very heavy rain prevented the work from being done, so it was rescheduled for the 26, when it again was raining. Graeme was able to do some other work early and therefore schedule our work for July 30. Elliott Tree arrived on time, 8:30 AM, and the first thing Graeme did was review the work to be completed with us. He discussed a few options, and as we would be home he indicated he would check with us as the work proceeded to ensure that we were pleased with the result. He did just that. Our single past tree trimming experience (Tucson, 1985) resulted in a tree that was aptly described by our then 5 year-old daughter as a bone. In contrast, the trees cut by Elliott Tree were shaped well and cut back appropriately. The debris was cleaned up from the yard and the roof, and the gutters blown out. They had all the needed equipment and got all the work done less than three hours. By 11:30 AM Elliott Tree was leaving. We think they did a great job, and we recommend them highly.

After my home insurance provider decided to cancel my insurance with 10 days notice because of a tree hanging over the house, I needed someone to come take care of it FAST. I called Elliott Tree and they were very friendly, and able to come out the same day after I told them of my plight. They took care of the tree and even trimmed some additional trees at no extra cost. They also did a really good job cleaning up after the work was complete. I would use them again.

I called Elliott Tree on a Friday and left a message regarding getting an estimate for some tree branches we needed taken down. We played phone tag through Saturday afternoon, and I was impressed at Graeme's responsiveness. Mark arrived promptly and gave an estimate on the spot and said the work could probably be done by the end of the week. He also noted that the large truck may leave imprints in the yard but they could possibly put down boards to limit the damage. I told Mark I'd think about it and get back to him. An hour or two after leaving, Mark called to let me know he had another job in my area tomorrow (Tuesday), and if I scheduled the job at the same time, he'd discount the price. The new price made it very appealing to go with Elliott Tree, so I approved the job. I asked him when the work would be done on Tuesday and he said about 3:00pm. We were excited to have found a reputable company that was so prompt and willing to do the work next-day! So an Elliott Tree employee arrived before noon on Tuesday and was halfway through taking down branches when my wife arrived home. Since it's outdoor work, there's no need for someone to be home to let anyone in the house, but we like to observe any work done on our property. Their 3 hour early arrival didn't interfere with any plans, but we would have appreciated a call ahead to make sure it was ok to start that soon. There was only one tree worker doing the work, and from what was observed, he was very haphazard and careless about where branches fell or landscaping he trampled. He appeared to be in a major rush to just get the job done, and continuously trampled over perennial plants instead of going around them. While its obviously expected falling branches have to land somewhere, the worker should have at the very least been paying attention to where he was stepping. To add to the careless attitude, the worker took the opportunity to smoke a cigarette on his way up in the bucket, then flick it out into our lawn down below when he was done with it. After he finished cutting down the branches, he did very little clean up of the areas he trampled. Our landscape is still littered with bark and branches and no effort was made to restore the condition of the plants he squashed. He also did some maneuvering of the truck on the lawn and left deep tire gauges that we have to attempt to tamp down. The employee just hopped in the truck and took off as soon as he moved all the obvious debris out of the way. This is a very mixed review for us--the men we spoke with to schedule the work were helpful, prompt, and professional, while the man who did the work was anything but. We left a message about our disappointment with the condition of the yard and Mark returned to check out the area later in the afternoon. He apologized, but besides raking up some of the trampled plants, he left the rest for us to repair. Overall, we're glad the branches are gone now, but the damage left is unacceptable and should have been clearly explained before starting the job.

Overall, the experience was excellent. Just one little thing . . . In addition to the tree work, we contracted them to remove several stumps that my husband had dug out of the ground. They removed all of the big stumps, but there was one small one that somehow ended up in the brush of the stream, next to our property rather than on the truck. That being said, I would still hire the company again.

My husband and I needed several things done after the October 2011 snowstorm including removal of three trees, removal of large branches and limbs, and (unrelated to the storm) removal of widespread Oriental Bittersweet that had taken over part of our property. Elliott and his crew worked skillfully, carefully, but also quickly (considering the amount of work). They answered our questions and offered honest appraisal of one tree we had been told was dead, but, in fact, was not (and, therefore, didn't need to be cut down). They also offered to remove some additional brush on our property at no charge. This company is owned by a guy who loves trees, but also knows when they've become dangerous and need to come down. We'll use Elliott's services again, no doubt!

