SimpliSafe Home Security

We're happy with it. I just love their equipment. It's definitely easy. They do good work and it's good service. I ordered it from the company, I installed it myself, and everything was good. They helped us over the phone. It's pretty straight up. If I have any problems I call, and they explain it over the phone. It's pretty easy.

I bought a big deal for this service and it was good. It is all on a mail basis so they sent a package. After I ordered it they sent it within a week. Installing it was pretty easy. I have a monthly service too. It is reasonable and it also is easy to move from one house to another house. I have not really had any issues and I am pretty pleased. It is not a personalized service but everything is pretty easy and streamlined. The price is very affordable and the quality is decent. They were very professional.

The big deal was okay. I haven't received any complaints, so I guess it was good. It did not cost more than the $199 of the big deal. I had the box shipped straight to the person.

They have charged $399 for the equipment and there is a monthly $25 for the actual monitoring. However, I’m still having some issues with it. Every now and then my sensors stop responding. I called customer service couple of times and they would say remove the sensor and add it back. I already did that multiple times and I am yet to see one week of constant service with all my six sensors working without any hitch.

The service for the big deal form SimpliSafe Home Security has been so far so good. Clearly, they shipped it out a couple of days after the order was placed, it has been like 4 or 5 months. It was easy to install. The only thing is that sometimes it not exactly works, it doesn’t function the way it is supposed to be. I have called them and they just asked me to reset it a couple of times. It is a security alarm so you would want it to be responsive when you need it. Otherwise the installation was easy and the product seems okay. There are other products that are similar but less expensive. It stops sometime. They just ship the stuff to you they are not here for installing it.

The system arrived on schedule. The installation was very simple. The price for the monthly service is the lowest I've found. Plus there is no contract. I believe the key pads need an upgrade. The keypad does not light up, making it difficult to see the keys. The keypad does not beep when you enter the house, which is troublesome when a member of the household enters and is not aware the alarm in engaged. The tower MUST be in close proximity to the keypad, which then limits it's location. If these upgrades are made, it would be easily the best system I've owned.

The security system installed very easily. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I couldn't get the outside alarm/siren to work at first, but when I called the agent she told me how to reset it and then it worked perfectly. I am very happy with the system. I am planning to add more motion detectors to it. Very cost effective system.

It went fine. My husband installed it after they shipped it. It’s working great. We haven’t had any problems. It was really easy and the directions were easy to follow.

I first tried the system in my condo in preparation for moving into a new house where I wanted to use the system. Our builder had included a security system in the house that was completely satisfactory, however the contractor also provided monitoring for $25 which required a land line (add $20 for that and not as secure) or about $40/month for a cell phone connection. The Simplisafe system supplies the cell monitoring for $15/month. They supplied the equipment and have been very available via phone to help me with the installation. They even emailed me that the system was not working (this during the transition while moving from the condo to the house). I hope to tie both systems together so that the Simplisafe system can monitor the builder's system. This is in the research phase, so if anyone reading this knows how to do that, I would appreciate some feedback. (gleatherbury@gmail.com)

They are good. There are no problems at all.

Overall the process went well. Easy to install with the exception of the serial numbers which I had to reprogram since a few were incorrect. This took about 90 minutes to install and test everything. Initially I was gettingnan error message which stated that no test message was being sent to Simplisafe. I called the customer service number and was told that they needed to send me a part for Verizon cellular since mine was loaded with T Mobile cellular. I was instructed to replace the part which seemed simple though odd, since it would have been easier to send a new base station. I tried the system a couple of dqys later, the test wet through fine. I never reveived the part to replace so I think it was a problem on their end or perhaps an inexpeienced customer service agent. I ordered additional entry sensors which were a breeze to add and install. The sign that you are given to put outside does not contain a post so it is rather useless. I would suggest sending a post with it so you can display in your yard. Overall, I think it is a good value especiallythe monitoring for 14.99 per month.

I had a few problems in setting it up. I called customer service and they walked me through it.

We purchased a SimpliSafe system from Angie's list for about $300. It consisted of the base unit, four door/opening sensors, a motion sensor, a freeze sensor, a keypad, a remote/usb combo, and an external alarm. It was shipped to us in a timely fashion. We installed it about a week or so after it arrived. The installation was mostly deciding where to stick the sensors. The setup instructions were strait forward and easy to implement. To configure the base station, they have you use the USB stick they sent you that contains a program to run on your computer. The software on that USB isn't very good and it failed for me which resulted in a bricked USB. They can reprogram the USB via the base station to reset it but you can also program the base station via the internet if you buy one of the monitoring services (currently about $14 to $25 a month). I am ignoring the bricked USB stick and just using the web. I subscribe to the highest $25 a month monitoring service as it allows us to turn the system on and off via our smartphones. This works well with our family of five as each individual can operate it as needed. We have not used the "you have 30 seconds to enter your pin" process yet. There is no contract and you can stop or change the monitoring service at will. We did have to have SimpliSafe send out a different cellular card since the standard card, which works on T-Mobile didn't work well for us. On T-Mobile's coverage map, we are in a coverage shadow. Oh well. They sent a Verizon card and it works fine. You can use the system without cellular connection but then there is no monitoring or controlling from smart phones. We have had the system for a month and we are growing used to it and it appears to be functioning well. No alarms, false or real, yet. This seemed to to use a better solution than a long contract with traditional services and that is wire free.

Easy install. We have used Simplisafe on an out of state residence since 2013 and it's been very reliable. When we bought another home in Kalispell, we got a system for there too, based on our satisfaction at our other house. Support is hardly needed, but when we had questions, they were professionally and courteously answered. Highly recommended !

Great! Easy to install as advertised.

The system was shipped fast, arrived exactly as advertised and was easy to install. I was able to install it myself in less than two hours. The system performs exactly as advertised. I would recommend this product to friends and family.

The set-up was easy to understand, but we were having a problem getting the test signal to work. I called in, and they suggested we try a Verizon chip instead of the one that was provided with the system. They shipped it for free and provided postage for us to send back the chip that didn't work. That was the fix we needed! Everything has run so smoothly since then! I highly recommend this system because you can customize it to the specific needs of your home! That means you only pay for things you can actually use. We actually ordered a kit and then added a couple of extra components a la carte.

The home security system was shipped quickly and I was able to install and add on additional components easily. Some complaints about the dispatch service and cell signal needed have been resolved.

First purchased the $199 system which was easy to install following the instructions. Realized that I needed to purchase additional Entry sensors and a Glassbreak sensor for $133 in order to effectively cover my home. The system works as promised once activated. Just wished they had provided a stake or spike for the yard sign that was included with the system. I only was able to use the window decal.

Alarm system was sent promptly. Can reach a person on the phone relatively quickly. System easy to install - but does take some time depending on how many sensors you have. Can't beat the monthly price compared to ADT.

Perfectly, no issues. Activation of the monitoring service was simple. Operation seamless.

The shipping was prompt. The description was accurate. The instructions were easy to follow. I love my new home security system.

Install went pretty easy, I did it in about 2 hours; still have a few components i want to add on to it but the basics are in.

I enjoy the services they provide. My experience has been satisfactory.
