My solid oak early-20th century dresser was in disrepair -- drawers fell out, finish was faded from being in the sun... The guys from Restorers Without Borders communicated well from the beginning about their process and I was really pleased with the results. They came to my home, gave me an estimate, picked up my dresser, and delivered it back to me a few weeks later in beautiful condition. They even carried the dresser up 3 flights of stairs. The workmanship was excellent. The chair had not only completely split apart in one place but a chunk of the decorative wood had fallen out, and the restoration is practically perfect. The solution to my mirror-problem was innovative and now the mirror is all set for another 100 years. I couldn't be more pleased.

Restorers without Borders did a spectacular job reupholstering 3 chairs for us. We could not be happier. The work was fine and careful, and they completed the work ahead of schedule. They are polite and responsive and we recommend them most highly.

Restorers Without Borders (RWB) completed two separate projects for us. The first involved a set of six teak chairs that were over forty years old and badly in need of repair (wood frames had separated at the joints and the upholstery was uncomfortable and quite soiled). RWB basically rebuilt all six chairs and reupholstered them with new fabric that we had provided, along with replacement cushioning. The chairs now look brand new, are super comfortable, and are a perfect complement to our teak dining room table. The second project involved refinishing a set of beautiful antique nesting tables that had gotten sun bleached and water stained over time. RWB stripped and refinished the tops of the tables, and they have been completely restored to their original condition. We couldn’t be happier with the work that was done, and we are already getting so much joy from our “new” furniture! In addition, I should note that both Jeff (the owner) and Afonso (whose skilled workmanship was responsible for the total transformation of our furniture) took great care to address all our questions and concerns at the initial consultation, and we really enjoyed working with them.

Jeff, Afonso and the team did an absolutely fantastic job! I brought in two "well loved" heirloom chairs that needed to basically be rebuilt as well as reupholstered. Getting a quote was easy, and they walked me through all of the work that would need to be done and why. The chairs came back looking brand new! Excellent work and excellent service. Beautiful job. After stripping the wood looked so nice they took the trouble to ask if we wanted it finished natural, which we did and it now looks better than new. They have done other equally good work for us, all for prices I think are fair.

It was a pleasure working with Jeff and his team of highly skilled artisans. They are amazing! Jeff took our mahogany round side table with pedestal base, 3 brass feet, drawer with brass handle, circa "1950". Stripped table in entirety, painted table high gloss white stripped brass handle and three brass feet and replaced color with gold. Transformed and enhanced to a museum quality restoration. We are so impressed with their work, we highly recommend Restorers Without Borders!

Our rocking chair that is over 100 years old is now back next the wood burning stove in the farmhouse where it hasn’t been for over 75 years. The restoration is not only authentic in appearance but the rush seat is extremely comfortable and ready for us to curl up and read by the fire. This is consistent with other pieces that Restorers Without Borders has done for us. They a truly talented artisans and we would never go anywhere else!!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful the Restorers without Borders team was! They came out to see the bed the same day I called and then were able to meet a very tight timeframe with the repair to accommodate my mother’s move to a new elder community. They were gracious and caring and creative about how to fix the problems with the broken, antique bed that I brought them. I had a very nice experience with the team from Restorers Without Borders. They paid a safe, socially distant visit to my building to see and assess the table damage and were able to give me a price range on the spot. They were very thorough with their information and are knowledgeable about a wide range of kinds of furniture. They had a team there to take my table away on the spot, and turned the job around more quickly than we expected. They delivered, reassembled the table, and helped me move my ad-hoc desk back into my storage space; we all wore masks and stayed as socially distant as able. They also took their shoes off as I requested when they came into my condo to set up the table. This is an old table, and they have truly revitalized it and given me back a “table for life.” They weren’t cheap, but the work is high quality and I’d definitely hire them again.
