Well this is another triple A reecommendation for David and his crew .  They arrived on time, finished on time, cleaned up beautifully and left me with a wonderful set of new stairs.  Can't say enough about their professionalism and friendliness would definetly use them again!

Dave returned my call the same day I left a message with his wife. We set up a time for an evaluation of not only the back porch  but afew other things that concerned me. A gentleman, very easy to talk to, and listened to my worries over the back porch's safety for my mother. He came on a Sat. and by Tues.I received the estimate. We moved into this house in 1972 and I have no idea the age of the porch. The work took less than 2 days and we can not tell you how so very pleased we are. Dave's attention to detail and his knowledge of his profession is to be admired. We look forward to working with him again hopefully next year. It looks SO AWESOME!!!!!  THANKS DAVE!!!!!

The work done was beyond my expectations, my new stairs with granite slabs are beautiful. Dave and his crew were total professionals, the work was done in 2 days and the clean up job was just as perfect as my new steps. I am so pleased with their work that I am using them again for another project. I highly recommend them for any brick work, you will not regret it.

Was late (several days) in responding to initial telephone call.  For this reason another contractor was called and arrangements were made to do the work.  
When Foote was told that work had been done by another contractor he became rude and abusive on the telephone.

I had called several different local masonry services for quotes in November because our front stairs were in disrepair (loose bricks, etc.) and I was hoping to get them fixed before we had snow.  David was prompt in responding to my call.  He came to the house to see what needed to be done.  At that time he told me he was very busy, but would get the job done before Christmas as long as I was OK with him calling a day or two before to let me know he would be coming.  We have a short set of steps by the road and then another up to the house, so David provided a quote that had the flexibility if we wanted to just do what was really bad now and wait on the "not so bad" or do everything together and also quoted with or without the granite.

After receiving the written quote, which came in just a day or so, we called to make the appointment.  We decided to get everything done and be done with it. We went with brick risers and granite steps.  David did not set up a time with me, but called a few weeks later.  (Just around the time that I thought for sure he was not going to be able to fit us in!)  He showed up around 7AM with another crew member.  The two of them worked like crazy to tear out the old steps.  They did not quit until dark.  The next day they were back at it at 7AM again, but this time with the brick, mortar and stone to build the steps.  They finished by mid-afternoon.  They had to use some asphalt to marry the granite step near the road to the sidewalk.

I came out as they were finishing up and David was showing me the asphalt and how they smoothed it so the cut edge of the granite would not cause anyone to trip.  I made a comment about how the sidewalk on my small cul de sac had some big cracks and that a neighbor had complained to the town about them.  The town came and fixed only the cracks on his side of the circle.  After David and his helper left I came out to look at my new beautiful steps and I noticed they had filled the cracks in the sidewalk in front of my house with the extra asphalt.

I LOVE my front steps!  What a great experience with David and I would recommend him in a heart beat to anyone who needed this type of work done.

Dave was always on time, worked very hard all day and did great work.  He left my back impeccably clean and the work was exceptional.  He finished within 5 days and did not accept payment until the end when I was completely satisfied.  At some point I need a patio done and I will definitely call Dave to do that as well.

They never returned the call, so overall, nothing happened.

David Foote was one of approx. 6 contractors who provided an estimate for adapting my home's previous foundation wall and installing an asphalt driveway where an unusable "sunken" driveway previously existed.His estimate was the most comprehensive and reasonably priced of all that I received. Most contractors that I spoke to were not interested in quoting the whole job, but only gave me a price for their portion of the job.David followed up with me within the exact time frame that I had specified wanting to have the job done to confirm that we were on schedule to begin and even came back to the job site to review with me and address some concerns that I had.He arrived on the day agreed upon to complete the portion of the masonry foundation which needed to be replaced and followed up with me regarding the requisite permit inspections that were done by town building permit inspectors throughout.I should mention that this work, although permitted through the town, was done at this time because of a recent property dispute between myself and a neighbor re: "shared" off-street parking access. David was indeed confronted by this neighbor, in my absence from the home, and handled the "situation" tactfully and professionally and, in fact, called me to relate the details of his conversation with my abutter as soon as it occurred. The work proceeded from there in a timely manner, with Dave's sub-contractor coming by my home to review the fill, grading and asphalt coating of the driveway. He also was very accomodating re: my "time table" for the work to be done as we had elected to complete the additional framing required ourselves.Despite some bad weather and the impending arrival of Hurricane Irene, the entire job was completed before the storm arrived and we were able to park our cars out of harms way...on our own property...just as planned...and for the exact estimated price.We couldn't be happier with the end result...it looks like that was the way the house should always have been!
We would definitely recommend D L Foote and Sons to our friends and neighbors and promise to call David again for all future work!

I contacted Dave after finding a review of his work on Angie's list. Dave returned my call promptly, and came by a few times to go over the job and give me an estimate. Dave was very easy to work with, polite, prompt and did exceptional work. The site was left clean when the job was complete. The home is new construction and I have received more positive comments on the stonework then any other part of the house.Dave also gave me the best price of 3 other stone masons. I would definitely use him again.       

The owner gave us an estimate, and he was on time. They did a very detailed oriented job. It was a great experience. He fixed a staircase that we didn't talk about in the quote and did a great job.

He was wonderful. He rebuilt it and put new caps back on. He was very nice and his prices are very reasonable. I was very relaxed having him.
