Couldn't ask for much more for the price. Gutters needed to be cleaned, set up an appointment online on a Wednesday, the Gutter Cleaning Co. was there the next Monday. Just needed to leave a check for them, didn't need to be home for the work. A++

Fantastic, will be calling again. Easy to set up the appointment online, left a check and gutters are clean. They took the debris and you wouldn't know they were there (other than the gutters running clear). Very nice over the phone when they had to initially reschedule due to below freezing temps. An important item to note is they consider a second gutter anything that is not connected. Not a big deal, but from the website it is not clear. Helps you to pay the correct amount.

The workers somehow didn't notice the garage, and left without completing the work. The owner was very responsive, and had the workers return immediately to do the job.

The Gutter Cleaning Company responded to my email very quickly, and made setting up an appointment very easy. They called the day before service, gave us a time window, came when they said they would and did a great job! They were very professional and easy to deal with.

I submitted an inquiry online to have them come clean my gutters and give an estimate on installing gutter guards. I got a call from the company the day before saying they would be here between 10am-12pm. On the day of the scheduled service, no one showed up during the 10-12 window. The weather was fine during this time, but it started to rain around 1pm. At 1:15, I got a call from the company saying that they would not be able to do the work that day because of the rain. When I had mentioned that it had not been raining during their scheduled time of work, the man said that they having a hard time making it because of all the traffic and crazy rain. This did not make sense to me, as he had just acknowledged that it was not raining earlier but continued to use the rain as an excuse for not making his appointment. He has asked to reschedule on Saturday, but I informed him I would be going with another company.
Response from THE GUTTER CLEANING COMPANY
"I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but as you can see from our other customers we aim to please! If weather was said to be the issue, it most certainly was. We are based out of Fall River, Mass., So it may not have been raining where you are at the time but it was raining at the first job, at the second, and you were the third.... They completed one job on the day because of the rain... Just so you know, We have to always consider the safety of our employees as well as the benefit of the home owner. It was a bad day, but THE GUTTER CLEANING COMPANY always makes good with our customers because WE CARE! So, in the future if you would consider us again, we will come out and give you a grade A performance you deserve. And you can join the long list of happy and satisfied customers! Again we apologize for your inconvenience and hope we do business in the future! Sincerely, AL JR. @ The Gutter Cleaning Company"

Phase One: talking with the owner to arrange for the job
I had already researched gutter cleaners, and even some of the A-rated ones had a few unhappy customers. Plus, the pricing sometimes had fine print attached. I was leery of hiring a company that makes its real money from replacing gutters, and since I wanted the faces of the gutters cleaned so they wouldn't be so ugly (in addition to the internal cleaning necessary for function), I was not eager to finish doing the homework required to hire the right company. Last Sunday, I had to decide whether to buy a ladder and face doing the job myself, or to hire someone, and hope that they did it right. On Sunday, I called the Gutter Cleaning Company, with the intention of leaving a voicemail.
Al picked up the phone live on Sunday, and immediately engaged in helping me scope out the job. His manner was that of a neighborly professional. He mentioned that the formula for my house was a base of $125, plus $25 because it had more than two gutters. He did not ask the total length of the gutters (which other companies often do). He also said that there was a 5% coupon through Angie's list, even though I couldn't find it. He explained that he would honor the coupon deal anyway, so that the job would be $142.50. He said he would call Wednesday to refine a two hour window for doing the job on Thursday. He took my name and phone number, and was pleasant to talk with. A few minutes later he called me back to verify the correct spelling of my first name. A little while later, I realized I had forgotten to ask him about whether his workers would clean the face of the gutters. I left a message, including the actual linear footage, and within short order, he called back. He said that adding this for my linear footage would cost $50, but that I should think twice about it, because gutters don't always clean up that nicely. He envisioned the dirty stain-like drip marks, and said that these can often be resistant. However, if I supplied the cleaning solution and the rags, his men would do whatever they could to help me out. We agreed that I would pretest an area that I could reach on my own, and if I liked the results, I would simply make the check out for $50 more and they would take care of it. His final comment: "We always like to help out when we can."
Phase 2: the actual job
On Wednesday, Al was good for his word, and called me to refine the time window for Thursday to be between 9 and 11. At 9:50, his two workers showed up, and were already aware that they might be cleaning the faces of the gutters as well as the interiors. Mark and David were obviously highly experienced and efficient, but they were something more: devoted to doing an A+ job. They were careful about the use of their latter, they spotted each other for safety, they were careful about the house and lawn, and they were careful to hand-remove any of the leaves that could potentially jam the downspouts before finishing off their high-pressure hose work. Also, they cleaned the faces of the gutters, and when we saw them shining up nicely, they eagerly accommodated my request to clean the surrounding fascia boards while they were up there. They also took pride in this part of their work. You could see whoever was on the ladder enjoying the visible difference that their work made, while whoever was on the ground pointed out any missed spots more easily seen from their vantage point.
Overall: Every professional in every profession should conduct him/herself the way Al and his workers do! I was blown away by the decency and professionalism of their manner. My agreement with Al was $192.50 (honoring a coupon that I couldn't find for my geographic area), and including cleaning the faces of the gutters. Because they also did an excellent job of cleaning the fascia boards (which increased the linear footage and I had not discussed with Al), I made a check out to the company for $225. I also gave each workman a $20 tip -- they were expecting nothing.
Final tips:
1) The spray cleaner that I had them use is called Spray Nine, which I had just heard of from a friend in the construction industry. He said he uses it for all of his outside cleaning jobs, and that it is easy to find.I found it at Rocky's Ace hardware.
2) If you hire this company, I bet you'll be sendin in your own "A-rating" story!

I will recommend this company to anyone looking to get their gutters cleaned. Calling The Gutter Cleaning Company was the best thing we could of done. They are professional and very reliable. They kept their word and were prompt in arriving at my house and the young men that did the job were very friendly and polite. Great experience with this Company.

I called for an estimate and got nearly an immediate call back. They were very professional and gave me a detailed and reasonable estimate considering the work that had to be done. Plus, they made an appointment for the very next day. The gutters were cleaned out thoroughly and they cleaned up any debris that was on the lawn and hauled it away. I recommend them highly.

Very thorough. Al had done our gutters in Nov, 2012 also. More recently his crew power-washed the algae off our colonial

Excellent job by The Gutter Cleaning Company. My request for service was handled quickly, the cleaning plans were outlined thoroughly, and I was contacted the day before with a handful of easy instructions and a two-hour window during which the crew planned to arrive.
