We had a very large pine tree at the front corner of our lot that was looming over the house and street. The real problem with the tree was its roots had broken up the basement floor (which was too thin to begin with) over the years, and the previous owners hadn't done much to deal with it. We contacted 4-5 contractors to get estimates. We ended up going with Tree Tech because they were working on a reality show and our job was going to be subsidized by the production company that was doing the show. (We saved 40-50% this way, which is why I put an asterisk on the price.) What should've been a 4-hour job turned into an all-day affair, but only because of the production. The Tree Tech guys very professional as they took down our massive tree at the corner of a side street and the main street, dealing with a police detail, passing cars, curious onlookers, the production crew, and rainy conditions. They used a crane to remove each section of the tree and lower it to the ground, where two other guys removed limbs and fed them into a chipper powered by biodiesel. At the end of the day most of the debris had been swept up and carted away, and all that was left of the tree was a three-foot-wide stump. A few weeks later a subcontractor came by to grind the stump. I used a lot of the grindings as mulch around the front of our house and left the rest to settle into the depression where the stump had been. I appreciated that Andy didn't send us an invoice until after the stump was gone, and we didn't have to pay any money up front, though that may have been an unusual circumstance due to the TV production. All in all, it was an interesting experience and I would definitely hire Tree Tech again.

Last year we had a very large pine tree removed (not by Tree Tech). The stump was about three feet in diameter and directly adjacent to our driveway. Pat came to my house promptly and called me when he arrived (I was at work). He confirmed that he was looking at the correct stump and left a quote for the job. A week later he came back to remove the stump and, as agreed, left the mulch for me to use in my flower beds. I thought he did a great job, the price was perfect, and he was very easy to work with.

They worked quickly and cleaned up most of the mess.  There was a small amount of plant damage and they left a fair bit of sawdust from the trees.

We called a few weeks ago to get a quote to remove a tree that landed on our property line.  We were concerned about having heavy equipment on our land (we had some trucks on it last year, which shredded up the lawn, and we just spent a few hundred bucks to fix it up, so we didn't want to have the issue again).
I sent an email, since my work schedule keeps me away from my cell phone most of the time, but they called back letting us know that they'd like to come out and give an estimate.  I actually missed the phone call, but they ended up coming out on their own accord anyways and left the quote on my door.
We ended up taking the tree down ourselves (We have some handy family members), but contacted Tree Tech to see if they could still remove the stump.  Unfortunately we were in a tight time-frame at this point, as a fence company was also coming out to install a fence.  We let them know our situation, and they promised to come out by our deadline (a week out...).
Sure enough, they sent a crew over, took care of the stump well within our proposed deadline, and did so very quickly.
We're glad we went with Tree Tech for the stump removal, and will likely use them again should any of our other trees need work!  The process was pain-free, and they took the time to come out on their own to give a quote.
And in all, the cost of removing the stump was actually cheaper than us renting a stump grinder and doing it ourselves... And MUCH easier too!

Called the general number.  Was given someone's specific number.  Called that number and left a vm.  Was never called back.  called the general number again.  The woman who answered handled the incident very professionally.  She provided me another person's specific number.  Called this number.  Got quick response.  He was available to come out within days to provide an estimate.  He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful.  Provided an estimate right away that seemed to be a very reasonable price. Able to schedule the work to be completed within a little over a week.  Went very smoothly.  The team who came to do the work was on time and very personable and helpful.

We had a 80 ft tree break at it's base during a storm. The tree was leaning over the easement which leads to several homes beyond ours, with it's top resting on the top of another tree. The neighbors were nervous and didn't want to drive under it.
Tree Tech came out immediately, gave us a very good assessment, and were on the job within a day. They had a crew of 5, so it was done in an hour. They were highly professional, did not charge a lot, and left the area spotless. They stayed in touch with us before, during and after to make sure we were satisfied. They are fabulous.

We wanted to get our trees pruned to avoid having branches interfere with our power-lines during the winter.  We call Tree Tech, and they quickly sent someone out to take a look.  They recommended pruning the trees around the property, for the health of the trees, and they pointed out that a large vine was suffocating one of trees and needed to be removed.  The work was scheduled for a few weeks later.  On the day of the scheduled work, they called to alert us that the truck had broken down and they needed to reschedule.  The act of rescheduling seemed to be the only complicating part in this process, as there was only one person allowed to do it and for 36 hours he was unreachable.  Nevertheless, we were able to reschedule the work for the following week, and it ended up being worth the wait.  Tree Tech did a great job.  The trees were pruned well and everything was cleaned up and removed.

