Everything has gone well so far. One of the keypads has a little glitch, but the system works how it is supposed to. We did purchase other equipment from the company with extra costs.

By far the best alarm system I have ever dealt with. I installed it myself but ordered it through this company. It was easy to install and the cost was reasonable. Any questions I did have while installing their customer service was excellent.

The technician told me to put a key monitoring device on wood, not on a hard surface. Before that, my screen showed 3 devices not working, and after I moved it as he advised, everything works perfectly.

We purchased the discounted deal listed on Angie's List. The system arrived in a timely manner, was easy to install, and customer service has been great. Our only issue was getting the system to connect to the dispatcher, but the company had already emailed us that they noticed there was an issue before we tried to contact them. We can't wait to pay $15 a month vs the $50-$60 we've paid in the past.

I love these guys, I purchased their product and when it looked like it was going to get here a day later than first scheduled they sent an other one over night at no cost. Now that is what I call customer service

I bought a refurbished Simplisafe 2 alarm system at March 14, 2014 from their website since their supporting crew claimed it still offers the very same product warranty but at reduced prices. I returned the entire system at April 14, 2014 through their prepaid label and collected 100% full refunds by April 24, 2014 without the 1st month monitoring service charges. Here are the pros and cons of Simplisafe 2 alarm system based on my 3+ weeks usages. Pros 1. All sensors are very easy to install which is no difference than other brands but their hardware setup utility, Microsoft window based , is very easy and friendly to use which is a big plus. You can use the USB keyfob to program your system on the computer, then sync with base station which makes reconfigurations of your alarm system extremely easy. 2. Door/window sensor is responsive and no false alarm ever occurred during the 3+ weeks usages 3. Supporting crews are knowledgeable and responsive 4. 60 days tryout is a plus and you will get 100% full refunds if you do not like your purchase Cons 1. Very limited range allowed between base station and wireless keypad, say less than 15 feet. If you have the sound enabled for your base station, then the base station becomes a easy target for intruders to locate once they knew smacking the keypad did not crash the alarm system. 2. Very slow and environmental subjective motion sensor. It will take 2 minutes to warm up and any warm bodies better be away during the warm up period in order not to affect the "decision" making of the motion sensor and I learned this through the supporting crew. The problem is wireless window sensor is not suitable for bathroom window due to humidity issue and you will use the motion sensor instead. It becomes a issue with this very environmental subjective motion sensor which heavily depends on where you place it since lights through the window might trigger it. 3. SMS text alert provided by their monitoring service is highly questionable. I experienced "no message, delayed by half day message, no message, delayed by 8 minutes, no message" during the 2+ weeks monitoring service period on my Samsung Note 3. However, the message will be received at your smartphone within 40 seconds if it works properly. Their crews only acknowledged the initial no message issue since due to their system but blamed the rest were caused by my ATT carrier. However, my wife shared the very same ATT carrier with me and she only experienced "no message, delayed by half day message, delayed by 8 minutes" on her Apple 5S. I highly doubts it is the ATT carrier. 4. Smartphone APP is very bare bone which only allows user to arm/disarm and view event logs. No real time sensor status at all. 5. There will be no 3rd party monitor services available for Simplisafe proprietary alarm system. So, you either go with their non-reliable monitoring service or no monitoring service at all. Conclusions If you are in the market for very straight forward alarm system to install by yourself without worrying about the monitoring services, then Simplisafe might suit your needs. But, if you are in the taste of future expansions of video, home automation, then the simplicity of Simplisafe product is at its cost.

Very easy system to install

I read about SimpliSafe on Angie's List and decided to purchase a home security system that I would install myself. In addition to the basic system, I order two additional entry sensors and an additional motion sensor. I received the system about ten days after ordering it and it came with easy-to-follow instructions. The system was very easy to install, and installation and activation took less than 30 minutes. I was amazed that all went so well so quickly. The system is completely wireless and thus far, it has performed flawlessly. I have chosen the basic monitoring package ($14.99 a month -- and there is no contract meaning I can discontinue service anytime I wish), which also allows me to review an on-line log that tracks all arming and disarming of the system. Also, the system can be expanded or downsized as appropriate. I am very impressed and have recommended this service to others.

There was nothing wrong with the package but I didn't do a lot with it. I could see if I was gonna do something again with a security thing, I would have them do it. They sent stickers and a sign that you put into the yard which I had put it up. They did everything that they were supposed to do. I received the package shortly after. There were everything that we contracted for, I had a checklist and I went through to make sure they said was gonna be there was there.

