Sal's Handyman Services

Sal is the best handyman around! Very reliable, punctual, knowledgeable, friendly, and his rates are very reasonable. He hung a flat screen tv for me and did an amazing job. I will be calling him for any future job I need done for sure! I would highly recommend him to anyone.

My landlord, who lives out of state, found Sal on the internet. Sal called me directly to make an appointment to examine the dripping hole and the leaking toilet. He was on time and professional in his opinions and options for treating the problem. He had to problem solve the cause of the leak, he tried a number of solutions before discovering the culprit. Sal showed a great deal of patience while trying to fix the problem the right way. When he pulled down the wet ceiling, he discovered mold growing on the beams and studs. He informed me (the tenant) and the landlord right away, and gave us options for treating the problem. My landlord asked Sal to treat the mold completely, which Sal did. We needed to keep the whole open for it to dry out, be treated and completely dry and set.
In the meantime, I had Sal give me an estimate for replacing a broken garbage disposal. He gave me a range of prices and suggested I look at disposals on Amazon to save money. My landlord wanted the job done right away so Sal picked one up at Home Depot. He installed the disposal for $323 (over $150 less that a previous estimate I had received earlier from another plumber.)
Once the treatment had dried, Sal was careful about patching the ceiling. He called in a plasterer to apply plaster so that now there is no evidence of a problem in the ceiling. Once patched he used paint we had and gave the ceiling two coats of paint. Sal put a lot of effort into the problem, it took over a week for the whole problem to be fixed. Due to the humidity during the summer the plaster and paint took hours to dry. He never rushed the process, always kept us informed as to what needed to be done and was flexible to come to my unit at my convenience. He was a pleasure to have around, he's very friendly, professional and has a wonderful sense of humor. He put down drop clothes when he painted or cut the wall board and always cleaned up after himself.
Sal careful about costs and provided cost options whenever he could, knowing that keeping costs down was important.
