I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. They sent us the equipment and we put it in ourselves.

We have been very happy with the alarm system. It was VERY easy to self-install. I was a little worried about how complex it might be to self-setup; however, it was no problem and we did our whole house in about 10 minutes. We have been very happy with the service and we accidentally tested it when I rushed out the door and hit the wrong button causing the alarm to trigger. Because I was on a work phone call I ignored the call from the alarm company and the rest of my family on my list ignored the number because I hadn't bothered to give them the phone number from the alarm company (I highly recommend programming the main line into your cell phone so when the alarm company calls you know to answer and not to ignore a number you do not recognize). The police came shortly afterward. So, the alarm works very well! :-)

The deal was good and the service was great. The representatives on the phone gave me suggestions on how to install the equipment and they were great. It was pretty straight-forward to install the system and it took me about 30 minutes.

Product was deliiverd on time and install was easy. Directions were very good. We have a pretty large home so it took some time to set it up but the installation was straightforward and easy. System seems to work really well. Only negative of the system in our opinion is that the keypad style looks older - they could refresh, and that the panel on the keypad does not stay lit all of the time. The panel only lights up when you hit the keys. One note, Simplisafe did not have us set up with the correct police department. They had us aligned with the county policy and I am in the city limits. We had to call them to change that error on their part. Second note, the self-install instructions come via a UBS stick that only works on windows computeres. It would not work on my mac computer. Fortunately, we had a windows pc that we could use.

Package arrived within 7 days in mail. It was on time, and everything in the package was clear, and it took no time to install. Hardware wise, everything has been awesome. In terms of monitoring service, we opted for the $14 plan to try it out. The first time I accidentally triggered the alarm, I never received a call or text from the monitoring center. I was really nervous that the monitoring center had called the cops directly, but after calling into the 1-customer support number, they told me that the the triggered alert had been "cancelled" due to the fact that I input the correct code soon after triggering the alarm. However, I never received a call from the monitoring center. I accidentally triggered the alarm several times after that particular incident, and I never received any calls from the monitoring center. This does worry me a bit. Overall its a good product. I may reach out to customer service regarding this issue and see if they have a direct response.

package arrived in the mail within 7 days. it was super easy to set up. total installation took less than one hour. when we installed the motion sensors, they were both facing towards glass windows. it seems shadows reflecting off the glass windows from the trees, would trigger the motion sensor alarm. so we simply relocated the motion sensors onto the outer walls (facing into the house) and that solved the 'false alarms'. we have a cat under 10lbs, and the motion sensors are not triggered by her movements. we have not yet signed up for the $15 monthly monitoring service, but that price is much lower than the $65 we were paying to ADT every month.

We have been using several national big brand security systems for decades. After all this time, we are disillusioned with their business models. They overcharge for their products, they charge for installation, they lock you into crappy contracts, and they buy up all of the small security companies to create a monopoly. We were disgusted. When we discovered SimplySafe via online searches we were extremely skeptical. But, to our amazement, their system, staff, and business ideal are brilliant. Why can't everyone else be like these folks. What a great product. Simple and effective. More powerful in many ways than other dinosaur systems. Easy to install. And customer service is a dream to deal with. You would do quite well to dump your old security system for SimplySafe.

It has been good and they met all of my expectations.

I needed to wait until I had to fully use the system to rate it fairly and recently on two occasions, a housesitter and a family member had entered and forgotten the code and within the 1 minute limit I was promptly contacted by both phone and text as was my Husband. We cancelled police notification so it appears to work as needed. I choose the mid-level plan which is $25 monitoring per month but you can also have a $15 plan or I believe another for $30 so service level depends on plan level which I do wish they'd have clarified upfront instead of pushing as if all was a $15 flat rate. Still a good price considering but I don't like marketing games. So far I have no complaints.

It was all fine and they were available quickly after the installation to make sure everything was working properly. Whenever we need anything, they've been available right away.

Installation was as advertised and the product works the way it was expected to work. We have since sold the house so the long term performance is not something we can judge.

The system was surprisingly complete, with base station, keypad, keychain remote, siren alarm, and a decent assortment of entry and motion sensors. Very good price for the money. I bought a few extra motion sensors and a panic alarm. Everything arrived quickly with excellent instructions. This wireless system is very well thought out and works very well. It can be used, as I do at least for now, without the optional monitoring service, which is a deal itself compared to the usual suspect alarm companies. Very easy to install and activate. Excellent customer service.

I self installed this system within 30 mins. I decided to use more motion detection units verses entry detectors due to the layout of my house. ( also I have no pets) I have to say I only have had one misfire due to my fault and decided to get an extra siren and a panic button for the bedroom. ( I figured that if anyone is willing to deal with three loud and ear piercing sirens then they are brave enough to be here until the police arrive.) I could hardly deal with the two sirens I had so I figured adding an extra one would be in order to make the entire house alarm to an extent that would hurt a intruder. I really appreciate that I can add and take away components as needed without much hassle. Great product.

They have great customer service and response time and their pricing is great in comparison to other security systems. They do not try to sell you items you do not want. We are very satisfied with the system and the service.

I love the alarm system. It has been great! I have recommended them to my family members! It was very easy to install and we have the top notch monitoring system!

Got the product in two shipments (two parts to the order since I ordered extra sensors. Over the next weekend, I installed the sensors and activated service. I have to admit that while I do like the idea of the key fob, it is a bit unwieldy and awkward due to it's size. I had it in my pocket with my keys one day and for some reason, the fob has now become "stained" for lack of a better word. In any event, installation did not take that long since the sensors that came with the unit were programmed. The extra sensors were a snap to program.

Great security system--easy to install and customer service is excellent.
