I've heard about this company for a while, so when I saw they had a deal on Angie's list, I decided to give them a try. The system was very easy to set up. Some people compained the adhesive tape doesn't stick, but I haven't found that to be an issue. I just make sure the area is clean before I hang the sensors. My advice for anyone getting a DIY system like this would be to walk around your house and think about what sensors/and where you want to put them before you buy. (look on their website for what they offer). THEN buy the package that suites your needs. It is a little cheaper to get the right package, than buy a smaller one and have to add later. The internet monirotring is great. I can log in to my house from my phone or the website. I only wish they had a webcam option so I can keep an eye on the pets once in a while.

Overall good system for basic protection. Easy to install and easy to add and operate...

The service went fine. I received the product in a timely manner. I have not yet installed the system though, however. I paid an additional fee to order a few extra key pads.

The service went well. My only complaint is that the batteries run out quickly. They did get the system to me pretty quickly after purchasing it. I installed the system my self and it was pretty easy to do.

It was fabulous. I’d recommend them! It works! The price is right, it’s simple to use, and I’ve not had any issues with customer service if I had to call them. I called them to downgrade my online/interactive system and where it was on the website. I got to a customer service rep immediately who took care of it. It was a little slow to receive the product.

Overall I am very pleased with this system. Is it perfect? No. Is it a good value? Yes. Does the company provide great support? Yes. Does the product work well? Yes. I purchased 2 of these packages via an Angies List Big Deal. Shipping was as promised. Self install went pretty well on both, with a few minor caveats. At one location, the shipped T-Mobile module did not get good signal. I was promptly shipped a Verizon module, which I swapped with the one inside the base unit...the unit then connected. Installation was really pretty easy. You just have to be careful and thoughtful. The system is pretty easy to understand how to use if you are reasonably savvy with websites and gadgets. The few items that I do not like are: 1. the keychain design is pretty lousy. It is a little big, and the cap comes off ridiculously easily. I think it's pretty nervy that they offer to sell you replacement caps. The design is so bad they should just send you new ones. Better yet...just change the design and replace the bad one. However, this is only a little cap that protects the USB plug...not a huge deal. 2. The screws they provide are just incredibly too small and short. They are very frustrating to try and hold to screw in your sensors. They are also soft and can strip. 3. When programming sensor behavior, you are able to specify if a sensor should be "instant trigger" (ie, go off the instant it is triggered). This is great, but...it should really allow you to differentiate the "instant" behavior between Home and Away modes. For example...if I am home, and forget the alarm is on, I don't want it going off instantly if I forget and open a sliding glass door. However, if I am away...and that same slider opens...I want it to trigger instantly! 4. The initial programming of the extra siren does not function as indicated by the manual. I had to search the internet to find an easy method that worked. 5. The keypad should really have a back cover. If you want to move it temporarily (say to a nightstand), the batteries can just fall out. 6. I would love the smartphone app even more if it would tell me (easily) if there were sensors (doors/windows) were open...and which one(s). That would be VERY helpful. Overall I found this to be a good value. We pay the $25/month for monitoring with remote control and feel it is a reasonable value. I wouldn't feel that way if it was more, however, considering what competitors charge. I do really like the "no contract" approach. I also liked that when the box arrived, the necessary forms for local permits for my location(s) were included...nice touch. I made a few phone calls initially to ask a few questions regarding the installation. Every one of the Simlisafe employees I dealt with was very pleasant, knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. They obviously hire well, and emphasize training and good customer service. Wait times have been reasonable. We have not had any false alarms (thankfully) so I can't speak to the monitoring very much. However, when I was installing the flood sensor, I accidentally touched the sensor prongs, and triggered the alarm. I received a call on my cell from the monitoring company very quickly. I have had the base station go wonky (unresponsive to the website and phone app) 1 or 2 times. I had to remove the bottom cover of the base station, remove a battery, re-assemble...and all was well. Easy to do if you are home, not so much if you are away. Overall, I like the company and like the product. I recommend.

Order the alarm and 13 extra sensors. Installation was quick and easy. It is a good value for the money.

We installed the system ourselves, It was easy! We have been with them for 3 months now and the monthly fee is $9.99/month. They are good. We traveled a lot this summer and their service was easy to manage.

My expereince was great! The system works as planned. I have had to call once or twice with questions. I did have to wait awhile to talk to someone. The product arrived in a timely manner and they give a disc with the instructions on how to assemble.

I Ordered this security system that would require me to install or have the system installed myself. I opted for another system and returned the unopened product to the seller without any problem for a full refund.

They were pleasant when I contacted them. Their customer service was proactive. I liked that it had a siren. I wanted something that detects people before they break in. I didn’t install the system and will send it to my uncle. The price was fair.

It was a self install security system. I pay for the service monthly and I pay $15.00.

This system is really easy to set-up and have connected to monitoring. Everything's completely wireless and should the alarm be triggered the siren is amazingly loud. I like the convenience of controlling my system online and receiving updates and alerts via text. So far it's been a great experience. I would recommend SimpliSafe!

Skeptical at first, but the sensors are as easy to install as described, and the included instructions are very direct. The sensors apply with fairly strong adhesive, which is forgiving enough to allow for re-placement. Once all the sensors are installed you can activate home monitoring online, at which point you have a 3 day period to get used to the system. Highly recommended setup for renters who wish to have a security system.

The alarm system arrived on time and I was able to install very quickly following the instructions. The one sensor not working properly was replaced promptly. The system works great.

Items were shipped on schedule. I have used these guys for two years now and can't say enough about the flexibility of their system and what they have to offer.

The service went great. They mailed the system out to us in a timely fashion. The system was very easy to install on my own and is easy to use. It is nice to have the option for a contract if we need it later down the road.

The alarm itself is not very loud but I do like the text updates when ever the alarm goes off or it is turned on or off. Can set up to four different password codes for different people and you know who used the "guest" password by the number it is assigned.

I didn't realize that the system was to be manually installed. I called twice to make sure it was getting sent to my renter's house, and they still sent it to my home. I only received one sensor and one motion detector for the price, and I think two of each would have been better.
