The service was pretty good. There were two issues; one was I couldn't delete it. It was security stuff so there were two false alarms and I had the police show up to my door when I was on vacation. It was pretty inconvenient; not being able to let them in or provide the key. I remotely turned off the alarm when I was on vacation so in the period of two weeks the alarm system was shut and my house was unprotected. I initiated for a refund at that time because when I came home I determined that the reasons that the police gave from the malfunction was not applicable because the censor was near to the curtain; so when the curtain was moved it triggered the censor but that wasn't true because the censor that provided the false alarm was in the basement and there was no curtain...no movement. The second was, the purchase process itself. I was able to purchase additional deal from Angie's List so that was returned easily..no problem. But it took a long time to get a refund from Angie's List from the original purchase of the deal.

So far I don’t have any problems. I had problems initially, the line didn’t work and I had a very weak signal, then they changed a chip or something and since then, I don’t think I have had any problems. It is $200 for the security system and $15 monthly.

It's fine. I had already purchased a similar system from them before. I already knew that I liked it. If we wanted it monitored, we have to sign the contract. It's a month to month contract. It's just $15 a month. It's not a contract per se. It's easy to use. I haven't had any problems with them. When alarms go off, they call it in. It's cheap compared to a lot of other services because it runs off a cellphone signal for about half the price; we don’t need a landline. The shipping was punctual; they ship very quickly.

Setting up the security system was very easy. So far, I'm happy with the its capabilities. We opted for the monthly monitoring, which is very reasonable when compared to contracts required with other companies (such as ADT, etc).

Fine. Everything was as described and seems well made, worked out the box, which was good. I use it primarily for when I am away, I feel safer knowing that it's being monitored. I had one question and they got back to me within a couple of hours.

It went well. Currently everything is fine. They didn't come out because its a self-installation. I just received the package and installed it myself. The package arrived in just two or three days so it was very quick. I think the most critical point of about the subscription being optional. I may choose to pay every month a certain fee for the centralized security. Other than that, I can also use it stand alone so I think that's the most appealing thing for me.

It's excellent. It was just easy to install and it's working out for us.

Instructions were easy to follow. We ended up adding more security to extra doors and windows and paid additional money. We love that it is portable and can be moved with you, if you move. The only reason I gave SimpliSafe a B in professionalism is that we installed the system ourselves (saving money) and we are not professional security system installers. It was easy to do. The product itself is excellent.

Very "simple", very convenient - excellent service

The monitoring service is about $20 a month. They have a full feature system at a bargain price with a low monthly commitment. I would tell others to study what they have before you place your order. We would use them again. Our experience was fine.

we recently purchased a new home - it is intended for the time being as a secondary residence, thus the need for a quality residential security system with 24/7 monitoring service. We contacted numerous companies providing home security services (equipment and monitoring services), among of which some well known brands. What put us off was either the high equipment cost or, if the equipment was reasonable, the inevitable high monitoring costs, most of whom requiring long term contracts, similar to what cell phone providers do. Doing the math adding the equipment cost to the monthly monitoring - SimpliSave Home Security came in over a two year period at half than the nearest comparable competitor. I was impressed. I purchased the kit specifically promoted on Angie's List for $199 and added a few more items that summed up to an additional $ 167 in order to be able to customize our unique needs and to provide the best security option for the rather unconventional layout of our home. Our home has no less than 5 external doors and 16 windows. One of the large, well-known brand competitors of SimpliSave Home Security quoted us more than $2000 in equipment for our particular need, in addition to a monthly monitoring charge that was more than triple the cost SimpliSave Home Security charges. The equipment installation is very easy - no need for wiring, drilling holes or any other invasive methods. The alarm system is cellular phone based, thus no need to have a hardline phone service in the house. The water sensors and freeze sensors are a great additional option, particularly if you use the system in a secondary home. I had multiple contacts with SimpliSave Home Security by telephone and email. The company is headquartered in Boston, MA and their offices were shut down for a day earlier this week on account of the great winter storm impacting the New England area. But despite this situation, staffers seemingly worked from home to service the clientele. Because of the winter storm's impact shipping of my new equipment was delayed, but in order to still keep my deadline the staff at SimpliSave Home Security assured me that they had upgraded the shipping so I would receive it still in time. Particularly a fellow named "Mike" was very courteous and most helpful. He even pointed out to me that I had accidentally ordered their equipment twice and with his help, as well as the staff at Angie's List, the duplicate order situation was promptly corrected.