We had two extremely large pine tree in the far corner of our backyard that during every snow storm, hurricane, was dropping branches, some quite large all over the yard.  These trees would also sway a lot.  In fear they might take out our swingset, backyard fence or even our house we finally decided to have them removed. We looked at 3 different companies, received quotes from each and ultimately while they were close, we chose TreeTech.   I really was sold when talking with Tree Tech and explaining what I wanted to have done, with minimal damage to the yard and leaving another tree that the other 2 companies said would have had to be removed to get to the pines.   Tree Tech came out on a Tuesday and the 3-man crew wasted no time, moving the Swingset and then one of the guys climbed up the tree and started cutting away.  The other 2 took the branches that were cut, chopped and put in the chipper what they could.  The bigger pieces they left.   By early afternoon both trees were down.   They used a picker and moved all the tree pieces to the front of the house.   While I had some dents and holes in the yard. they were not bad and frankly expected.   They racked the whole area and really made sure everything was taken care of.  The next day, the 2nd crew came and they proceeded to do all the pruning.  Again, they made quick work.   I could not have been more pleased.   It did take a few days to get the tree pieces removed from yard but in fairness we had the Thanksgiving weekend so it was not a huge deal.   Honestly I could not have been happier with the experience and would easily recommend them again.   If you are trying to decide. Ask for Kevin.

Although they had quoted the job two months earlier, Tree Tech honored the quote and responded very quickly when I called to let them know I was ready to do the work.  They scheduled a full day visit within a week of my call and took down about 30 trees.  This work was done quickly and efficiently, with minimal impact on my neigbors.  They neatly stacked several trunks for me to use for firewood.
They were scheduled to come back for a half day a week later to cut down the remaining trees, but they encountered a problem on another job, and could not make it.  They could have done a better job notifying me of this delay  (I had to call them).  When I told them I had roofers arriving in two days (and this was 3 days before Hurrican Sandy hit), they reworked their schedule to squeeze me in the next day.
They came back two weeks later to clean up the remaining branches and to do the pruning and sent a log truck to pick up some material that I could not use for firewood.
When I recieved my invoice, Tree Tech had come in about $300 less than their estime, giving me credit for some brush that I had taken care of myself.
The salesman, Paul, was a pleasure to work with.  I had quotes from three other companies - all for more.  My neighbors were impressed as well and have already asked for quotes from Tree Tech as well.  This is a great company!

In the past year I have used Tree tech twice to remove dead branches and take down some trees that were overgrown. They were very prompt on scheduling an estimate and scheduling the service once the contract was agreed on.
Unfortunately we live in an in-between area for them, so the work was performed over the course of a few days for about an hour or two a day which was not ideal. But the work did get within two weeks of the initial estimate and was very good. The technicians were professional and thorough and did an excellent job with removal and cleanup.
We also had a stump ground up, which was subcontracted out. That took longer to schedule and the clean up was non existant. I am still shoveling up the tree mulch that was left.
Overall though, I would definitely use them again.

Dan looked at the job and we discussed options that included preserving the trees.  He delivered an estimate, answered my questions, and scheduled the job promptly via email.  The crew actually started the job 6 days early, cutting the trees on two consecutive days, picking up the wood the following day and grinding the stumps the following week.  After the job was done, the street was cleaner than when they arrived! I would definitely hire them again - the crew was very friendly and professional.

Very, very good service.  I called to set up an appointment and received a call back within 15 minutes.  A time that was convenient for me was set up for the technician to come look at the property, just a few days later.  The technician was running a little behind (less than an hour) but explained and apologized, then when right to work doing the estimate.  Technician listened to me and did not pressure me to do anything else I didn't need.  The estimate was very fair.  Given the easy nature of the work, I did not need to be present when the trimming occurred, which was very helpful given my work scheduled.  The technician told me they would be out in about 2 weeks and it it was actually a little less than that.  The worker arrived before I left for work that morning (8am) and everything was done and cleaned up before I arrived home.  Very, very happy with the service, would use again, and would recommend to others.

It worked out very well. I was losing my hemlocks to a disease. I was socializing with a person, who was an arborist and he said use Tree Tech. It was an extensive job and it cost me about $3000. Kevin, one of the managers, came out and saw everything, he sent the crew out, they did the work. He educated the crew as to what needed to be done and how to do certain things. There was a follow-up. They did a a great job and we will certainly use them again. They cleaned up, did not leave anything. They are on list for yearly maintenance.

The experience was great.  They were very responsive, came out to do an inspection and gave me an estimate.  They arrived on time, when they said they would.  They did the job quickly and well and they did it with no mess remaining.  My neighbors had used them and that's how I found them.

I was very happy. They came out here; they told me what they were going to do. They went out there and did it. I also went out there and watched for awhile. I expected to pay them, but when they were done, they took off and sent me a bill which I thought was unusual. They were pretty good.

See services provided section: The job went about as well as could possibly be expected. They even came back and removed an additional tree for no additional cost which was not included in the inital contract. I won't hesitate to use this company again!
