STRAWBERRY HILL

I hired Strawberry to plow my driveway last winter and these guys did not do a good job. They left a large area in front of my garage doors unplowed which made it impossible for us to get our cars out of the garage. It took them until the next day to come back and clean that area up and by that time I had already shoveled half of it myself. They will not get out of the truck to hand shovel anything. They just want to plow and go as quickly as possible. They are careless and ran over my driveway markers, damaged my lawn and my sprinkler system, and even broke a bough off of one of my trees by hitting it with their big truck. They charged me $40 per plow and if they had to come back a second time for a storm they charged me twice - even if it was to neaten up after an initial quick plow. I told them to plow only when it's more than 3" deep and they came and plowed anyway with only 1-2" and sent me a bill. I've had several plowing companies over the years and these guys are by far the worst.

They are the local providers.  I’ve had an annual contract with them for $2000 a year.  They did not do the work that they said they were going to do.  They were not timely.  They didn’t check out the system the way they said they were going to.  They didn’t do it on a timely basis.  I’m waiting for them to come back and fix it.  I would not use them again in the future.                   

My repeated request for a detailed plan was dismissed. The wall was built without drainage holes which left the bottom of the property soggy. The yard was leveled by eye using a bobcat which resulted in a less than satisfying outcome. The fill that was brought in was full of construction debris and excess fill was spread in various places including next to the house which destroyed proper drainage. Two large trees were damaged by the equipment. One tree now needs treatment or would have to be taken down. The "topsoil" that was brought in was full of glass and rocks and turned rocks solid so that nothing will grow. Several attempts to remedy the situation never led to a satisfactory outcome and the project was discontinued discontinued without replanting the yard apart from the seeding the lawn which never took.

They are very competitive in their pricing, and the work that they do is awesome. They are very clean and extraordinarily professional. I never see them, all I see is the work that is done weekly, and I think that is great.

AFTER I LEFT WORK EARLY TO MEET HIM, HE CALLS TO SAY HE WILL BE 1 TO 2 HOURS LATE, ARRIVES LATER THAN THAT, IN THE DARK, SAYS HE WILL BE BACK IN DAYLIGHT TO DO ESTIMATE. NEVER SHOWS UP AGAIN, NEVER GIVES ESTIMATE, NEVER RETURNS SUBSEQUENT PHONE CALLS.