I LOVE my simplisafe systems. After the first one I purchased for the first house I was rehabbing I decided to buy a second system for the next house I rehabbed. I also bought one more system to replace my ADT system. The alarm has been fantastic. It has worked as advertised and has successfully stopped two burglary attempts at the second property I rehabbed. The first break in attempt occurred at 4:12 AM. The burglar successfully entered the house, but the motion sensors went off and he fled without getting anything! The second break in attempt they nearly breached a door, but the door sensor went off and they fled once they heard the alarm. Another thing I love about the system are the emails/texts messages anytime there is an alarm, error, or activity such as arming or de-arming the system. I have a full time career as well as rehabbing the houses and it is priceless to KNOW when my contractors have arrived and departed the job for the day! I have a third house I am rehabbing now and I am literally configuring the system for it tonight. I cannot overstate how happy I am with this system. I do not know how people rehab houses without this system!

He just sent it in the mail and it's a self install. It was good and all done online. The shipping was prompt.

I am very happy with it. I feel a little more secure when I leave as I have an alarm system now. They never called and harassed me which I liked.

System works as promised. The cellular service where the system is located (Hilton Head Island, SC) has spotty coverage for the T-Mobile cellular connection that was originally provided. I called customer service they shipped my a Verizon replacement circuit board with simple to follow directions. They even credited my account for the time it took to replace the part. Have had the system in use for 6 months now with no problems!

It's very easy to install. The only downside is, sometimes the sensors are a bit too unforgiving, so sometimes when a window is nudged we've had false readings. It would be better if they offered some sort of video surveillance.

I first bought the $199 system from Angie's list thinking that if nothing else, I would have a decent stand alone home burglar alarm. Once I received the kit I realized how easy the set-up would be. Like everyone else, the hardest part about install is figuring out where to put the sensors. I placed the motion detector in the living room and set up the entry sensors on the doors. The freeze sensor is placed near the water lines in my basement and is set to notify me if the temperature gets down to 41 degrees. The entry sensors are not practical for our crank-open Anderson windows, although I am sure they could be used. I priced out the additional sensors we would need and found that it was cheaper to order them separate rather than try to use one of the larger kits. I ordered the water sensor, another motion detector and a smoke alarm. The additional sensors were so easy to add it is ridiculous! When using the system as a stand alone, there are no fees, but the system will only sound an alarm and not contact you, police or the fire department. After the easy install I used the system for about two weeks in order to get used to it before I decided to get the monitoring service. There are two levels of service, $14.99 and $24.99. I opted for the $24.99 service. I can now turn the alarm on and off from my smart phone. I can see what the temperature is near my water lines and I get notifications when the alarm is set or off. Once you activate service, Simplisafe gives you 3 days to get used to the system before it goes live. So, what do you think happened on the very first day it went live? I get a notification that the motion detector in the living room is sounding an alarm! A point of advice: have a plan on what to do if the alarm sounds or you get a notification! Well, after hectic moments on the phone with the monitoring company, I decided to "call off the dogs" being that it may have been my cats. Needles to say it was a little nerve racking wondering if someone had actually broken in, but, nobody had. I realized that I had placed that sensor where the cats "could" climb. Also, I have two cats, and if they were to be wrestling on the floor, they may be enough to set off the motion detector. I moved the detector and flipped it upside down (the motion detectors look straight out and down, by flipping it it looks out and up which is enough to catch a walking bad guy but not the cats). The system has Home and Away modes which I really like. It is nice to know that I can set the alarm for Home while I am there and the system will only look at the sensors I had set for Home. I had an issue with cellular reception, but customer service was all over it and sent me out a Verizon module overnight. No problems since. I forgot to set the alarm one day. I brought up the app on my phone and set it. Within 30 seconds I got a notification that the alarm was set. That has been the only incident. You can set the sensors to meet your needs. You can also have notifications sent to whomever you want. Otherwise it is nice to know that there is another layer of protection on my home. I highly suggest watching several youtube videos about the system to see if it is right for you. Simplisafe offered a 60 day satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like it return it, at least they did when I bought mine. The only thing this system is lacking is video. But I hear that may be coming soon.

You have to install the stuff itself and it's all quick and easy. I would recommend them 100%.

They are very helpful over the phone and solve any problems. It took about 15 minutes to get the other alarms installed. They are very efficient price wise and you can cancel anytime. They are a very good alarm company and are the place to go.

My experience has been very good, so far. They were very straightforward. They gave me the pro and cons about their product versus their competitors. It was a very good and frank conversation. They answered all my questions politely and installation was simple. They were very fast to respond so I have been very pleased with them.

I applaud SimpliSafe for a well-designed and well-conceived security system product. Some of our friends have other systems that are clunky, expensive and problematic, but we are quite pleased that our SimpliSafe system avoids all of these problems. I expect that SimpliSafe will be acquiring a larger and larger share of the security market, and deservedly so. Kudos to this company.