My call for an estimate was answered the same day. Within two days, Mark came and gave me a written estimate. I called to accept the estimate, with no particular hurry for scheduling. We agreed on a date. On the day scheduled. Mark was courteous enough to call to say he would a bit late. He and his "crew" (another man named Mark) arrived, planned the work, and set to. Upon completing the work, they cleaned the site to a degree better than it had been before they arrived. I was very pleased. Both Mark(s) were pleasant and professional. I enjoyed working with them, and wouldn't hesitate to call Elliott Tree in the future.

Graeme and his team did an awesome job. I received quotes from 3 different companies and his was the lowest price for the most amount of work. When I was meeting with various companies, I stated that we wanted to take down the 2 trees and then would like guidance and suggestions on what to do with the others, given the damage that they sustained in the snow storm. He was very thorough in his explanation of how his team would trim the remaining trees to help them grow back more fully and help to prevent further damage. He didn't charge us for all of the trimming work because the trees were so close together and the crane would already be in the right spot. On the day of the work, the team showed up on schedule and was extremely efficient. They were finished with the entire job-including clean-up-by 2pm that day. Graeme also offered to have the stump grinding crew come that same day and said that we could set up a payment plan if the cost was what was preventing us from having the stumps ground right away. Our trees are located very close to our house and I didn't once worry about damage-the team was very professional and clearly experienced. We would definitely recommend Elliot Tree!

Overall the work went very well. They showed up right on time and were finished in about three hours. This company has the latest equipment and doesn't fool around. The company owner really seems to know his way around trees. Frankly, it cost me about $800 for two hours of work, but they did a days work in about two hours.

I contacted Elliot tree and they came the next day to view the job. He gave me two options of doing the job. Gave me a written estimate. He came back a week later to answer some questions that my wife wanted to know. She was very satisified and we schedulded the job. He kept in contact with us through E-mail. Came as schedulded. Excellent job. After the job was finished came and talked to us and asked if we had questions and said he would mail us the bill. Mark was great he was very caring and careful when he did the work. I called Elliot Tree one morning to get an estimate for some cleanup related to the freak October snowstorm. The owner answered the phone on my first try. He met me at a time of my choosing, which was the next Sunday morning. My work involved two locations. At my house to remove a dozen broken branches stuck up in oak trees in my back yard, some of which were easily 12" in diameter, 30' to 40' off the ground, plus chip all that up along with dozens more branches already on the ground. This involved climbing and use of a small bucket vehicle that could get into my backyard. Secondly, at my in-laws house to remove and chip up broken branches from a beautiful tree in front of their house, chip up more storm debris already on the ground, plus trim branches growing near their electric service wires. This was done with a regular bucket type tree truck. They showed up exactly when they said they would (about 2 weeks after the initial visit), on-time, and the job was done to my satisfaction. Things look SO much better now. The workers and the owner are neat and professional. Considering I had called a half dozen tree companies over the previous 3 months (using the yellow pages), and never even got a return phone call, Elliot Tree stands out as an excellent choice for responsiveness and quality work.

It was excellent. He was very thorough and business-like. He was extremely efficient and explained to us what he was going to do and worked with what we wanted to do on the property. He worked with us on cost and explained to us what we could get for our money. He stuck to his schedule. We scheduled him after Hurricane Eileen but before an ice storm and he honored his appointment with us even though, because of the ice storm, he could have cancelled or certainly had more business.

It was handled primarily by email with the estimate hand delivered at which time he advised me about a third tree. He was very informative and clearly cared about his work. The work was done while I was away. Everything was cleaned up when I returned.

The owner, Graeme Elliott, came to my home to do an estimate within 24 hours of my calling him. I was pleased with his estimate as it was considerably lower than others that I had gotten, and he cut down an extra tree as well! The four trees that were removed were huge, and very close to the house or garage. Mr. Elliott and his crew showed up exactly when he said they would, and they worked for a number of hours, until everything was finished, taking only a short lunch break in my driveway! I was impressed with their neatness, and the care that they took not to damage my lawn with the heavy equipment. They cleaned everything up really well, even coming back the following day (in heavy rain), to rake the lawn and driveway and make sure that all the debris was gone. I would certainly recommend Elliott Tree to anyone who needs tree work done.
