It was very good. I did have to call customer service for help once, but they were good. It was very easy to install. I did sign up for a service where I can turn the system on and off from my phone. There are fees associated with that, but it’s not contractual.

The package came in the mail quickly and the system was easy to "install." It was really a matter of plugging in the base and sticking on the the sensors. It was fine for about a week, and then the sensors started falling off. I had extra adhesives, so I put them back up a few times, but in the end they spent more time on the floor than on the doors/walls. The motion detector did stick well. Additionally, the sound of the standard alarm when triggered is not very loud. In order to get a louder alarm you have to purchase it separately. The price is right, but if the equipment doesn't stick then it doesn't do much good. For $250 I was hoping for better. To be fair, I did get an email from the company asking for feedback. I will be sharing my experience with them as well. It seems like it would be an easy fix.

I initially bought this system for myself and instead put it in my sister's house after my house was broken into. I have another system from another company that I was replacing. The product came very quickly and was easy to install.

We purchased the system online and they sent it to us. We were able to do the install. The fact that it was plug and play and easy was great. They offer all the same service as other large alarm companies. If the alarm is set off, it contacts the police department.

The service worked out just fine. We got the system within a week or so after I purchased the big deal. There weren't any issues. We purchased the big deal for $259, and I bought some additional add ons, so I paid more. The price was reasonable.

Since already had a system, was very familiar how to install and set up system. Took longer to take things out of the boxes than to install them and customize the system. For the first time customer, everything is spelled out step by step. The big thing is TO READ EVERYTHING! I read some of the review of SimpliSafe on Amazon. It was obvious that 90% of negative comments were caused by lack of reading or following directions step by step. If you get on the companies website and set up a personal login, you can customize the system in many, many ways. You can specify how each alarm component is activated, how long you have to leave after setting the alarm, how long you have to disarm it when you return, etc. You can go without monitoring, a basic monitoring for about $14 a month, or an extensive monitoring package at $25 a month. (We had a major national company in the past which charged far more per month for far less monitoring). If you get the more extensive monitoring package, you can customize it extensively. We specified how people are notified, texts we receive (ranging from everything to just when there is an alarm - and each phone or email can be customized), etc.. When we are at our summer home, it was easy to set the winter home to alarm with no delay, have immediate police notification, and phone calls to neighbors in case of an alarm, etc. (We are texted immediately, but aren't called until after the police and neighbors are called since we are miles away). Compared to our previous system that required multiple phone calls (and sometimes a service call to the house) to make changes, it is nice to be able to get into our account and make changes in a matter of seconds.

When my son went to install the SimpliSafe system he discovered I already had a hard wired system. My experience with SimpliSafe was very good and I would have installed the system. Seem to be a reliable company.

Every thing arrived and I put up the items. Motion sensor had to be replaced. Stopped getting the text messages due to their system and my mobile service having a disconnect. I have had some glitches with using the remote but manageable. Still great system!

Wonderful! The alarm system arrived about 3 days after the order was placed and took about 20 minutes to install all the components and activate the alarm monitoring service on-line. Love that the entire system could be installed and configured by myself and that there is no contact involved. The price for the system and monitoring service is excellent and the quality of the product is top-notch. In the first month with a SimpliSafe system, our child has accidentally set the alarm off two times. Both times the monitoring center called to check on us in about 20 seconds, it was really rather impressive.

Their tech support leaves a lot to be desired. Most read off the script instead of actually listening or trying to troubleshoot. Fabio finally got it right when he diagnosed a bad base unit. Once it was replaced, all went well. The self install went well and took very little time.

I have this system installed by myself. It has been up for couple of months and I am satisfied with the system and the monitoring service. Tested their monitoring service and they do response quickly. The system is very easy to install. You basically just attach to any entrance/windows you want to be secured and they work out of the box. I can also arm or disarm the alarm using my cell phone, which is neat. And you don't need phone line. However I read articles about the weakness of these wireless security systems. High-tech thief could acquire device that can break the code and easily disarm the system wireless, just like stealing a car with remote controller if they can break the code. Some landline security company argue wireless security alarm is useless. But same thing with landline, thief can cut the phone line and the system is for displayed as well. Anyway back to the review, if Simplisafe could extend their customer service to 24-7, it will be great. Otherwise if you have equipment issues, then you'll have to wait until their business hours to get help. Overall I'm happy with this product.

very easy to order and install

it was very easy to install. my only problem was the cellular phone card in the control module was for a T mobile service. I t wouldnt work because i dont have a cell phone signal for T mobile at my house. I called and the overnight shipped me a Verizon card with instructions to replace the card. Afterwards it work perfectly. I advise anying who orders this system to check on cell service and order for it for Verizon, T Moble, ATT etc.

I ended up buying more sensors than what was in the angie's list promotion. It is a self installation system, very easy to install. One of my sensors (CO monitor) had an issue, which they replaced. So far we are happy with their service. Some times reaching a call center rep takes a long hold time.

See above. Example: after some extensidrywall repairs to our house, our smoke alarm was erratically going off. Company replaced free, shipping new one immediately and providing free return shipping for malfunctioning product.

Received the materials promptly and they followed up with a phone call and emails to assure that we did not have questions. The system seems to working well.

Installation and setup were easy, as was activation. I later purchased a smoke detector and water sensor, which were also very easy to add. The entire system is wireless allowing you to easily install all the components yourself. The sensors attach with double sided adhesive tape that is tabbed to allow removal. The package contains extra pieces of tape if you decide to move a sensor. The base unit contains a cellular "phone" that communicates with the monitoring service, and can be placed anywhere in the house. While testing the system for the first time, I was surprised at how quickly the monitoring service contacted me to verify they had received the signal from my unit. I also like that the system "talks" to you to tell you when the system is armed, disarmed and if you have a door/window open when you set the alarm. When it is not armed, the base station chimes to indicate when a door/window is opened.

They shipped everything quickly, and sent emails to accompany that contained absolutely everything that I needed.