We have only had it up and running about 30 days. We are very happy with it so far.

It went very fine. They are cost effective. They seemed to have a fair product and price over the other companies.

It went very well ... the self-service installation was simple and the system works as designed. Occasionally, the responsiveness on the keypad hesitates a second or so but it works just fine; just a minor annoyance. Be conscious of the monthly monitoring fees - they advertise the $15 per month but if you want to use the smartphone app it goes up to $25, which is still very reasonable and cheaper than most other 24x7 monitoring services. I would recommend this company and solution to anyone.

Purchased the system online through Angies and worked with Simplisafe to install. They were very helpful in getting the install, just the quality of their offering is pretty ordinary. Alarm does not sound loud and they recommended I buy more equipment - overall quite unhappy with the alarm system at home, though still have it on. When there is an opportunity - would switch to ADT

The system with excellent installation instructions arrived promptly. In addition to written instructions a USB thumb drive which is also a separate panic alarm provides step-by-step instructions for the installation of the various components of the alarm system. System that I purchased included two keypads, four door or window entry sensors, one motion sensor, the previously mentioned remote USB panic alarm and the base station. The base station contains a siren and utilizes the cell phone signals to transfer the status of the system to the SimpliSafe monitoring facility. The first base station shipped to me operated on the T-Mobile cell system. The base station had difficulty communicating with T-Mobile. The customer support was terrific and the company shipped an easily installed new chip that works on the Verizon mobile system. There are several advantages to the system ? it can be quickly installed; it operates off the cellular system so if the intruder cuts the phone lines to your building the alarm system still operates; you can decide whether or not you wish to be connected to the monitoring facility and if you choose to do so there is no long-term contract, you can do it month-to-month. The monitoring options are fully explained at the SimpliSafe website. I have been exploring the advantages of new technology and have experience with a hardwire system in another residence. With a recent break in at a nearby residence, I quickly searched Angie's list to explore options. I learned about the SimpliSafe system and the fact that I could purchase a basic package system at a discounted price through Angie's List with a 100% refund guarantee. With the basic intrusion system now installed, I can explore the options of adding additional safety devices to the system, such as, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, water leak detection, glass breaking sensor, and low temperature monitoring. SimpliSafe has met my need at an attractive price, with excellent support and great customer relations.

I was nervous about installing the system on my own, but it was super easy! The instructions were straightforward and each component was easy to install. I had the whole thing up and working within 30 minutes. The monthly alarm monitoring fees are incredibly reasonable. Previously, we had a different system and the monthly charges were $50. SimpliSafe's basic plan is only $14.99. We have the interactive plan, which allows us to monitor via smartphone app, get text alerts, manage the system settings online, all this for only $24.99! Both the app and website are very user friendly. You can add components at anytime, we added panic buttons for the bedrooms and smoke alarms. I haven't had any need to contact tech support or customer service, the system works very well.

There simply is no better deal out there. Setup was a breeze and the system works as advertised.

I started out with a $13,000 security system about 17 years ago with a lifetime warranty for service and parts. Since then, that company got taken out by about four other companies, the last being ADT. The monitoring fees keep going higher and the service got worse. They refused to honor any of the previous agreements. I got fed up with them and their poor level of service. I heard about this company thru Angle's list and did quite a bit of research on their product and others. I was a little skeptical, but decided to buy the Simplisafe2 system. The system is easy to setup. I had it for about a month now and so far I am pleased. The company was very responsive in answering my questions. They have great resources on their web site. I was surprise at their quick response to a question on their Facebook page. Yes, the system has room for improvement. I think these guys are on the ball and will hit it out of the ball park! I bought thru Angie's list because they were offering this same system with 2 keypads for the same price paid thru Amazon. I am just hoping that this company will continue to keep cost down and don't get carried away once they start stealing customers away from the big players like ADT.

They shipped the system to me fairly quickly after I purchased the big deal. I've called them a few times for help. Sometimes I've been on hold a long time, and I've had a few false alarms. The set up was easy.

Ordered the kit and a few extras. It was very easy to install and set up. Simpli-safe has been very responsive when ever I had a question and walked me through anything I needed. Monitoring system works well and lets me know if the system loses connection. Overall, a very good value.

Great, low-cost home security system. They provided responsive email replies to any questions, and the package arrived in just a couple of days. Overall this is a great option for anyone who wants a basic home security system without paying the high cost of a big-name company or getting locked into a long-term contract.
